I poured my cereal and cut up in my banana in it for lunch and when I was going to pour my soy milk I realize it had gone bad. The expiration date is not until July and I just opened it last week!! So now I am eating dry cereal for lunch.

Its officially official. Regular pants don't fit me anymore. I started the day with the rubber band trick thinking as the day progressed and my pants got looser (they were fresh out the dryer) that I'd be able to button them. Well, 1:40 now and I still can't button them.
Bought maternity pants online at Old Navy this weekend but they don't arrive until Monday. So here I sit waiting for the mail to arrive...
DH and I don't travel often or go places on the weekend because he travels 1700 miles a week and doesn't want to on the weekend (understandably). This coming weekend we have a Friday wedding in Omaha for his cousin and I'm getting quite excited about it! For starters, the hotel is across the street from the venue, so I can settle DS & I in and not worry about more travel & timing. Secondly, there is a water park at the hotel and DS is obsessed with water, so I'm sure we'll take a visit there! Third, we are going to the Omaha Zoo on Saturday with DH's family & I can't contain my excitement for how DS is going to love it. Lastly, OMG I can finally eat out! We live in a town so small that eating out is a rare occasion. I want something seafood so bad!
I called about my $1100 NIPT bill and apparently I was supposed to fill out some sort of survey to qualify for the $299 price, which my genetic counselor failed to mention. Luckily they're letting me do it still and gave me the discounted price right away over the phone.

I just need to AW for a sec because today is my anniversary and I still freaking love my dress. I’d wear it to the grocery store and the park if I could get away with it. It wasn’t a “yes to the dress” type tears-everywhere situation but it grew on me. It is perfectly my style.
Also my husband is the bomb too. Just as an aside.

@PensiveCrayon Beautiful! And happy anniversary! We should do a GTKY some day where we AW our wedding dresses/weddings. I've seen it on other boards, sounds fun!
@whaat That book reminds me of a friend’s kid! When he was about eight, he would get so sad if we even mentioned his mom’s life before he was born. So any talk about her early 20s needed to include a reminder that he “was a tiny baby, and doesn’t remember.” It was really cute actually.

@scaredunprepared my dog is doing that too. He always loves me but he usually is content to know that we're in the same house. Lately he's been stuck to me. It's very sweet.
I’m a bit overwhelmed at work today. I also felt nauseated this morning and needed to take a zofran. So I’m dealing with the overwhelmed feeling by eating...since I doubt I’ll vomit!
Happy anniversary @PensiveCrayon For some reason there's nothing in the spoiler so I can't see your wedding dress. edit: it's working now, so beautiful!
Today is my daughter's first birthday and this has been me all day:
She was also the last baby (caboose baby) in my BMB, so we are all celebrating the fact that our babies are all toddlers
heres a gratuitous picture of her before I had to wake her up this morning in spoiler:
@Jens_Hoes I have the BMB caboose baby too! Confession: I sort of hate it But in any case, happy birthday to your daughter, and congrats on momming for a whole year The second year is all sorts of fun.
Over here, I dropped my son off at the CDC for four hours and am finally getting a writing morning at Panera. Clearly I'm not doing what I need to be doing, ha. Last time I left him all the babies in the room were crying and he started crying immediately, and it was sort of traumatic. This time he was too busy playing with the sink drain to even care that I was leaving. Better, I guess!

Just got bikini and pits waxed. IFL this feeling. The lady who does it is such a downer though - all she wants to do is talk about cancer because she knows about my mom and her dad beat cancer a few years ago. I know it's how she tries to be supportive, but sometimes it's like... please just wax my pubes and don't remind me
@runrinserepeat I've never had those parts waxed. Years ago I went all in and had several laser hair removal treatments for full Brazilian and the pits. Even though I need razors again, it was totally worth it. To this day each pit only produces about two hairs each, and downstairs is...patchy, haha. Maybe i'll spring for my first wax this fall.

I've heard such mixed things about laser hair removal. I want to try, but it seems so pricey for something that might not work well! I'm pretty okay with waxing - it doesn't really hurt, she makes sure she gets everything, and when it's over I smell like coconuts.
team laser hair removal over here. I have no hair (well maybe 5 total) on my lower legs, bikini or armpits. It’s so wonderful. I am pale AF and have dark hair so shaving all the time in the summer was time consuming and often caused me to get ingrown hairs and razor bumps. If you can do laser, do it!
Here’s a fun anecdote, not a treatment that I recommend! My father doesn’t have hair on his shins because in hs he played soccer & him and his friend would shave where they wore their shin guards. One day they got the great idea to steal someone’s sister’s Nair. They had no clue what they were doing and burnt all the hair off too much. The hair has never grown back...
@tumbleweed-1 I'm always SO jealous of people that Nair works on! My hairs are far too butch, Nair simply wets my hairs and makes me smell bad.
@Jens_Hoes I wish my lasering was that effective! I'll blame my not-so-paleness...but also very stout hair.
@runrinserepeat I wouldn't be able to afford it now, that's for sure! The place that I went to got me in via Groupon deal = $99 for armpits, ~six sessions. Once I was in they offered everything else half off -with optional no-interest payments- so I paid about $3,000 for the brazilian ...20 sessions I think. At that time DH and I were just dating and I had a high paying job and no mortgages. For some reason the treatments to the pits worked best, but I was warned of course that hair may grow back in places. I want to get my brazilian re-done, and my shins & ankles!

Quick complaint (not related to hair removal) - I just ate 1/3 of a burger too fast and feel like crap. I have been pretty averse to meat, but thought that LO should at least *try* a burger. Kind of regretting that decision I super hope this kid isn’t a picky eater, oy vey.

Being on this thread reminds me...I had a dream last night that I put Nair all over my scalp hair (y tho, Dream Pensive?) and thankfully it didn't all fall out, but the roots turned blonde, which was actually sort of cool. Ha!

You guys are all so impressive with all this being on top of hair removal stuff. Meanwhile, I'm over here getting fuzzier and fuzzier, and not even as a feminist voluntary rejection of beauty norms (I usually shower in the morning before work, and shaving would require me to get up a whole three minutes earlier so I don't do it unless for whatever reason I'm showering later in the day). Thank goodness for maxi skirts!
@AGK2015 I had only scheduled a bikini wax yesterday because I’m going to be at the pool all next week with the kids and it’s a jungle down there. While I was there, she saw my pit hair and offered to do those quick too since they were also out of hand. I’ve been so damn lazy.
NBR AW: so my high risk OB had me do an A1C test this week. Anything under 5.7 is "consistent with the absence of Diabetes". Well...I scored a 5!!! I'm still gestational diabetic of course, but I feel like this gives me so much more hope of not being Type 2 once baby is born!!! I'm so excited (plus today is my Friday) that I can't concentrate at work! Lol
@CecilB93 That's fantastic! Great news for a Friday-for-you
