  • Puked for the first time today. I took the garbage out and the smell made me gag so bad. Otherwise, still no energy and not much appetite. And going on yeast infection 4. Woooh.

@cali1710 That is unlucky and does not sound comfortable you poor thing :( Whenever I see a yeasty beasty mentioned, it reminds me of that blogger who made sourdough bread using her lady-yeast.

Still on my 2 week streak of puking up the first glass of water every day. And have reverted to my old habits of binge-watching The Bachelor/ette if that counts as a symptom??

  • @febmum literally threw up in my mouth when I read that! Eww wtf!! I don’t normally get them but my dr said pregnant with twins means double hormones which is causing them. Hoping they will also disappear in the second tri.
  • My stomach has been on fire the past few days and I am nervous not to be around a bathroom. All food except spicy food, edamame, and PB&J are the only things I could stomach. I think I am going to have to lay off the spicy food, but that leaves me with hardly anything that looks appetizing right now.
  • I thought I was feeling OK for the most part, nausea really only first thing in the morning. Then this week this all day nausea started. I’m nibbling on saltines all day to try and keep myself from getting sick. That mess can end any time now.

Also, the bloat is insane. I’m just 9 weeks and everything is already fitting tighter. I think I maybe have 2 pairs of maternity jeans saved, and I’ll be breaking those out very soon.
  • Left work early today. High humidity and pregnancy are a bad combo. Have not been able to eat since breakfast.
  • These headaches are killing me. I’m chugging water and Gatorade and taking Tylenol every night. I’ve never had headaches like this in my life. I had one or two when I was pregnant with DS but this is every night like clockwork I’m knocked on my back. Damn you hormones
  • I have waking up with migraines, can't bend down or take a hot shower without feeling dizzy, and all food except light junk food sounds good to me
  • I meant to say only light junk food sounds good! Lol Everything else grosses me out! Damn food aversions
  • @BourbonBiscuits headaches have been awful the past week for me too! Today has been horrible! I didn’t think I was going to make it through the end of work. I normally get headaches often but I take ibuprofen and they go away pretty quick and it is so hard not to be able to do that
  • @BourbonBiscuits and @shimmy92 I am right there wth you in the headache sufferers club.  Also feeling dizzy and can’t bend over...super fun.

  • The nausea is really getting me this time around.  And just a general tiredness/ugh feeling.  Standing takes so.much.effort.  I've been a really awesome mom this week with the amount of TV time DS has been getting.

My kids get so much TV on the weekends right now. I cared at first, but by the time I was forced to carry around a puke bucket/bag, I gave up caring. It’s all about survival this summer.

I’m having heart palpitations again - this happened with DD too. Really looking forward to having a full heart work up while KU.

    Stuck in the box!
I had this with dd1 and 2. I had to wear a monitor for a few days with dd1 because the palpations were so bad. This time I still have them, but they don't hurt or anything so I haven't gone in. I hope you get some answers and it's just another horrible side effect of hg!

  • I have this thing called hyperemesis gravidarium. I was hospitalized for a week because I was severely dehydrated. They released me after pumping me with IV and meds for a week, but now I’m on 5 different pills just to keep food and liquids down. Even with these pills, I’m still vomiting and experiencing nausea. I’ve started acupuncture because I was told it helps. I pray it does. Morale is not high right now.
I have HG with every pregnancy. Solidarity. I know how isolating it can feel. <3

  • @AshleySparkle720 - I started getting them with my first and had a monitor too. The concern for me is that I likely have a rare genetic heart condition that my dad has that doesn’t usually present until your 30s and pregnancy can cause it to come on sooner. His wasn’t that severe which is promising for me, but it’s still scary AF. I have to go in every two years for monitoring now unless my symptoms kick up.

  • As a former stylist I know about all sorts of side effects pregnancy can have on ones hair, but a new one for me is I am sprouting a shit ton of new grey hairs. I already had some but there’s about ten new ones just in one spot. Guess this kid wants to test how serious I am about embracing my tinsel.

I hear you on all accounts. If it weren’t for the Diclegis, I’d be an absolute disaster. That being said, Netflix is my kids babysitter most days after 2 pm. Survival!

Hi! 11 weeks yesterday, been fighting all day nausea, constipation, exhaustion. The nausea has really amped up in the last 6 days, been so much more intense, it's hard to keep my sickness under wraps at work! I also woke up with some lovely sciatica pain this morning.

I bought some little mints and that seems to help with the Nausea, but hopefully there is some relief coming at the end of this trimester!
  • The migraines are really getting to my head and I'm starting to get emotional about it.  Has anyone taken Maxalt while pregnant? Tylenol is total garbage and I know Maxalt works...
  • @conchispita I’ve only taken Tylenol, but solidarity with the migraines. I have to lay in complete darkness with a fan on my face for it to go away. Not the easiest thing with an 18 month old running around ...

needless to say, we’re watching a lot of curious George and trolls.
  • @conchispita - I take Maxalt for my migraines but don’t take it at all in first tri. I’ve had two migraines without it and wanted to die. Another reason to get into 2nd tri fast.

Same here! I hit 11 weeks tomorrow and it feels like the nausea and exhaustion are both suddenly worse. They definitely go hand in hand for me: the more tired I feel, the more nauseated I feel.
My house looks like a tornado hit it. It's been cereal or takeout for most dinners the last two weeks. I'm starting to miss my own cooking... lol

Oh my god @BourbonBiscuits that is adorable!!! I haven’t even allowed myself to look at tiny baby clothes yet, they’re just too cute and I’ll cry for sure.

  • @grebretso I keep texting pictures to my husband and mom because I’m sobbing lol. We were geniuses and saved a few newborn diapers. WOWZERS they’re tiny. Granted they only fit DS for like a week because he was gigantic, but it’s still getting me right in the heart
  • @kayjay44 called my dr and they called in a different prescription, thank goodness for modern medicine. Here’s hoping it’s as effective as Maxalt...
@BourbonBiscuits I don’t know how you do it with a LO around, I need silence and darkness when the migraines strike. those newborn clothes have me feeling all the feels, I forgot how little they are!

I was at the midwife yesterday and there were 2 little babes less than 6 weeks old in for their check up, got me a little teary eyed.. SO little, "omg this is what I am doing"!!  First little babes I've seen since being preggo. :*:*
  • @BourbonBiscuits that is just too adorable!! It’s dangerous looking at their old baby clothes.  Even when not pregnant I get all weepy over how little DD used to be.

My husband did this app called one second everyday where we took a one second video everyday of DD’s life for the first year. Then at the end of the year we played it at her 1st bday. The transformation is both amazing and tear jerking! I highly recommend the app though. We may make one for the second year as well.

Also want to say I’m glad I’m not the only one having to resort to a lot of TV babysitting.

@allthingsgo That is brilliant! Definitely telling my husband about that app, he’s a sucker for stuff like that. He’s taken a picture of himself every week for 13 years now, so I know he can keep up with it.

  • You guys. The diarrhea is back. It’s like a weekly thing now for me to be confined to the bathroom. I’d really appreciate just ONE normal bowel movement instead of bouncing between constipation and violent diarrhea. Just one.
  • If I could stop pooping like a rabbit, that would be great.
