I have a k’tan breeze, which was nice in the summer because it didn’t get as hot. I loved it and used it until DD was aound six months. It took a few tries to figure it out but then was easy to throw on. I loved that it folds itself roghbjbto a bag and easily fit in the diaper bag.
I also used a mei tei for a little bit after the k’tan and didn’t like it as much.
This is time around I plan on using my k’tan in the beginning but then switching to a lillebaby. I had back surgery a year ago and like that the lillebaby has extra lumbar support
@treeofcheem Thanks! I think I’m leaning towards a Solly as well because it’s not so expensive. I used my Lille all seasons with DS last summer and it was soooo hot. I missed out a lot on baby wearing because he is a sweaty hot kid to begin with. I figure I can start with the Solly (we regularly hit 80 in September) and switch to the Moby when it gets more chilly. I’m not ruling out a RS but I think I’m in the minority who think they are rather ugly, and the idea of a wrap seems more appealing to me.
@NinnyJean That's my exact story pretty much, lol. My husband used the Mei-tei, because I didn't let him use my Lille because I hated to adjust all the buckles. The active k'tan is awesome with tinies.
@Wishilivedinflorida I have the Lille Baby Complete airflow, which is slightly cheaper, and much much cooler. We still use our year round-and my son is super sweaty too! It of course was much better when he was old enough to do a back carry, much cooler.

Love this! I loved baby wearing, it made getting things done, travel and even walking my dog so easy until my DS was about two years old.
Favorite [baby carrier brand]:Ergo. I haven't tried any others or the 360 types, but I'm still not a fan of forward facing carriers despite all the improvements they've made in recent years. It was easy to get him in my back so he could look over my shoulder (and play with my hair!) I didn't start using it until he was about 6 months old so I never needed an infant insert, but I plan on using mine immediately after this one arrives! I also have a wool natibaby woven wrap that I adored as well and was a bit more comfortable as my son got bigger! Once it was broken in it was so easy to get him situated and get a tight wrap.
Cost (either actual dollar amount, or just $, $$, $$$, etc.): Ergo $130~, I found a gently used one for $60. Natibaby $150 new, I found mine brand new locally for $120!
What you like about it: Ergo is so easy to clean! and it super easy to fold up and keep in the diaper bag. Natibaby was great for when my DS got bigger and it kept us warm during our winter walks.
What you don't like about it, if anything: The Natibaby I have is wool, and didn't work well during the summer.
Is there a [baby carrier] you don't have but are considering? Why?: I'd like to try a cotton woven so we have a good one for summer time.
Is there a [baby carrier] you've tried that you absolutely hate? Why?: I have a kangaroo type sling that I didn't like. I could never get DS positioned right and it caused a lot of shoulder pain. My sister however really liked it for my nephew.
Additional thoughts on [baby carrier]?: Not really, other than I'm looking forward to trying some different ones once little babe arrives and encouraging my boyfriend to try out babywearing!
Y'all, I got fluffy mail for the first time in like...2 years. It's a Gold-Rubin Prima from Didymos. 50/50 linen and very thin. Popped DD up in a sloppy double hammock (damn I need to practice) and it was so comfortable.
Have I mentioned how flipping excited I am to get to do this again?
These beautiful handwoven wraps just came in the mail today! I’ve been practicing different carries with DD’s stuffed owl friend. Can’t wait to wear this baby!

@pourmeamocktail I really like that one! What kind is it? Also your kid is adorable!
Thanks, he's a total ham - looking at himself for a selfie or in the mirror brings out the best faces.
Wrap is a Tekhni Repreve in Delta Atoll, OMG, it's brand new and feels already broken in & super soft, just a hint of stretch. Already feels like it breathes better than many wovens I've used. I was sold on rainbow print, and I think it's long enough to wrap belly with him up like that - size 7. It's machine washable/dryable too, so huge bonus. They're made actually just a few towns over from me, so I got to touch and feel in a local store before purchase.
I can't wear him with a soft sided carrier right now - I can't get comfortable, but the wrap I can easily find a couple of ways to get him on my back.
