  • I'm not feeling like doing actual work this morning so I'll start this one off! haha
    How far along are you?
    How are you feeling?
18 weeks today. I feel good overall, my week long migraine has finally subsided. I do have some slight pain/uncomfortable feelings in my pelvis when I stand up after sitting at my desk for too long but nothing terrible.
    Any appointment updates?
    My A/S is on Monday!
    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I went to the movies with my cousins last night and am paying for it at work this morning. We saw Mamma Mia 2 and it was great. Not as good as the first which is one of my favorite movies but if you like feel-good cheesy musicals, definitely check it out!
GTKY: Have you ever met anyone famous (or famous to you)?
I've met a few famous singers/bands through meet and greets, Luke Bryan being my favorite. The only famous person I've met randomly without a "set up" like a meet and great was Johnny Bench, a former MLB catcher and Hall of Famer. We were shopping in the Cincinnati Reds team store and he asked my aunt if he could help her find anything like he was a store employee. She had no clue who he was and we all still tease her about it.

  • @lippy625 Ha!  I have so much work to do, but it's hard getting started in the morning!

How far along are you? How are you feeling? 18w6d.  I feel pretty good overall.  Round ligament pain is annoying and I do feel a bit huge for ~19w, but overall I can't complain!

Any appointment updates?  Ultrasound today to check my SCH and then Aug 3 is my A/S!  I've already seen him a ton due to the SCH, but I'm excited for the full scan to check everything out.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Last week I volunteered at VBS and it was exhausting!  So much fun, but I'm still playing catch up.  I only work 4 days a week, but did that all 5 days, so it almost felt harder, even though it was only 1/2 the day each day.

GTKY: Have you ever met anyone famous (or famous to you)? Nope!
  • How far along are you? How are you feeling? 18+1.  Feeling good. Some pains (maybe RLP?) and slight dull achy cramping in my lower abdomen. Some headaches. Some exhaustion. But overall, not bad.

Any appointment updates?  Ugh.  Nothing until my anatomy scan on August 6th. I will be exactly 20 weeks.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?  Things are getting harder. We tried to move a few things to the new house and I was completely useless. I tried, but every time I lifted something I got a sharp shooting pain, so I took it as a cue to back off. I felt so bad I couldn't help SO at all, and I could tell he was frustrated.  I'm a helpless lump already!!!  And yesterday at work I struggled to get up after sitting on the floor with one of my clients. It was embarrassing. I was grunting like a farm animal :(

GTKY: Have you ever met anyone famous (or famous to you)?  Haven't actually met anyone famous.  A couple years ago while vacationing in Puerto Rico, we learned that Keanu Reeves was staying at our hotel, on our floor (we got upgraded to a luxury suite after our original room flooded....). Never met or even saw him, though.

18+5 today. Feeling okay. Got my first cold in 2 years and it's wiped me out. In addition to that, I had terrible gas pains yesterday but they seem to have subsided today. I have no clue what that could have been from because my eating hasn't changed... maybe the terrible coughing screwed up my insides? Ha. Other than that, some RLPs, fatigue, and that's about it! Oh, I've also been feeling super emotional today. I've already burst into tears twice and it's only 10 AM, and I feel like I could at any moment for no reason. Ugh!

    Any appointment updates?
Have my A/S on Tuesday next week, I can't wait!

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I have sooooo much work this week with a big event next Tuesday that I can hardly figure out what to prioritize and how to get it all done. Having a cold this week is definitely not good timing.

I used to work for a couple different performing arts organizations, in box office, front of house and fundraising. So, I had plenty of opportunities to meet artists when I was overseeing meet and greets and keeping people from trying to sneak back stage or onto stage. Josh Turner once winked at me when I was keeping a fan away from him during a show, but I didn't actually get to meet him. I've met Jeff Bridges, lots of famous jazz musicians, Norah Jones, Little Big Town, famous classical musicians, and so on. They're just normal people and most are super down to earth and cool. Oh, Garrison Keillor is the coolest guy. Ha. OH, and Chris Thile has the most amazing cologne. I have no clue what it was, but all of us who met him at this arts organization couldn't stop talking about it.

  • Fun new symptom:  after sitting/ laying on my back propped up with my snoogle and getting up, I just felt super lightheaded and dizzy. Guess I will for real have to avoid being on my back from now on.  I didn't realize how suddenly this could affect me. I was fine yesterday.

18w+4d. Feeling better, got some energy back and I think the nausea is gone as long as I eat
    regularly.

    Any appointment updates?

Nope - next appointment’s not till next Thursday (AS).  SO glad I won’t have to hide the gender from DH after that.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

We were a little shaken by news we got this weekend about friends (who moved away) who are finally expecting their second (after secondary infertility - *TW* 3 losses after their son).  They are temporarily relocating to deliver at the top pediatric cardiology hospital because their 22 week scan showed that heart surgeries will likely be required and baby may missing his spleen?  They’re doing everything they can and are set up for really good care, but it’s a crappy situation.  We just this morning scheduled our own 22 week fetal echo (IVF baby).  Trying not to worry about our own little one since there’s no reason to while we wait for information, but it does seem like it’s always something (PGAL brain).  But we’ll have our babymoon to distract us before then.

GTKY: Have you ever met anyone famous (or famous to you)?

Not of which I can think.  Which itself is almost a little impressive considering I’ve lived in Los Angeles (or Westside cities surrounded by Los Angeles) for a couple of decades.  I’m pretty oblivious - don’t really watch TV and rarely watch movies, so that doesn’t help.  I’ve seen random people at restaurants, saw Harrison Ford years ago at the Baja Fresh in Brentwood (I learned to fly out of Santa Monica airport but have never seen him there), had class with an Olympic swimmer in undergrad...  So no.

How far along are you? How are you feeling? 18w6d  I feel alright for the most part. Already feeling huge :/@snugglyduckling25 We must have the same due date :) December 19th

Any appointment updates?  Anatomy Scan on August 6th, I can not wait to make sure everything is okay and to find out what this baby is. @scaredunprepared We are going the same day!

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? I don't really have anything today, just the typical being annoyed by my employees at work. :|

GTKY: Have you ever met anyone famous (or famous to you)? I don't think I have. I have had some people come in that deal with props for big movies come into our store. They were filming a movie in our hometown and was needing authentic old military looking stuff for this cave in the movie. These guys came in all the time, and use to tell us to come check out while they filmed. Michael Douglas was in the film... we never went and watched though.
I have met the last living original "Navajo Code Talker". That was pretty neat.

  • @dreamalways yay for our appointment date! We'll be finding out what baby is that day as well, or perhaps if we are patient, the next day since our plan was to get a mini cake and do a gender reveal just the two of us. But I don't think we'll be able to wait!
  • @artemis618 good luck with your echo! I’m sorry about your friend. Try not to worry, but I know that’s easier said than done.

@dreamalways yay! A due date twin!

I had my appointment today and since I was within the timeframe for an A/S they just did it today. Baby is looking great, growing on track and hematoma is staying stable! So, I’m going to finally get on a normal appointment schedule and only one more ultrasound at 26 weeks to check on the SCH unless something else comes up. I’m finally feeling like I can breathe!
