    I would love a heads up if anyone sees the sneak peak test go on sale for father's day or whatever.  I found out my insurance doesn't cover genetic testing and I'd love to possibly find out the sex early.

    Sometimes around April, Target does a car seat trade in event. If you have older kids or want to trade your baby bucket in, they give you a 20% coupon toward the purchase of a new seat. 

    Signing up for registries will get you free samples. Samples are great for newbies until you figure out what works best for you and babe.

    @galactickates it was on sale for Mother's Day so I bet it will be for Father's Day. Or at least should be! 

    @ladystout08 i believe target does the trade in twice a year. I think there's one in Sept. / Oct.

    @kaf1788 I wouldn't buy too many clothes especially if you are having baby showers.  I got SO many clothes for DD1 as gifts.  There were certain things- long sleeve onesies that I did have to buy after she was born.  Everyone loves giving cute baby clothes in the NB, 0-3, 3-6 month sizes.  After that you'll probably have to start buying more.  Just my two cents.

    Has anyone had random deliveries of formula samples sent to them? We haven't told anyone or signed up for anything except the Amazon registry. The packages have come in both of our names. Anyone else have this happen to them? Is that an Amazon thing?

    @galactickates not this pregnancy, but my previous 2, yes. I haven't started at looking at things online yet, but I'm sure as soon as I do they will start showing up. I don't think it's just an Amazon thing. Last pregnancy I even had them show up to my address with strangers names. So strange.

    @galactickates yes! I think it has to do more with your doctor/insurance finding out your pregnant. I started getting them pretty soon after my first appointment. 

    On a another note. Target has a special right now, spend $75 in the baby department and get a $15 gift card. You just need to download the target app. Good sunday through 6/16. They have promotions like this all the time if you have the app.

    @gorgeousariel what was the problem? If you don’t mind me asking.  I will probably just wait and pay for an ultrasound ASAP that way I can check on things again anyway! If I’m paying I’d rather be able to see the baby again! Plus when doing research I’ve read that the tests can be unreliable and I’d rather know for sure!

    @LCRbelle when I did mine, my finger wouldn't bleed. I only got 1 drop of blood out so not enough for a sample. They are sending me a replacement kit to do it again but I decided to go to the local 4d ultrasound place and have them draw blood instead. After I received the email saying the replacement was shipped, customer service got back to me and said they would refund my money. So now I don't know if they will want me to send back the replacement kit since they are issuing a refund.

    just went to go check this out and the sale is over  :( BUT they are running an extra 50% off the clearance items with the code EXTRAEXTRA and I got some cute dresses!

    The Nordstrom Anniversary sale has some incredible deals, especially on some of the bigger ticket baby items. It looks like they have all of the baby jogger strollers on sale, as well as some bugaboo, nuna pipa and maxi-cosi. It's early access for cardholders only for the next week, but I think it might be worth opening up a card if you were planning on buying something offered in the sale. I assume they probably have maternity clothes on sale as well but I haven't gotten that far yet.

    Currently 25% off water wipes on amazon. Similar deal on babyganics wipes.

    prime day Day doesn’t officially start until 3pm but some deals have already started. 

    Sample Sale Mom is a great group on FB for getting deals on kid and baby stuff. She is posting baby/kid related prime deals all day today, but it’s not just amazon prime deals. A friend of mine recently got a car seat for her daughter at 50% off.

    eta: the amazon app is better for finding deals than the website. You can view all upcoming deals or choose “shop by department” in the drop down menu and it will show you the upcoming deals for that department and their posting times. If you think I’m good, you should see my mom and aunt! Lol

    6:45 for the babysense monitor

    there are a few others that just posted that will be available around 7pm and this double stroller will be a deal at 3:59

    Yikes! I can definitely understand not wanting WiFi @cait32! There are other monitors that will be prime deals which aren’t WiFi enabled. The babysense one I posted does not use WiFi. 

    For FTMs, there are a few backpack style diaper bags that will be posting as deals later today.

    I haven't tried the sheets, just the clothes, but $10 is probably worth it to try out the sheets.  DS has some of the pocket shirts, basic shirts, basic shorts, and a tank romper. The quality is amazing. I've washed the clothes many times, and they keep their colors and don't pill.
