This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): waiting for AF

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): hopefully getting it for baseline to prep for FET

How are things going?: currently optimistic. Doing a cleanse this week and busy at work so hopefully I'm too busy to stress about AF and delay her.

GTKY: What are your favorite summer traditions? When I was younger I would go camping with my grandparents. Now as an adult I love the fourth of July parade and cookouts during that time. It's not really a traditions but I love going after memorial day to get flowers and fill my pots!

my estrace was increased to 3 times a day on Friday. I go back for monitoring tomorrow and then am scheduled to start PIO and Benadryl on Friday with FET on 6/20

How are things going?:
good, getting a little antsy but looking forward to my transfer

GTKY: What are your favorite summer traditions?
i love making tortellini salad. My mom used to make it when I was a kid since my birthday is in June so now that I’m an adult I make it myself but i always look forward to it. Also love the beach and boardwalk

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): We're trying on our own. I dropped the ball with temping, so it's just OPKs and hoping we get extremely lucky!

How are things going?: Meh. This month is 2 years since we've been trying which blows. Never imagined I'd be here...buuut here we are. But I am enjoying no meds and no appts.

Any questions?: Nope!!

GTKY: What are your favorite summer traditions? A bunch of random things that make me think of summer. Going to an amusement park we went to every year as kids with my parents that my siblings and I go to now.
Trips down the shore. Pizza and ice cream on the boardwalk.
Pasta with fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden

@beachbunnyxo123 omg so soon!!!! So far I know LDN, Prednisone, lovenox, prograf, PIO, estrace, endometrin, baby aspirin, cleocin and a zpak.... probably intralipids but the IV causes me more stress than it might be worth

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Waiting For Betas!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Second FET of two embabees. Added intralipids and have been trying to play it cool.

How are things going?: Pretty well. I haven't been obsessing as bad as last time. I haven't tested at all. Mostly because ignorance is bliss and I don't want to play the line game.

Any questions?: Not this time.

GTKY: What are your favorite summer traditions? We used to spend one week every summer with my grandma. it was so amazing. Mom was crazy, so any break we got from her was amazing. At Nana's, we got to mostly do our own thing, and had some crazy fun things mixed in. She had a million goats, so I used to go climb up in the Olive tree in the Goat pens. I would read the day away with the goats climbing all over me and the tree and under me. It was so wonderful.

How are things going?: I'm just sort of going through the motions. I think I've lost a lot of the hope that IUI will work, but I'm giving it this last shot since this was the initial treatment plan

GTKY: What are your favorite summer traditions? endless reading. I guess summer reading in school really stuck with me because it is my favorite summer activity. reading by the pool or in the pool or thinking of a pool. LOL. Also, beach trips and barbecues

@beachbunnyxo123 I haven't talked to him yet. I think we're waiting for my baseline appt. With that being said - they said my first ERA cycle had me the closest, so I'd imagine it'll be medicated. Maybe with an extra day or two prior to a transfer.
@Avrilmai Good luck at your appt this week. I understand losing hope, my last IUI I was definitely just going through the motions so I totally get where you're coming from. I hope you're pleasantly surprised!

@beachbunnyxo123 no firm timeline yet. We would do a treatment planning meeting with my RE next cycle, so at the earliest it would probably be August, but that is a pure guess. I keep debating if we should ask for the IVF consult meeting now or wait for the outcome of this cycle.

Any questions?: can they really diagnose you just by fsh levels that are still within "accepted range"?? I feel like this doctor is so shitty and I really need a second opinion... There's such scarce/conflicting info out there I honestly have no clue what to think right now.

@50wife I so feel you on the 2 year anniversary thing. I lost my shit when I hit mine in January. Huge hugs, friend. It just blows.

AFM:

Once again, I disappeared off the face of the earth for a time. But I've been reading, lovetitting, and thinking of you all

Diagnosis:  Old AF, OH is being treated for Low T and is likely shooting blanks so we resorted to freezing his swimmers

Status:  TWW

What are you doing:  Inseminating two vials of frozen man juice per cycle, 12-18 hours apart to try and hit that egg when it comes down the pipe.

How is it going:  Well, I picked up our last four remaining vials a couple of weeks ago, and used two a little over a week ago. I'm feeling almost numb at this point. I've already started the process of moving on since I don't feel any real hope anymore. Of course, the twisted part of me thinks "ooh, once I lose hope then it will happen!" and then the realist part of me slaps that bitch right in the face for being silly. Anyway, I've mentioned before that I'm looking forward to not TTC anymore because the constant uncertainty and hope/crash/hope/crash is exhausting,and I can move on with the fun things I can do that would be harder if we were successful. I will always have a hole in my heart after all this, but sometimes bad news is better than so much waiting.

So my next cycle is it, and I have to decide if I'm going to pursue either one last midwife IUI, or even a medicated IUI with the RE, as a last resort. The latter will require buy in from OH since it will be mostly be out of pocket. The midwife I can probably just tell him I'm doing since it isn't nearly as pricey. Or, I may just decide that because I have no control over what will happen, I may as well keep on keeping on. I have no idea...

GTKY:  Hm, I'm really more of a spring girl. But I love the longer days that mean I can do outside things after work, although I don't do that nearly as often as I would like. I also loved camping growing up, and wish we still did that. I'll have to work on OH and get a trip going.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Hysteroscopy & laparoscopy tomorrow.

How are things going?: I’m anxious in an anticipatory way for surgery tomorrow. One of my friends had the same ones last week by the same doctor & said it was not near as awful as expected. I’m glad to be off for a few days & hopefully have a few questions answered as well as shave down the partial septum.

Any questions?: Not today.

GTKY: We always has a garden, growing up. I have revived this tradition & it brings me great peace to tend to it daily.

@purplg8r you got this girl! Believe it or not I was scared about that too but it actually wound up being the easiest part for me. The hardest part was being on edge in between monitoring appointments (but this was since I was a poor responder) and I never knew what my results were gonna be like. You can do it!
