I like to read, to run, and to cook. My daughter loves to help me in the kitchen, and one of my favorite things is when we bake together. She loves to make pancakes and banana bread ♥️
I like to knit in the evenings while watching TV, garden (although I currently don't have a place to. I'm working on that), and go to the beach. I also like camping and being outdoors, but DH hates it so we don't get to do that as often as I'd like.

We have a small farm, so most of my hobbies revolve around our country life: gardening, bird watching, cooking, canning, fishing, and hiking. When I’m stuck inside-reading (fantasy mostly) and Hulu!! I love me some TV! I didn’t have it for years and now it’s like I have to catch up on everything I missed.

I love to travel whenever I get the chance. Cooking is another big one for me but between bad anxiety and not feeling great that has been pushed to the side lately. My kids love to help cook so I love sharing that passion with them. We live really close to Lake MI so anything water related is big around here. Also wine nights with friends.

I read, color, pin stuff on Pinterest that I’ll never make or do, and in the winter I knit blankets or scarves because that’s all I know how to make lol
@mschanandlerbong1214 have you ever tried knitting in the round/double pointed needles? I find it much easier to do because you aren't constantly switching from one side of the fabric to the other (if doing stockinette). It's pretty easy and I could walk you through it if you want. It opens up a huge range of things you can make.

I like to read, sew and cross stitch. I sew some of our clothes (mine, daughter's, H's) and then other stuff like a nursing cover for myself and an apron. H and I have had a garden before, and we enjoy doing that. Also, lots of stuff related to subsistence/hunting and putting up our own food. Processing meat, making sausage, drying, smoking, canning, preserving, etc.
We like to eat out and try new restaurants, but that's gone way down now that we have a baby. We like to travel but don't get to do much of that. We like museums and doing cultural stuff like music and theater performances. Some good ones coming up this season in our area!
I like to read and be outside. I have a husky who joins me on my outdoor adventures when it's not too hot. Since she's a working dog, I will hook her harness up to the stroller so she can put her energy to use helping me out up hills; don't worry, I steer, haha. I used to make my own jewelry, but that involves a lot of little pieces, aka choking hazards, so I haven't done that in a while. I also like to crochet, and will bust out the sewing machine when inspired.
I love fiber arts (knitting, spinning and dyeing). I want to start hiking too, I just need to get over my bug fear. Anytime I get a simple mosquito bite, it swells to the size of a baseball, so bugs can f right off lol.
I like to read although I've done a lot less of that lately. I was unstoppable alwhen I was younger but now it's harder to find time. DH and I like watching movies and playing video games together. We used to play a lot of board games but as our friend group started having kids it became a lot harder to coordinate game nights. Hopefully in a few years we can get the kids involved in that!
Reading all the time. also I quilt (or I will again once we get moved into the new house and I get my sewing room set up). can't wait to get crafting again and actually have space to do it!
I read when I get a chance but my life typically revolves around training for races in my free time. I participate in two run camps a year with only a few months “off”. At home I love to garden, cook, and bake! I could pull weeds all day!!
I have 4 German Shepherds that I train and work as often as possible. Protection work mostly but also general obedience and service/therapy dog work as well. Love my fur babies!
I like the to read and cross stitch (this is my main one) and boyfriend and I love to eat good food and go to the movies. We also like to go to pick n pull (local junk yard) and find parts for his truck and work on the truck together.
Loving all the outdoor mamas in this group! I also enjoy camping, fly fishing, and gardening.
@mschanandlerbong1214 I also like to color! DH and I always have massive coloring contests with MiL, SILs, and niece. We all color the same picture and then post them on Facebook to see who gets the most votes.
I love to color, scrapbook (but that’s actually getting harder with digital pictures and I haven’t gotten into doing them all digitally yet), making classroom curriculum, organization, taking walks, swimming, and traveling. I also used to be huge into couponing but we got so many things and have just finished using them. I need to get into them again.
I’m not sure if this is a hobby but it has greatly changed the way we do our hobbies but DH and I have paid off all our debt. We both had car debt and school debt when we got married. We worked hard for about 3-4 years and paid off every last dime. I only say this because that took over a lot of our traveling/extra money for hobbies. Now that it’s all paid off we are working to save cash to buy a bigger car and eventually a down payment for a home.
@ashley14598 Paying off all your debt is amazing! We just paid off my car so our only debt right now is the mortgage. We've been very lucky to not have much debt to start with but it really feels good to not have anything over our heads, so we try to save up for any big purchases.
Running after my DD is my hobby! Pre-toddler faze, I read a lot. DH and I love to be outside - we like to hike, bike, bird-watch, go camping, etc. and the little miss joins us on those adventures. I love to do art, but don't often have time (or space) to really get into it, however this summer I bought some sidewalk chalk "for DD" and have found a new creative outlet. Lol. We're also big Disney fans (don't judge) and the numbers are our countdown to vacation.
DH and I both love traveling. We've been doing less of out now that we have our DS, but we still get away occasionally. We just spent a few days in the White Mountains in NH and it was so nice. We hiked, laid by the pool, and walked around town.
I also love reading (when I find the time) and generally just doing anything outside. I'm also a pretty avid runner. I ran competitively in high school and college and continued to run road races after. Unfortunately, the nausea has put a stop on that for the time being.
Does collecting hobbies count as a hobby? I have a (well neglected) garden, a kayak (last used in 2014), several sizes of knitting needles (projects cast on around 2011), disc golf putter and drivers, 20+ ultimate discs, ultimate/soccer cleats, volleyballs and nets, a piano, guitar, dulcimer, and ukulele, a half finished quilt, lots of fiber arts deleterious bits of flotsam and beads, and shelves full of books and boardgames.
@thedaint87 , I have a regular Thursday night group I game with, what type of games do you play?
@diann21 , I have fallen in love with chalk as a medium, I just got some chalk spray paint to play with on the grass/driveway, but I've never used it before.
Eta: oh, I forgot, I'm also a pretty big sports fan, so I live for labor day (college football!) through Easter (final four). I'm pretty excited about vegging on the couch and watching games all pregnancy, and then spending the fourth trimester napping to baseball.
@sejica our craft supplies sound similar. I haven't bought yarn in years and I could still probably knit hats for a small country. Any my husband has a habit of collecting (and discarding) expensive hobbies. Watches, classic cars, kayaking, camping, at one time he was doing hang glider lessons...

I love reading and following True Crime stories, creating educational materials, and my most dorky hobby of all is couponing!
