Just to give another option, I had the best luck with a combo of massage and physical therapy. Turns out the muscles in my shoulders forgot how to engage correctly, so I was carrying all the tension/work in a couple. Who knew?
Glad physical therapy helped with that. A functional neurologist can also help if the issue comes back. They basically work to fix the underlying issue that makes the muscles not engage properly. MH found one after years (like 15-20 years) of back pain from breaking his back playing hockey. He has been pain free for a couple years after completing treatment.
@knottieamusements I always hated when I would be doing something not work related that made me tear up and a coworker would wander over. Dang it how am I supposed to explain when I am all red eyed/tears??? My paperwork is bringing out my emotional side? Guess I could have said it was too much work and was overwhelming me, but I didn't like to do that when I was in an office as I don't remember ever really having that much work lol
