I was eating really well before I found out I was pregnant. Need to get back to that. I've been eating lots of crap. Freezies and popsicles with my daughter recovering from surgery and just whatever strikes my fancy. I'm enjoying ice. Clamato is my favourite. (Does everyone know Clamato? Tomato and Clam juice. Caesar mix. Sounds worse than it is)
Currently eating some takeout Chinese food from a place near work. This is the first food craving I've actually given in to. I haven't had it since February, so I figured I could indulge.
Last night around 3AM I was wide awake and had pretty specific cravings (Nutella banana crepe, chili dried mango, banana nut smoothie), I settled for crackers and a plum. This morning I’m having crackers and a homemade latte, even though the latte no longer gives me the thrill it used to before being KU (I’ve asked MH to dial down the caffeine so mostly tastes like hot milk )
I think I’m gonna go buy some Nutella and dried mangos today lol.
@purpleteacher82 - oh, I LOVE bagels right now!! I really want them all the time. *chagrined look* I made myself eat chicken florentine for lunch, hopefully that earned me a bagel later!
@navete I mourn my morning double shot latte. MH gets mad when I forget to change the single back out to the double. He says single shot lattes are "inhumane".

So I am a coffee addict and I am so indifferent to it lately. It's part of my identity almost so it feels weird. I'm sure it will come back when I return to work in September and am dragging my ass but for now I'm barely having enough caffeine to keep the withdrawal headache away.
@meggyme I'm actually having a slight aversion to coffee, but I'm still having the diluted version out of habit and stubbornness. Sometimes I hover over MH's strong coffee and take deep inhales...I catch myself doing the same with his glass of wine too, ha. And lol at YH's comment

I've been eating my share of treats (see yesterday's post in FitMoms about the 4 M&M cookies). But for lunches this week, I've been all over this salad. So cool and refreshing! I really haven’t wanted anything specific except for skittles which I don’t even normally like. Everything else just sounds gross to me but I’ve been making myself eat mostly bland stuff and carbs like baked chicken, saltines, bread.
I'm on a chicken soup kick. I'm calling it my "fourth meal" since every day around 3:30 or 4 oclock i feel like i NEED a small bowl. NEED. Also... It's 90 degrees. Why am I eating hot soup?!

Soooo naturally I am not a healthy eater at all, but I tried really hard to clean up my diet when we were TTC because of I was having some hormone issues. So for breakfast some mornings I’ve been eating eggs with fruit or cereal with fruit. For lunch I’ve been doing spring greens salad with balsamic dressing, and for dinner we usually do some sorta chicken dish with some veggies. Tonight we went out for Mexican though and it was SO SO good! We’re leaving for vacation tomorrow though so I don’t think I’ll be having the healthiest of diets in the week ahead
Still not feeling like eating a lot. Although the other day I really wanted a bean burrito and this morning a sausage egg McMuffin sounded great. DH also grilled the best steak ever the other day and I couldn’t get enough!
ohhh, @novelblessings, you just made me crave a burrito! A bean and cheese burrito sounds delish!! I may have to have DH take me for Mexican this weekend.
@novelblessings & @catlady2015 All I can think about is good Mexican Food and Street Tacos. I'm so thankful that I live Oklahoma with lots of options including a shady looking Taco Truck down the street with amazing lengua tacos. I stuffed my face this evening and still want more. I may have to hit up my other favorite shady looking taco truck tomorrow.
It's funny, I don't remember having any food aversions my first time around, and I thankfully avoided morning sickness - I would just get a little queasy if I didn't eat soon enough after waking. This week I've had the weirdest relationship with food. I'm trying to be reasonably healthy because I still have about 15ish pounds of baby weight from the last kiddo that I haven't lost, and I don't want to gain another 40 pounds on top of that. But damn, I actually threw away a half eaten salad the other day because I just couldn't stomach it. Then the same thing with dinner, about halfway through I just didn't want anything on my plate. The only things that really sound good to me are ice cream and potato chips. I might have to scratch the itch today.
I haven't had much in the way of cravings or aversions. I miss my morning coffees more than anything but give in and allow myself a small cup or decaf on occasion. My doctor has recommended a high iron diet for me So I have been trying to include more iron rich meats or greens and fruits or veggies with high vitamin c.
I am literally checking to see what time chipotle opens. You all having me craving Mexican! And I live in New England so sadly we don’t have the real thing around here!
I cannot get enough Mexican food. I suckered my coworkers into it today for lunch, had it last night for dinner, was psyched when my husband suggested it for dinner the other night, and am now looking forward to my leftover spicy queso from lunch today. I never had any cravings with my daughter, mostly just aversions. At 6 weeks with her I had to force feed myself bc nothing sounded appetizing, and it had to be bland (think plain bagel with butter and mac and cheese). This pregnancy has been SO different so far.
After weeks of coffee/tea aversion and the accompanying daily caffeine headaches, I made a latte this afternoon and it was GLORIOUS! And my head isn’t throbbing at 4pm. I am doing a happy caffeine dance!
I have been craving all the things I cannot have. This morning I wanted bagel and lox and DH and I literally discussed the pros/cons. Now I want sushi for dinner. Last night at the party we were at someone walked by with whiskey and it smelled uh-mazing! I wish I could go wine and whiskey tasting with this super sniffer.

All I'm craving is avocados, I practically eat avocado with every meal now. If not them, it's boiled eggs and pimento cheese. Seems though mainly buttery / creamy texture type foods.

We went out on Friday to outback and ever since I have been craving their Alice springs quesadilla. I made it a point to go out tonight to get another one & a salad hahaha! The struggle is very real. It was probably the most satisfying thing ever.
It seems that my cravings and food aversions come and go pretty quickly— to the point where I wonder if they are cravings at all. Last night I really wanted one of those port wine cheese balls and crackers. I settled for an apricot and a string cheese. My biggest aversion has been eating leftovers, which is really annoying because who has the energy to cook every night? But I’m never in the mood for whatever I’ve eaten the day before. I work for the schools and my return date is August 2nd (crying) so I’m going to have to figure out food to pack during the day...
@sulsulpoppyseed same! I head back on Aug 8 and I have no idea what I’m going to pack! With basically nothing sounding good I’m thinking I’m pretty much screwed! Right now I’m thinking it’ll just be bagels, granola bars, trail mix, and other snacky type stuff. Unfortunately carbs are all I can stomach right now.
