I'm reposting this from the randoms thread because it makes me giggle every time. (I also enjoy the drop shadow on the photo, because it looks like they're just hovering.)
@mamabearcj I JUST introduced ODD to Rugrats tonight when we watched the Rugrats movie. I am absolutely delighted by that costume choice!

It is actually listed as a photo prop rather than a costume, but (a) it will work over clothes that baby is already comfortable in and (b) super cheap.
The plan is to have G as a dragon and SS as Hiccup from How to Train a Dragon. Although, I don't plan on taking G out to trick or treat as he might only be 2 weeks and it gets cold in MI for Halloween.
@Lisa3379 I still have pictures of my little brother in his first pea pod costume. He's 19 now. All the feeeeels. @sammierose464 I love How to Train Your Dragon! That's an adorable idea.

I was going to have Squish as R2D2 and my son was going to be a stormtrooper but now he’s saying Batman, so I’ll probably try to find a Robin costume and a Batgirl costume for E. Or maybe she’ll just be Moana (her favorite).
Oh man, I probably will do nothing. Last year I spent HOURS sewing my dogs' halloween costumes (ewok hood and a chewy bandolier), and NO ONE came to the door. Granted, it was raining, and the Astros were playing Game 6 of the World Series, so I'm sure no one in the H-town area was out. This is why I don't bother lol.
I wanted to do a dragon for Z, but H got all excited over a firefighter costume and I caved. Debating whether or not to use the same costume for #3 or finally buy the dragon costume!
The girls haven’t told me what they want to be yet, so this may change if I have the opportunity for an adorable whole-family costume, but currently my plan is to wear my TB12 jersey and make Isaac a little football costume. H is going to walk the girls around while I stay home with baby, since he’ll probably only be a week-ish old.
DD will be an owl (hand me down costume) and LO will just have a Halloween onesie or playsuit. I’m totally taking the lazy route this year and I’m okay with it.
Last year DD was a rhino and it was freaking adorable! I would love to find a family costume, but don’t know if we’ll be going out much. DD will be two so it’s not like we’d need to go to many houses. Maybe Dispicable Me since DH is bald, that would be hilarious!
I need to figure out something, but since I'm due on the 26th and am assuming I'll be late, it's probably going to be very basic. DS wants to be a train again this year, and DD is going to be Minnie Mouse - girl is in love with Minnie.
Edited because I found this and am pretty much in love.
Oh, I don't know! We have been trying to think of fun family costumes. Right now, everyone is leaning towards The Incredibles... everyone, that is, except Mama, who will be 3 weeks PP and has no desire to get into an Elastigirl costume.
My favorite ever was my daughter's first Halloween costume - she was almost 6 months at the time. But it was obscenely adorable if anyone needs some inspiration Rosie the Riveter!

I've got two boys who were not going to let Halloween go by without trick-or-treating. We went in the rain (sprinkling) and it was sad when lots of people turned off their lights because they didn't want to be bothered during the game! There were some great ones out there though - had their tent canopy outside sitting in lawn chairs handing out candy!
Boy #3 for me...I've got two Incredibles lovers so we'll probably have a baby Jack-Jack. Another option is a baby superhero if my older boys go for Hulk & Spiderman. If nothing else a baby pumpkin.
I’m thinking of dressing baby up like a Lorax and going as a tree myself. But H really wants to do this elaborate total recall costume with baby. We will see if he has the energy for that when the time comes.
DF is taking ODD trick-or-treating this year and since I plan on being induced long before I hit 42 weeks (which is the night of Halloween), it's a safe bet that lil' monster will be Earth side by then. DF really wants to take her out with them and I'm totally fine with that as long as she stays appropriately warm. But me? I'm keeping my postpartum booty home and binging on lasagna.

I'm planning to just put LO in one of those little zip up hooded sleepers with the ears. I have one from DD that I know of, but I think it's a 0-3 month so I'm not sure if it will fit or not. I really want that dragon one that's on Amazon, but I can't find a newborn one. I'm guessing we will just be staying home this year, so as of now I'm not planning to go all out on a costume. That might change if I find a used one for a good price though.

DH has decided that we should dress baby as Batgirl.
Im due on the 27th and my hospital requires you stay for 48 hours after birth so it’s very likely I won’t even be home this year.
I was joking that we should dress DS and LO up as Pebbles and Bam Bam. DS walks around saying bam bam all day and its definitely fitting for him! Lol
I'm due the 17th so I'm not counting on any halloween fun timez. If baby is somehow early or on time, mayyyyybe I'll get a fun hat
