@acunamatada I’m getting poop contractions too grrr! So over them. I seem to get them worse at night too. But idk if they are doing anything because i see more MP each time. We’ll see...

  • @wildtot yeah I’ve been getting more and more MP too, I think they’re doing something but I’m soo impatient. I guess I was spoiled with DS basically waking up in active labor
  • From a pregnancy standpoint, this weekend really sucked.  Contractions all Friday and Saturday and I lost my MP.  Couldn't sleep at all.  Then nothing except pure exhaustion yesterday.  I dozed on the couch while DH and DD were at the park in the morning then took a 2 hour nap when DD did.  I dealt with a lot of BP and swelling issues with DD, but not a lot of pre-labor stuff.  It's definitely nerve wracking!

+1 to contractions this weekend. But same. Nothing timetable or even painful enough.
  • I'm considering canceling my dermatologist exam that's scheduled for this week.  I know as soon as I do it'll guarantee he's not coming before Thursday, but really - who wants a full body mole exam at 38 weeks pregnant any way???  I'm also fairly certain there are some he's going to want to remove and I'm just not up for that at this point.  I'll call and try to move to 6-8 weeks post op.
  • @MrsMiller8588 Best wishes, exciting!

Sending good vibes and good luck your way, @MrsMiller8588!
  • @canucklehead123 the fluids ARE so frustrating! I wonder a lot but I always end up concluding that its discharge.
  • @canucklehead123 ugh it is so annoying always wondering about the fluid situation. I leak pee a lot during pregnancy so I always just assume it’s pee
  • Good luck @MrsMiller8588 I hope you have a smooth L&D!!
  • @MrsMiller8588 happy delivery day!

    Isabella & Julian & and now #3!
  • @paytonpedro I had horrible RLP this morning too! First time in months I think. I think it was because my bladder was too full.
  • I was closed yesterday for my first cervix check. Really not rushing anything and just trying to enjoy the last few days before madness. He will come when he is ready!

There cervix check was pretty painful for me but I didn't spot afterwards, I was sore for a couple of hours though.
  • I made no progression since last week. Still about 2cm dilated.

@kissableviv the OB who checked me yesterday was SO ROUGH!!! It hurt so bad and I bled and cramped all day/night after. It was so painful. The OB who checked me last week was so gentle and I didn’t spot or cramp. Definitely not scheduling to see this lady ever again.

  • Had another cervix check today (37+4) . Last week the OB said I was 2cm and thick and today (different) OB said she couldn’t quite get a finger in (so maybe 1ish?) but 50% effaced. I guess I’m grateful for effacement but come on little man, I want you out!

Im also at -3 station which doesn’t surprise me but isn’t my favorite. I can feel him moving in my ribs still so really I would have been surprised if he was any lower than that.
  • This whole early labor thing makes me realize (or gives me the illusion) that I don’t know my body at all.
  • @zande2016 I think I’ve heard that too. Trying to be positive and thinking that even if I go late again it’s still less than I month that I have to wait. Which is a little bit reassuring. And I can feel him scraping my cervix every time he moves so even if he hasn’t dropped, he’s still prepared to get there!

@paytonpedro pregnancy is a weird thing.
  • For those of you being told how effaced and stage you are, these are through ultrasounds right?
  • edited June 2018
@wildtot Mine was never by US - they said the cervix is rarely visualized that late in pregnancy bc the baby's head is so low. It's done through internal exam and is pretty subjective, the same as dilation and station. My OB had me at 1, 40%, and -1. A midwife that night had me at 1/2, no effacement, and -3.

    Edited for spelling
  • @TalesOfASocialIntrovert thanks for the explanation! With DS they did tons of ultrasounds so i thought that’s how they would know.
Idk if I’ll get checked again this week but there’s lots of painful movement and loss of plug that i got a feeling I’ve progressed more than the 1 cm i was two weeks ago. We’ll see if today’s massage did anything (not the intention) but she said she’d go easy on me to not induce labor.
