Re: Symptoms w/o 5/28

  • Rhinitis is bad right now, mixed with amplified allergies, I go through Kleenex all day. Also starving. Like, ravenously want to eat all day.

  • @bfpafter4years - monistat never works for me. I always have to get diflucan.

  • @bfpafter4years chiming in on the Monostat never works for me camp.
  • Extreme dizziness. I probably need to drink more water. I'm craving all things lemon (I made lemon squares and lemon blueberry cake) but it all gives me wicked heartburn! Still having food aversions and it's ticking me off. We have a house full of food and I don't want any of it.
Cramps...all the cramps...might again be linked to needing more water. I felt the babies moving a lot a week or so ago, and movement for me started around 14ish weeks...but the last couple days I have felt nothing so I've been kind of worried. I've been busy lately for the first time since getting pregnant, really...hoping I didn't overdo it.

  • My doctor called in a prescription suppository for it but I have to take it for 7 days...yuck. I just hope this works. The itching is killing me.
  • @bfpafter4years Can you not take Diflucan? That stuff worked for me everytime quickly.

@lurvleybunchococonuts Sounds like something my DH would do also.  :p

  • I'm tired and can't remember names right now.

My nausea was on and off through 18 weeks with DD and then I still puked once a weekish through 24 or 25 weeks and had a freak day of nausea at 32 weeks.  I wouldn't worry about weirdly occuring nausea, pregnancy does weird things to your body!

I'm glad I'm not alone on the cramping.  I came here to ask and saw a few other people have been experiencing the same thing.  It's almost like dull period cramps but no bleeding or anything.  I know I'm probably dehydrated and thats contributing but it's good to see others are experiencing it too.

My bump has all but disappeared in the last day or two (I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow), even the part I couldn't suck in.  I'm sure it'll come back and I know that just means I'm not (as) bloated now, but it's freaking me out a little.

I mean, logically, I know that baby couldn't have disappeared (I'd surely have noticed at this point if he'd made an exit from my body somehow), but the irrational part of my brain keeps going "but what if..."

  • I get some cramping on and off too. Like so many other things in pregnancy I’m always like “well maybe it’s just indigestion...”

  • @FreeTheElf Last pregnancy my doctor said getting dizzy was due to not getting enough protein. She suggested adding a protein bar or shake to help, and to make sure to eat something every three hours or so throughout the day.
  • @msb11182018 Thanks, I'll try that! I've been so horrible about eating enough.

@FreeTheElf I've got terrible dizziness, too. Mine's from low blood pressure. Doctor said best thing for it is to drink lots and lots of water.

This week (14) my appetite seems to have disappeared. I'm rarely hungry and usually a very small snack will fill me right up. Huge contrast to the first trimester which I spent ravenous to the point of nausea and passing out if I didn't eat like every 30 minutes or so.
  • @bfpafter4years I don't have a YI, but I have noticed random itching.

Definitely TMI, but you ladies are the only people I have to talk to about it.

I have also noticed that I don't smell the way (down there) as I did prior to getting pregnant.  It's not a "BAD" smell, but it's different.  Not sure if it's the vitamins or what, but I am going to get checked out.  I did have a little bit of BV when I was in the FET process.  They gave me something and cleared it up within 24 hours.  Magic!  Anyone else notice a change in their discharge?

@amber1174 That’s very common. Your mucus membranes bulk up and you’ll probably notice a ton of discharge. It’ll change the scent a little. TMI I go through pantyliners all day long lol.
  • @Amber1174 I agree with @emjohn517 I've been using a lot of panty liners to help myself feel clean.
  • I feel like I’ve never been this hot in my entire life!!!  How am I gonna survive the summer?!
  • Thanks @emjohn517 and @jkmartin723. I was going stircrazy for a bit. I will continue with the pantyliners.

  • @Eveinshock same here! It's so hot (tripple digits already!) and it seems like I have such a small margin of temperatures I can tolerate. It's going to be a LONG summer.

  • +1on the cramping and sinus mucus. I swear by Neil med sinus rinse to help with congestion. I've upped it to twice a day now that allergies are in full bloom.
  • For ladies who are too hot....move to Canada....lol...summer is still pretty shy over here!

  • @EvilRaccoon so true. But I am looking forward to getting out of the single digits and getting a little heat lol.
  • @lurvleybunchococonuts thanks for the advice on the screen name change.... hoping this works.

So today I had a good amount of brown blood/ spotting...all dark brown and probably enough to fill a pantyliner. I called the OB and am going in tomorrow. Hoping it's nothing. Anyone else had this? I'm trying not to freak out.
  • @obsessedwithoranges I see your new screen name! I'm so sorry about the spotting. Any type of spotting is so scary in pregnancy. Usually brown spotting is nothing to worry about, and at this point in the pregnancy, it is probably just fine. I had some brown spotting, just a tiny bit, every once in a while for a couple of weeks. I had a small SCH that was bleeding out, so for me it was perfectly normal and fine. I'm glad your OB was able to fit you in tomorrow. Please keep us posted!

  • @offtoneverland thank you for the reassurance! I hadn’t had any bleeding at all until now and I’m about 15 1/2 weeks. Logical me is sure it’s just fine but then I googled which was the worst idea ever!
  • most unattractive symptoms-- sore nipples are back and I'm not loving how I'm smelling lately. Maybe it's my new natural deodorant but I feel like BO is starting to be real. so sexy!
  • @obsessedwithoranges sending positive vibes your way. Fx for good news from you tomorrow.
  • @obsessedwithoranges stay away from google! Bleeding can be caused by lots of (harmless) things or nothing at all. Keep us posted!

  • @eahayes if you’re just recently switching to natural, that’s normal! It took me several weeks for my body to detox and adjust to natural deodorant, but I promise I’m fine now. Though I’ll say it’s def possible for hormones to make you stink. It’s worse after birth, I remember needing my husbands man deodorant to get through the postpartum hormone drop!
  • @emjohn517 What kind of deodorant do you use? I started with one I hated (Pit Paste) but now I use the scented crystal deoderant and it works much better. Curious what types work for others.

  • @offtoneverland I love native brand but it’s a bit pricey. I’ve tried piper wai and thought it smelled like bug spray. Lately I’ve just been using Schmidt’s and I like it fine enough. It def rubs off on my shirts but if I wash them inside out it washes off. My brothers gf swears by the crystal deodorant though, I haven’t tried it yet but it’s on my grocery list to see if I like it better than Schmidt’s.

@eahayes I only use natural deodorants and sometimes when I feel extra stinky I do a armpit mask to help detoxify the sweat glands. I get the mask from sephora and it's made by the company that make Lavanila. It works wonders!

I have noticed that I've been stinkier recently and I think its the hormones.

I have used multiple natural deodorants and am allergic to most. Schmidt's is awesome but I'm allergic lol. Right now I used a spray from Waleda which works well but only lasts a few hours and it is expensive. The sucky part is that I live in Florida lol.

  • @eahayes I use natural deodorant too and have been stinky for weeks. I've found that I tend to sweat a lot at night when I'm pregnant, and I always wake up with BO.
  • Hi all. Wasn’t good news. Baby is measuring 11 weeks and died sometime between my 13 week appointment and now at nearly 16 weeks. I have a D&C scheduled tomorrow. I am in shock. Wishing you all well.
