@pinkdaisylove I have the boob stretch marks too  :'( Mine are from mid first trimester. I've been putting bio oil on them and my belly twice a day to prevent more and lighten what I already have.
Thank you, I will try that! I have been doing the belly butter but guess I didn’t realize I should be also doing the boobs too! I really hope they lighten!!
My husband told me he noticed a couple weeks ago but didn’t tell me because he didn’t want me to be self conscious, said “your a mommy now”. I’m excited for my baby but honestly that made me cry a little bit. So many changes!!

  • @wildrainbow - thanks, that’s what I read it most likely was. I don’t know if it woke me up or if i woke up and just immediately felt it last night but ouch! I feel like I have more aches/pains this pregnancy than with my first (although I was 4 years younger too).

  • @preggersabroad she prescribed Esgic. I've taken it 4 times and it has worked 2 times. That isn't enough for me to want to continue taking it. I'm actually going to try a prenatal chiropractor. We will see if that helps!

  • @mockingjay1 Same here. So many more aches and pains, which I was told was normal for the second pregnancy. Sigh, guess we will be walking like little old ladies before it's over.
  • Thyroid labs came back and my dose needs to be increased to keep me in ideal pregnancy range.  I'm so relieved that the heavy exhaustion I've had the last few days has an explanation that isn't something I just have to deal with for the next 24 or so weeks.  So excited to feel functional again (hopefully)!
  • 20 weeks yesterday, and I’m back to feeling beyond exhausted and starving, after only about 3 weeks of feeling normal.

  • @wildrainbow, I will give it a shot, thanks.  I love lemon but anything too acidic sets me off too.... but I bet cucumber or strawberry would work well!

  • Welp....today I had the worse back pain I have ever had in life. For about an hour I just knew I was going to pass out at work. I think they call it sciatica and the pain felt worse than when I had my appendix taken out last year. Was definitely debating going to the hospital but I decided to just call my nurse and see what I could take for pain (She suggested Tylenol.) . After walking around my office for an hour I finally started to feel better. Then I started getting the feeling of "lightning crotch". Don't mean to complain but today has been rough :( Praying tomorrow will be better!
  • Super swollen feet, insatiable thirst, and tired from waking up 3-4 times in the middle of the night to pee.  :s

  • @MojieJo same!  :s on Sunday I went through the guest room (currently my walk-in closet) that we're converting to the nursery. I ended up donating 4 garbage bags worth of clothes and setting aside 2 bags full of clothes I can't wear anymore due to my growing bump.
  • @serabjorn I hear you on the up all night to pee! so annoying
  • @firstimemommy1118 Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about the terrible pain you had today. :( It sounds like maybe the baby was sitting really low today since you were feeling lightning crotch too. Have you been feeling any better tonight?
@runningyogimama I started feeling super hungry again too around the 19 week mark. I'm sorry you're already back to feeling exhausted again. I hope it goes away soon so you can feel normal for at least a little while!
@serabjorn My OB recommended not having anything to drink after 7pm so I wasn't up all night going to the bathroom, but I'm just so thirsty I can't help it!

@eahayes it is so annoying!  I guess it's conditioning for when baby arrives, though!  :dizzy:

@offtoneverland I don't think I could survive the ~12 hours from 7pm to when I wake up without having any water!  When I wake up in the middle of the night to pee, I am super thirsty then too--so I end up needing to drink water in the middle of the night!

I let my OB know about my insatiable thirst and swollen feet, and he ordered me a blood test to make sure everything is okay and to check for diabetes (something I have never had before, but I am overweight so it could be a possibility).
Nov. '18 September Siggy Challenge: Falling into Fall

  • Sciatic pain is coming in strong, and another joyous symptom I forgot from last time, pregnancy induced carpal tunnel. Ugh. Gotta find my old wrist braces lol.
  • @lurvleybunchococonuts I'm cracking up at the thought of you cleaning out your bathroom cupboard at 2:15 in the morning! Also, our A/Ss are on the same day. I agree - it can't get here fast enough!

I had some weird cramping last night. I drank a bunch of water, went to bed early, and felt fine when I woke up. Chalking it up to muscles stretching. Was unusual, though, so I was definitely alarmed for a moment. Pregnancy nerves are fun.
  • I started hearing a whooshing sound in my ears when I lay down - like hearing my own heartbeat, except that normally only happens when I've been exercising intensely.  Googled it and apparently it's a fairly common (and unconcerning) pregnancy thing called pulsatile tinnitus.  Pregnancy is so bloody weird.

At my appointment yesterday morning, I mentioned to my doctor that I have gotten swollen feet and an insatiable thirst. He is having me do bloodwork to test my blood sugar levels to make sure everything is okay.  I am so thirsty all the time... I drank 30oz of water throughout the night last night the 4-5 times I woke up needing to pee.

Here are my feet first thing this AM after arriving to work.  I am plus-sized with small feet for my height/size.  I normally wear size 7 but I have been bulging out of size 8. :(  This morning my feet are still swollen and tingly, but by the time tonight rolls around they will be even more swollen (I have a desk job, so I am not on my feet a whole lot).  I wear these flats because my other shoes put too much pressure on the tops of my feet.

Anyone else going through something similar with swollen feet and/or being super thirsty?  :s

  • @serabjorn - yikes! I'm glad your doctor is looking into it. It seems a little early to be so swollen and that seems like excessive thirst for sure. I would get really swollen on days I worked by 20 weeks with DS, but was ok when I wasn't working (I'm a nurse and hardly ever sit at work for 13+ hours at a time). Once I started wearing compression hose it was much better. I wear them at work all the time now. Maybe that's something you can try (even though you're not on your feet all the time at work it will help with blood return and swelling). Hope you get some answers soon!

I've been very uncomfortable today (like 5-6/10 on a pain scale). It's pretty consistent pain to my R lower abdomen/almost hip and it radiates toward my side/back a lot. I am hoping it's just my ligament or something being stretched in there. I don't have any signs of a UTI and I don't feel sick or have a fever that would indicate appendicitis or anything. Hopefully I just slept wrong and it will be better later tonight or tomorrow. I took some tylenol it was getting so bad.

  • 20+5 and traded my sickness and exhaustion for heartburn and pain. I finally have energy again but it’s so hard to do anything with my round ligament and sciatic nerve pain. If I move too fast it almost drops me and by the end of work my left leg is so numb it’s ridiculous. I got some kt tape and it helps some but man it’s bad this time.

  • Well, the curse of being short has struck. Bending over is already getting uncomfortable, which is really cramping ds's style. Between my boobs and my belly, I can't see to groom down there, which will be interesting when we go to the beach in a weekish time.
  • i think i’ve seen ladyscaping mentioned a few times already this week, so i’m going to go ahead and put this out there: i’ve been seriously thinking of asking dh to take over that chore until the end of this pregnancy. i’m weirdly concerned about it, like that’s the bridge too far in our relationship.

I was worried too but my husband told me to shut up and I’m so glad I listened to him. I already feel like it’s coming sooner this time around and I’m so glad he’s ok with it haha

  • @highsteaks what about waxing? I have found that it leaves less irritation and lasts longer than shaving.

  • @lifesabeach85 i just waxed my bikini line for the first time last month... i was actually thinking about maybe a little more off next week. i’m not normally shy at all about body or sex stuff, but hair weirds me out for some reason. i need to get over it.
  • @serabjorn that's what my feet looked like last pregnancy but I was told it was because of my high blood pressure. Have they checked your numbers? It might be a good idea to get a cuff and do daily reading to make sure that isn't the issue.

So I had some really sharp pain in my lower stomach, just in one spot on my right side. It came and went in waves. I am assuming it was RLP but all I was doing was laying in bed. It hurt though!

So maybe this is LC but like... Is it suppose to feel like random stabbing in the vagina/right behind the "pubic mound" area?  Cause I randomly got that periodically today but I thought LC was suppose to be 3rd trimester crap. Or is that what LO bouncing off your cervix feels like? I dunno... Sometimes I get these random aches/uncomfortableness in the general ute area and just assume it's suppose to be normal? It's not terrible but kinda rather uncomfortable.

Eta: and apologies I imagine this has been asked like 80million times but I'm too lazy to go back and read/serach right noe on mobile

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts It sounds like it may be LC or LO sitting on/kicking your cervix. It happened to me several times throughout the day a few weeks ago, and it happened again yesterday. I was just sitting at my desk and got this weird sort of tingly sharp feeling in my cervix area several times in a row. I took it to mean LO was kicking my cervix, but I really don't know. I do think it's probably normal at this point as long as it's not severe or continuous.

@MojieJo that made me crack up picturing pepperoni slices in your bra.  :D

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts sounds like LC to me. I’ve had it on and off since about 16w. I think it happens when LO is in an uncomfortable position or my uterus is expanding.

  • @mojiejo lmao that sucks but also giggling about potentially storing meats in your bra

@lifesabeach85 @offtoneverland thanks! I didn't find it too "distressing" cause usually I can adjust positions or sit down vs stand or vice versa and it'll relieve it for a bit. Just weird and slightly uncomfortable.

Sigh... The joys of pregnancy you never realized happened before getting KU

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts Pregnancy is just so so weird. When you're not pregnant, you can usually attribute your aches and pains to something. But during pregnancy it's just a guessing game. Baby? Gas? Constipated? Dehydrated? Just normal run of the mill pains? It's bizarre and kind of unsettling.

  • Hello everyone! I’m officially 20 weeks today. I’ve felt what I think are super subtle movements, but I’m always questioning it! Just today I was pretty sure I felt baby right above my bikini line, but then I felt something very clearly near my ribs. Is this possible? Does that mean that more than likely one of those movements wasn’t the baby?

Where have you all been feeling the baby around 20 weeks?
