DS Birthday party is tomorrow and there is 25-30ish people coming. I told the baker there was going to be 65 people attending because I want all the extra cake.
My husband broke a promise to me and I have no problem milking this for all it is worth.
I’m debating skipping a birthday party tomorrow and claiming morning sickness (it’s my BFFs daughter and she knows I’m KU). It’s an hour away and we haven’t had a weekend with no plans for a few months. I need some downtime.
My company has happy hour every Friday starting at 3:30 - since I can’t drink and I’m not ready to tell everyone (I always have a beer or two), I’m planning on leaving work at 3:30 today.
I’m so tired I’ve been getting into bed at 7:30 and letting my husband do bath and bedtime alone - he used to travel a lot so I did it for years and don’t feel guilty.
It's not really a confession, but I'm heading out of town today to go to a wedding and my mom is my date. (I live 5 hrs away from wedding, mom lives 3... we're meeting) She has NO idea I'm p. she's CRAZYYYY and has openly guilt tripped me & H for years over not giving her a grandchild. So when she finds out, there will be screaming and crying and my dad's going to tell her she's embarrassing. She's already been talking about drinking before wedding in the hotel. I've been telling her things like, "why would I drink?! It's not even open bar" Things like that. (Also, thank god it's not open bar) We're telling my parents and gparents next weekend because I want everyone to be together when I surprise them. If I didn't have this dang wedding, we'd be telling everyone tomorrow. Wish me luck!
(P.S. I'm gonna have to hide my bloat, my slight morning nausea, my cramping )
I’m making my husband clean the cat box every time now. I’ve told him about the risk of toxoplasmosis and that pregnant women shouldn’t do it, so he agreed. He doesn’t know toxoplasmosis is pretty much nonexistent in indoor cats... My cat is an indoor cat.

@saraloveschunk - I thought my mom’s reaction to me being pregnant with DD would be the same bc she’s guilted me for years about not having kids. Completely opposite and she didn’t speak to me for four days while she “got used to the idea.” I would assume most mothers are normal, though, so I hope you get a good reaction!
@saraloveschunk tell your mom you have a UTI! Good reason not to drink, and usually personal enough for people not to keep asking questions. Better than saying you’re on a diet (“one drink won’t hurt!”) or antibiotics (“what kind of infection do you have/I drank when I was on antibiotics and I was fine).

My son’s final two tee-ball games are tonight and tomorrow. I am so freaking glad it’s almost over. I learned I am a lousy sports mom - I do not like sitting out in the heat.
I've probably spent 50% of my time at work this week doing nothing. My brain is cluttered with anxiety, curiosity and excitement and focusing has been torture. I'm hoping I can take the weekend to relax and clear my mind....

My son finished little league for the season last weekend and I miss it already, except for the part where I also despise the heat lol
My boys’ last tball/baseball games are tomorrow morning... I’ll miss it (confession: I’ll mostly miss my older son’s coach pitch games—tball is kind of painful to watch). But it’ll be nice to just chill now. 2.5 hrs of baseball 3xs a week is a lot.
@kayjay44 grebretso I ended up telling the bartender to make my Coke in one of the cocktail cups with the cocktail straw. He just smiled. Phew. There was no champagne toast. @grebretso a UTI is an AMAZING idea!!!!! Wish I would have seen this before! You're a genius!
@ginger1228 I'm sorry to hear that! I hope everything's OK now with Mom. Parents can be so weird. I hope my mom is happy!!! Otherwise.... >:-(

@Ktrue85 - This is why I am not pushing my kids to try soccer - I don't want to sit in the rain like my parents had to for me
@becks_726 Me too. Luckily I'm getting some done here and there, but my brain is elsewhere.
