DH is waiting for a call regarding a bigbig car move and it is agonizing. He's with the organization so he knows the calls have started going out and despite having a very strong candidacy, it's hard not to worry. He's been anxious for weeks but it's kicked in for me too this week.
It would be a massive change for us but it would make him very very happy and potentially have a huge pay off in the long run.
Thankfully we have our house repairs relatively figured out and the work should start in two weeks or so. That's one less thing on my mind 24/7!
Among the things is finding a new OB provider. I've been going to a birth center for years for OB and GYN but my one previous pregnancy ended in a C-section and the birth center doesn't do VBACs so...
I’m such an asshole - DH and I have jokingly decided that when people ask “what the baby is” meaning gender, we’re just doing to respond “we’re pretty sure it’s DH’s”. I’m sick of people being dicks about us being team green (again).
That’s hilarious @kayjay44. Another good one is “Most likely it’s human”. Or just look puzzled and ask why they’re so interested in your unborn child’s genitals.

I’m working from home today because DD has a dress rehersal for her dance recital Saturday. I have no intention of spending my time out of bed (it’s also our only room with AC).
I was supposed to work from home today but technology failed me royally and now I'm so irritated by every little sound, smell, distraction in this damn office... My only consolation is that I'm going to go out and buy myself a nice lunch. It had better be good!
We went to get DS hair cut this morning and a girl I know walked in with her little boy. DD looked at her and said I’m getting a baby brother or sister... whhhyyy?! We haven’t even told DD yet for that exact reason!
This is why we’re not telling DD (4) - before I was pregnant, she was telling everyone I was. We plan on waiting until the 12w ultrasound and taking her with and telling her then
@becks_726 When she said it I bursted out laughing, and then awkwardly denied it. I hate lying but I live in a VERY small town (less then 1,000 people) and she would have the entire town informed by dinner time!
@kayjay44 DD is 4 and we never told her and we make a point not to talk about it in front of her! Maybe she has super senses and can sense it? I have an appt Monday and I'll be 8 weeks. I don't have a sitter for her so it looks like she's coming with me. We'll have to announce it WAAAAY sooner then we would like.
@mainemama_ - We'll see if I can keep it a secret that long from her. I'm terrible at keeping secrets like this. It was so hard not to say something to my parents on father's day. I might just tell her after we see a good HB since the chances of something going wrong are really low.

I watch Handmaid’s Tale but I still have one episode of season 1 left. I love the show but it is intense and once I started having dreams about it I knew I needed a break haha.
