I am re-reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I am also reading The King's Curse by Philippa Gregory. I love historical fiction; she and Christi Phillips are my favourite.
The Invention of Wings - Sue Monk Kidd: A story about slavery & Quakers, based on true events. Easier read but great story. The Sympathizer - Viet Thanh Nguyen: Vietnam War/undercover agents, etc. Somewhat rough & edgy, but good! Panchinko - Min Jin Lee: A story detailing a family though the separation of Korea, etc. Beautifully written Circe - Madeline Miller (Favorite out of the 4) Circe's point of view of the Odyssey & more. If you have an interest in Greek mythology, it is a MUST!
I just stared 2nd Chance-Woman’s Murder Club series by James Patterson. Recently finished Kind Is The New Classy by Candace Cameron Bure, and Wedding Night by Sophia Kinsella. Waiting on Jurassic Park to come off hold, I didn’t know this was a book until I heard that on a PodCast.
I'm currently reading The Alchemyst by Michael Scott (not to get confused with The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho). It's about Nicholas Flamel (the tie to HP is what made me first want to read it). So far it is sooo good! I also bought the Alice Network for TB book club but haven't started reading it yet.

@MRDCle hmmm... my only two memoirs left to recommend are Hillbilly Elegy (great for mid-westerners) and When Breath Becomes Air - which is a memoir from a surgeon who was dying from cancer. Hard to read but worth it.
@MRDCle I just recently started reading her when I needed a break from my usual choice of intense murder or general mystery. The Wedding Night was okay a little to bizarre TBH but My Not So Perfect Life was great
Does TTC/Bump/BMBs posts count as reading material? LOL!! I'm not reading anything ATM, but I did charge my kindle last week and wanted to re-read The Cukoo's Calling from Robert Galbraith/JK Rowling. He/She has a new one coming out soon, so I'll prolly get that one - Lethal White.
@MRDCle I really liked Crazy Rich Asians. It is the reason why I had a Flat White when traveling in NZ/Australia and now when I want coffee I order that (which is pretty much never). There's a movie coming out in a couple weeks and a second book (which I have not read - maybe I should download that...).
Can I list the books I've started but have yet to finish?
The Goldfinch - got deleted off my iPad somehow but the first half was amazing. Crazy Rich Asians - I'd like to finish this before I see the movie The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo - Amy Schumer's book. Hilarious, this'll be my cottage read this summer
I also started What to Expect Before You're Expecting earlier this year but was bored because I learned so much more from TB and all you wonderful ladies than I ever did from that book.
@lilly91613 - you took the words right out of my mouth. With the move I haven't had any time to read lately. I'm taking a wealth management course for my licensing so between painting/unpacking/cleaning and studying, there's no time left for leisure reading.

@lilly91613 the second book was okay... much more of a soap opera/jumping the shark though! @nomangos23 i know! it was like my answer to a needed replacement for "All the Light We Cannot See"
@chichiphin Hmm. I'll prolly pass on that then. I'm not a fan of jumping the shark stuff. It's the reason why I strongly dislike the third Hunger Games book (Mockingjay) - the ending didn't "fit" IMO. Loved all the other books, though!
I just finished reading The Alice Network, it was a really great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've also been slowly working my way through The White Queen by Philippa Gregory. I had already seen the series on Starz and a friend gave me the book as a gift.

Right now I’m reading Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik. She
also wrote a book called Uprooted which is one of my favorite books.
Other books I’ve finished in the last couple weeks:
Sing, Unburied, Sing written by Jesmyn Ward – Beautifully written, really deep
and meaningful.
Us Against You (sequel to Beartown) written by Fredrick Backman – If you haven’t read Beartown or the
sequel, I highly recommend. Both of these books were amazing.
Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows written by Balli Kaur
Jaswal – This was such a fun read. It was very unique and I also found it really interesting to read about the
Punjabi culture.
@chipchiphin I absolutely adored Circe! Have you read The
Song of Achilles yet? It’s hard for me to choose which one I liked more.
Panchinko is on my to-read list.

I'm currently reading books by Jill Mansell. They're basically chick flick books with good story lines and plot twists, it's hard to put them down! I've read "The one you really want" (my favorite so far) and "An offer you can't refuse." I started reading "Solo" and I'm currently reading "Nadia knows best." I would highly recommend her books! I've literally laughed out loud several times while reading her books.
