Re: Weekly Randoms 6/4
Anyways, whether it’s hormones or whether he has a point I felt like a shitty mom so I decided to take her to a movie this afternoon to make up for it, just the 2 of us. I was nervous because she is wild and fearless and likes to run from me and isn’t always great at sitting still for long periods so I like having DH’s extra hands when we go out. But it turned out to be a lot of fun! We ate popcorn and laughed at the movie and I feel really proud of myself for handling the outing alone. In your face DH lol
@MouseMama817 - that sounds like fun!
DS and I went to the zoo today, and I think we were both tired and hot. DS asked to go home after a couple hours (which never happens) and I was more than happy to oblige.

I think I have mentioned this before, but one of my best friends is getting married in a couple of months and I’m a bridesmaid. I ordered the non-returnable dress about three weeks before I found out I was pregnant. Thankfully, it’s super flowy so fits my belly just fine. The problem is that when I got measured for the dress, my chest was a 32. Now, it’s a 36. I have an alteration appointment tomorrow and I’m praying this lady can work a miracle so I can get it zipped and wear it!
Update on my bridesmaid dress sitatuion: it can be fixed! She basically has to reconstruct the dress and it’s going to cost a fortune, but I won’t look like I’m wearing a giant sack of a dress. Yay!
@wildrainbow I dream of a night like that. I’m glad you got a good night’s rest.
@middleschoolmommy that’s awesome! I’m glad they were so understanding!
Our Disney vacation is almost over. I’m probably
going to be depressed the rest of the week. Back to work on Thursday, but luckily the weekend will come soon. Finger’s crosses for a good flight with the kids tomorrow. DD is easy, but DS isn’t interested in movies at all. I’ve got a bag full of target dollar spot stuff to help pass the time. I also plan on letting him eat anything and everything to keep him busy.

I tried out a prenatal yoga class last night which was pretty awesome. I am excited to get into it again after being away too long. It's really the little things.
@wannaflickone I missed that you were doing Disney! I hope you had a great time and the flight isn't awful. We took DD in January as a pre #2 family vacation and she loved it which we didn't expect because she was only 18 months old.
My random - I got 3 hours of sleep last night between needing to pee, the dog getting up just for shits and giggles and DD deciding 5 am was wake up time. Snack is happening right now and is Cheerios dipped in ketchup (toddler request) and I'm just rolling with it and praying she actually naps today (we're 50/50 for naps at this point).

My random thing: Am I the only one irrationally excited about the new BMBs being added to TB? I don't feel like the new kid on the block anymore.
I had my boys out in the garage playing (it's their favorite place to play for some reason) and one of them pulled a metal step-ladder off the wall (about three feet above me), directly onto my lower spine, right above my hips (I was sitting bent over at the time). It hurts, but I'm not worried about me, I'm afraid for baby.
I've read it would take the kind of trauma you would sustain in a car accident to hurt baby and that they're well protected in there, so everything is probably fine, right? It didn't hit my stomach and I'm not cramping or bleeding, just in pain.
I can't go in to see the doctor or go to the ER (which feels like overkill anyway) because I have no one to watch the kids, so I'm hoping this is a non-issue aside from some bruising and soreness.

@offtoneverland we are still waiting for him to think tv is cool. He will be 2 in August and has absolutely no interest. We survived the flight! Almost missed it, but thank goodness for an amazing ticket agent. He got our luggage tags printed with 30 seconds to spare. DD was awesome on the flight and kept herself entertained. DS was a hot mess, but was quiet. We just had to work overtime entertaining him. I thought I packed enough snacks to keep him busy, but he had already eaten all his favorite things by take off. Ha! Disneyland was so great. I loved watching DD's face as she saw her favorite people. She was so star struck.
I haven't called my OB yet since there's nothing going on other than some back pain and bruising right now, but I definitely will if things change or get worse!
I'm sure I'm just worrying for nothing. I just needed to hear from other mamas that it takes more than this to hurt the little guy so I can get my anxiety under control.
