@southernlady07@samd6 I was trying to not buy too much too, but I hate for a shirt to be too short. I bought some exercise shorts in a size up with ties so even after pregnancy they will just be big and comfortable. I’m also trying to buy maternity/nursing tops and dresses so they get some extra wear time.
Same! I've been putting off buying new stuff because it feels like such a waste of money, but now that only one pair of shorts fits me, I think I need to invest in some maternity shorts...
For any of you ladies that have purchased from Pink Blush, how is the sizing? I'm looking at the sizing guide, and feel like I should order up a size? Any insight? And what is the quality like?
@redpuma119 I’ve ordered a few dresses and yoga pants from Pink Blush. In my experience, the sizes were accurate and I would not recommended sizing up (unless you are normally between sizes). The yoga pants are super thin, but so comfy, but I mostly wear them around the house and they show underwear lines. The dresses I bought are good quality (one is a white dress with flowers and it’s not see through at all!).
@Redpuma119 The two dresses I ordered just arrived yesterda!. Pretty quick delivery to Canada so I was impressed. I love the dresses and they fit well. Sizing was accurate. The dresses are stretchy so that's good. I think I may even be able to wear them post-partum. The quality is OK, not amazing, but will do. Sort of like H&M quality, maybe slightly better. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. Oh and I got 25% off during their one-day dress event, but I couldn't combine it with the 10% off first purchase code.

I just want to find some inexpensive tshirts that are NOT shirred on the side. I *hate* shirring. I've deferred to wearing men's tshirts because they are long enough.
@samd6 Target and Old Navy are my go-tos for cheap basics. I have some longer soft v-neck t-shirts from Target (no shirring) that still fit OK. Maybe check to see if you can size up in a longer regular t.

+1 to Duluth trading. Not cheap by any means, but despite carrying big, I'm still wearing my pre pregnancy size with room to go, so they won't be pregnancy only shirts.
Thanks all! I checked my local Target(s) and they seem to be discontinuing the non-shirred tees! They only had white XS left. I’ll check out Duluth Trading, there is a store nearby.
Has as anyone had any luck finding maternity wear at places like Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, etc? Just wondering if it is worth the time to go?
Sorry, I’m being such a brat about this, since this will probably be our only child, it seems a little selfish of me to buy all of this stuff that will only last me another few months
@samd6 - For tanks, I've had luck sizing up the A New Day tanks at Target. I'd been doing the same for t-shirts, but the one size up was getting too short in front and I don't mind the shirring so I've switched to maternity shirt. But if you need tanks too those could be a good option. They seem to have some good length to them.

@samd6 I haven’t had any luck finding maternity close at any stores near me that aren’t specifically maternity stores. Seems like most places only sell maternity close online. I’d much rather do my shopping in store, but I’ve wound up buying a lot online. I’ve found some good deals on Amazon, have you checked there?
@samd6, I have looked at those stores and not found maternity clothes. I guess you could do the whole "buy flowy dresses in a bigger size" at those stores, but each time I've gone it doesn't seem like they have real maternity clothes.
@Patience7150 this is what I’m looking for!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ You saved my pregnancy lol
edit to add: T’s are $5 right now!! And they have a lot of other stuff on sale. Worth checking out if you need to add a nightgown or something to your collection
@adirat I liked the leading lady brand empire style nursing top (with clips). I otherwise used motherhood maternity nursing tanks with the clips for the most part, but I've heard really good things about H&M nursing wear in general so I plan to get some of that stuff this time around. For nursing bras I had both sleep bras (that you pull to the side with mostly no support), and ones that had removable pads and clips. I think I got sleep bras from target, and the clipdown I got off Amazon and motherhood maternity. I think I bought one of the off brand set of 3 from Amazon (currently when I search I see hofish and ilovesia both rated well). I avoided underwires and anything too tight, otherwise it led to milk blebs/blisters or clogged ducts for me.
@nlc8424 Thanks! That's really helpful. I actually tried to check out the Target selection this past weekend but they didn't have much, and the employee told me to look online. I'm a little nervous buying something online without seeing it...
@adirat yeah I hate how limited selection is in store. I think I ended up ordering online a lot of stuff too. I especially look for stuff that will stretch so when your milk comes in it'll accommodate the size and then hopefully bounce back when your supply regulates a bit. For the most part target let's you return stuff bought online in store, so even if I needed to reorder I at least could bring it to the store to return.
I have these nursing tanks and they're currently doubling as maternity sleep wear. I really loved these last time, and found them to hold up to a full year in a small rotation with significant life left in them. I just bought some nursing stuff from motherhood maternity that seems nice but I haven't used yet.
@adirat Bravado seamless nursing bras! I saved three from my last pregnancy and they are all I've been wearing since my underwire bras no longer fit or are comfortable. Totally worth the cost. It's also worthwhile to buy a couple sleep nursing bras that you can pull to the side like @nlc8424 mentioned for nighttime wear. They help hold in pads when you may experience leaking the first few weeks. As far as nursing tanks go-I used the kind that clipped down or just had an elastic top that I could pull down. I think I had some from Target last time, and am thinking about buying a couple Bravado or Hofish tanks this time as well.

I'm an outlier - but for other mommas who actually like/depend on boob support....here's my take.
1 - I have had zero success with any nursing tank. I am pre-baby a 32F, so there's not a great way for me to buy a S/M/L/XL tank, because small enough to fit my ribcage doesn't pretend to hold my boobs. Like, porn star/people of Walmart levels of hilarious. Also, one thin layer of cotton stretch is again...cute, but useless.
2 - ditto on the seamless styles of bras or the cross over ones. I WILL wear those the first 4-5 days during major engorgement times and I love to wear them to bed...because yes, I wear bras to bed, otherwise I end up pinching my own nipples between boob and arm. OUCH. I'm special I do sleep on a towel the first several weeks due to excess sweating and leaking, but even after that, I need a bra overnight that holds some nursing pads for me.
3 - I need real bra sized, structured nursing bras, and unfortunately no stores actually carry a 32H/I which is what I need while pregnant/nursing in store that I've found. Cake, Bravado (the online ones only, not the silly one layer ones at Target/etc), and Dairy Fairy have been my only answer. On the upside, my bras were bought at 20 weeks with my son, in February 2016, and still going strong now, and I have exactly 4/5 bras that I've been rotating through that entire time, haven't bought more. I have HEARD that some of the wirefree Dairy Fairy tanks work decently for larger breast women who like support, but...I took it with a grain of salt because the people telling me this also don't mind the one layer cami-style nursing tanks on their large boobs. I mean, to each their own for sure, but again, those aren't MY style.
4 - I bought bras at halfway that I could close on the 2nd tightest band (so that after I lost baby figure they fit great on tightest band setting) and had a little extra cup space. Not like deflated cup space, but a full cup that the edge was closer to my rib cage that necessary, so that once I was nursing, I filled it out nicely. Did great on sizing. My bras are regular structured lined with underwire bras, no issues with blocked ducts/mastitis as I made sure they fit appropriately - the wire lays directly on my rib cage and the band is tight enough it can't move, so it doesn't impede nursing at all.
I hope that helps any like-minded ladies! I know there are tons of moms who hate wearing bras in general and prefer the stretchy wire-free stuff, but I figure I'm not the only one who doesn't!

All of my nursing bras I'd like to burn from hating them, but I can't justify spending much more money. Boobs are so weird post partum.
