Symptoms Week of 7/1

Re: Symptoms Week of 7/1

  • I'm sorry y'all are suffering but it helps to know I'm not alone.

Ever since adolescence I've felt like my nasal passages permanently narrowed, I can't smell anything anymore, I can't get enough air through my nose, and I get random sinus headaches now and then. PCP has checked me out and said I'm "fine" (then why do I not feel fine???).  :|

Anyways, all of that has become increasingly worse since being pregnant and I wasn't sure if it was just me being "fine" or not.

  • Last pregnancy was four years ago and I've already forgotten so much. I feel like 8 weeks is quite a bit to early for round ligament pain.. right? Pretty sure this could be likely due to my digestion being on strike! I have such a long list for my Dr for next week!!
  • @lzzfrancisco - actually, for STM+ moms you can get it starting right away - it’s my third and I was having it at 5 weeks. Pretty crazy.

  • Well I was having some nausea often enough but this morning it crossed over the edge and I puked 2 minutes after taking a drink of water this morning when I woke up.

Nausea and the heat wave we've been having do not go together. On the plus side last time I was pregnant I was 8 months pregnant at this point so I will admit this might be better.
  • I just want to eat something other than bread.

  • So, my symptoms started tapering off since Sunday. I haven’t thrown up since Sunday, and have been drinking a lot. I feel like it’s a little early for the nausea to disappear and I’m freaking out. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Yep - and they come back with full force.

  • @conchispita how far along are you? My symptoms have come and gone this pregnancy in a way they didn’t last time, and I’ve been panicky about it too. I’ve had days go by where I feel totally normal and then it will all come back in waves. As I’m typing this, I realize it’s not all that helpful, except to say that you’re not alone!

    This.
  • @BourbonBiscuits I’m 9 weeks along. It’s comforting that this could be normal. The only time I’ve had something similar happen it was a loss, so that is the first place my brain goes. It’s good to know that everything could be fine.
  • @conchispita I'm pretty sure if you look at graphs of hcg, it begins to level out at 9 weeks so symptoms may start to ease.
  • Omg. The fireworks made me so sick. Like motion sickness. That was a surprise.
  • TFW you are trying to increase your colace dose to match your increasing constipation and not sure which side to err on...  :s
  • It also doesn't help when the only foods my stomach will let me eat are super binding...

Have I crossed the tmi line yet?
  • @Venessa88 I remember last pregnancy getting so annoyed every time I threw up water. Like SERIOUSLY, body? If you won't let me eat, at least let me hydrate you!
  • @kayjay44 thank you! That makes me feel better.

@conchispita I felt really good yesterday and ate all the food! It was making me really nervous, but now I'm nauseous again this morning. I'm really ready for the damn placenta to start carrying some of it's hormonal weight!

Now I’m scared. I was happy that my nausea was starting to go away a bit...
  • @notthecheat I felt the exact same way last night. I tried eating waffles last night. Had to take the tiniest bites. I’ve never felt so sad eating a waffle in my life. Hoping today is better for you ❤️
  • @BourbonBiscuits - I feel sad eating everything. And I usually have to drug myself with unisom to keep it down.

  • @kayjay44 I felt so bad for you yesterday - every time I saw a hot dog I was like “aww poor kayjay.”
  • @Venessa88 I remember last pregnancy getting so annoyed every time I threw up water. Like SERIOUSLY, body? If you won't let me eat, at least let me hydrate you!
So true. It's not been fun feeling like this in a freaking heat wave either.
  • @cali1710 and @conchispita my symptoms especially nausea started tapering down at 9 weeks. It still comes and goes but is not as strong. Same thing happened when I was pregnant with DD. Nausea completely went away at 11 weeks with her. I think it’s normal as this point.

I’m sorry to all you ladies dealing with issues keeping stuff down.  I feel for you. Hopefully not too much longer until the nausea is gone for good!
  • @allthingsgo thank you! I’m hoping I have that luck too
  • @notthecheat that sounds terrible!

I hope you all get some relief! Being sick in the heat is so draining!
  • @BourbonBiscuits that is not how you want to feel while eating a waffle! I hope the MS passes soon.
  • I just feel like garbage mental health wise today. I can’t peel myself up off the couch for more than 30 minutes. My poor kid has watched a ton of Curious George today
  • The heat wave might just kill me. If I could just lay around and do nothing, that’d be fab. But my two kiddos won’t tolerate that. I floated in my MIL’s pool for a majority of the day until the waves/ rough seas from the kids playing made me want to hurl. Ugh.

  • @allthingsgo hope that ends up being the case. Last time it didn’t start to taper off until 20 weeks. I threw up twice this morning, and I felt a little relieved. But knowing now no ms after 9 weeks can be normal I’m hoping it goes away again
  • I hope all these symptoms chill out for you ladies soon!

For me,  it's constant nausea unless I eat something.   So much for not gaining excess weight this time around  :|

Also experiencing the weird dreams and total exhaustion -ZzZzZzZ-

Didn't have any symptoms with my first, so I think this one is trying to make up for some lost time  :D
  • Turns out my cramping was a UTI, ugh I hate that I always get them
  • @BourbonBiscuits I’m so sorry you are having a rough mental health day. Its totally normal. I know how those are. We are all here for you. I hope you can feel better. <3

  • I thought my symptoms were waning and was getting nervous - never fear, nausea back in full force and night puking has returned.

At at least my anxiety is at bay for now.

Sore boobs have been a constant from the beginning i guess, maybe ten days post ovulation. Im so exhausted and tired, i used to never be able to sleep or take naps in the afternoons but nowadays i can sleep anytime. I feel pukish but never puke. Also feel like I'm losing my balance while walking? Does this happen to anyone..? I never thought this can happen in pregnancy..
  • @hk0219 Lately I frequently feel like I’m losing my balance while walking. I read that dizziness was common in pregnancy, so I figure it’s ok.

My spotting started up again yesterday. I also have a weird on and off pain in my right lower abdomen, so of course I’m irrationally scared it’s ectopic and I’ll bleed to death on the 8 hour flight I’m about to board.

Speaking of flying, I had the worst nausea so far just a few hours ago. Still didn’t puke, but it was real close. So I guess I’ll be pukey and terrified in the air! Wish me luck today, ladies.
