I hope this is ok to ask.
Im just curious how everyone’s ttc journey went. I will say my first two were very quick conceptions. This time however we started actively TTC in April of 2017, (trigger warning) got a bfp after our Boston vacation in late November but miscarried in early December. In March I was feeling defeated since all my blood work and my husbands semen analysis had come back perfect. I started Clomid 50 mg in April even though I ovulate on my own. I took Clomid in May as well even though my husband was at military training most of the month. I had four large follicles on ultrasound before ovulation. We were only able to dtd ONE time due to him being gone. I could not believe my eyes on May 24 when I got a bfp.

ER#2 ~Jan 2019
This time we've been TTC since November 2015. In September 2016 I went to my first appointment at a fertility clinic and came out crying and a nervous wreck so I didn't go back. I had one round of blood work done but insurance denied it twice and I literally JUST finished paying it off so needless to say I had little interventions done but not for lack of trying.
TLDR- this go around was much more frustrating and I'm so excited and nervous to FINALLY have a BFP
With my 2nd, it was quick and unexpected (got pregnant when DS was about 10 months)
For this pregnancy, it was about 6 months. IUD was removed in December and BFP came on June 8.
DS - 7.5
DD #1 - 6

DD#2 - born 12.24.19
Second one, not trying/not preventing but got BFP the first cycle off of BC.
Number three (now), I had my Mirena removed in March and got BFP pretty quickly before having a real cycle, but *TW* had an early loss at the end of April. Got another BFP 4 weeks later again without an actual period. It’s been an anxious run this time around.
We started trying when DS turned 6m (I had already started my cycle and was still BFing). My cycles were still irregular but was temping. The cycle we got KU, I actually hadn't been temping. It was about 5m of active trying.

BFP: 11/22/2016 | EDD: 7/29/2017
With this one we just decided to start trying and got a BFP right away. I’m still in disbelief and worried this may not stick since it happened so fast.
With this one I got off bc in January. We weren't really trying (tracking my cycle) until April - LMP was May 4th
I never thought it would happen so fast but I could just feel it in the week before I tested. I feel so incredibly fortunate.
My second we tried for a couple of months before deciding to stop because of some stuff going on in our life and then found out we were pregnant, of course.
This one we never went on BC or tried to prevent after we had our 2nd. It took almost a year, although some of that time was due to breastfeeding (no cycle) and my husbands work schedule.
This time it was 3 cycles.
TW
TW* we got pregnant first month trying in November but miscarried in February.
This little bean took 2 cycles just like DD
i will be forever grateful and never take for granted that we have conceived fairly easily.
Second, IUD came out In November and we just weren’t preventing but my husband was transferring jobs at the time so we were hardly together. Got pregnant when we were together permanently again and really started trying in February but *TW* had an early loss and then a wonky cycle after it and then got pregnant again the next cycle and here we are.
With DD it took 2.5 years 4 IVF cycles each with a failed transfer and a frozen transfer that end in MMC. Finally donor eggs worked the first time trying them May 2016. This time we went straight to donor eggs and got pregnant the first transfer.

The following month, we conceived again.
@canadianmom89 said it beautifully: I too will be forever grateful and never take for granted that I conceived easily.
Reading what others go thru I feel very lucky, just hoping for the best.
DD took 18m, 4 IUI/injectables and *TW* 2 MC
this pregnancy took 2 months. Still in shock!
I have PCOS and a bicornuate uterus which makes TTC very difficult for us. With DD, it took one month shy of six years and six losses before we finally got our rainbow baby in August last year.
Then we had an oops BFP which ended up in a MC in January. Three months TTC afterward, we got our BFP for this LO. I’m honestly shocked it happened so quickly. TBH I’m also a bit jaded about the potential prognosis of a positive outcome. But hey, one day at a time! Trying to think positively!
We started trying in January of this year, and got pregnant in February. That pregnancy MC'd in mid-March at a little over 6 weeks. Started trying again in April, and got pregnant with this current one in late May. So both times, I conceived within two cycles of starting to try. I felt very lucky, since I have friends who had to try for a year or more to get their bfp.
Background: I'm 29 and don't have any health conditions (as far as I'm aware). OB thinks my MC back in March was due to a genetic abnormality of the embryo and didn't see any warning signs in my health record to warrant testing. I agree with her, and hope this one sticks! If it doesn't, then odds are something else is at play and I'll have some testing done to check thyroid levels and hormone levels.
Best of luck to all of us on our pregnancies!
There seems to be many people here who had suffered from IF and/or loss. How heartbreaking that there are so many of us.
I am humbled to see so many others who did not struggle acknowledge their good fortune and be considerate of those of us that haven't had suck luck.

(Trigger warnings up the wazoo: I got pregnant the second time on my first try, but lost that baby at 5 weeks. I never got my period, and got pregnant 2 weeks later, but lost that baby at 10 weeks
This is my 5th pregnancy, conceived on the first try. I’m shocked and scared because it feels too easy, but I’m just praying we already had our share of bad luck.
I have a good feeling this time (which is obviously not scientific in the least) but im sure that won't stop me from being a crazy person until i see a heartbeat on a scan.
@kayjay44 my 4yo has been asking for a baby sister for the past 6 months. I’ve been side eyeing her, too.
TW I got pregnant on our 4th cycle this time as well but it ended in a early loss. Same the next cycle. Then nothing for several months and this was our last month trying naturally before resorting to using a frozen embry (I went through fertility preservation due to some other health issues) end TW
All told it took us around 10 months this time

First pregnancy took 9 months to conceive and then I had a MMC. I became pregnant with DS on the second cycle after the miscarriage. I was extremely lucky and conceived DD the first cycle trying. This time around, I had a CP the first cycle we tried and then 8 months of nothing before my current BFP. I feel extremely fortunate that we've been as lucky as we have, even with a couple bumps in the road.
