We discussed in the weekend randoms the idea of doing a weekly ticker ex: All due dates Dec 1-7 would check in together, then the next week would check in together, so that you're checking in with people who are likely experiencing the same symptoms, doing the same appts, etc.
So I imagine the split would be Dec 1-7- Monday? Dec 8-14 - Tuesday? Dec 15-21 - Wednesday? Dec 22-28 Thursday? Dec 29-31? Friday?
Or the last group could be lumped in with 22-28? Or we could do 8 days (1-8, 9-16, 17-24, 25-31)? Thoughts?
I missed the original suggestion but I think this sounds like a great idea! I have very long work days and can’t seem to keep up with all the posts. Would be nice to have one place to keep up-to-date on with others in same stage. (Plus I have Monday’s off and I’m 12/1)
Just popping in to say I'm on board with this! Go us for being the paradigm-changers around here
Also, I forgot to mention in my appointment update that the nurse asked me if I wanted the NIPT today. I was still on the fence so I asked her how much it would be if insurance didn't cover it. She said she'd check the price and then never come back. So I guess that was what made up my mind not to have it done!

I'm totally down with the new check-ins, and I think 8 days would workout best. Plus, like @rosebud332 suggested, the Nov and Jan ladies can check-in with the groups closest to them.

I think 8 days sounds good and end of Nov/early Jan can jump in with the first and last groups. Should we have specific people start the threads or just whoever wants to start them can do it?

@coco2787 I think it would be easier if we had one person (who is great at coming up with prompts!) to start the threads for each group. Anyone want to nominate themselves for a particular group?!?!

I think it should be up to each group, but generally I would say the opposite. Assigning one person seems like too much responsibility (unless a particular person in a group is willing to do it, then that's fine). The people who are good at coming up with prompts are more likely to go ahead and start the threads themselves anyway.
Ok so then we can do in groups of eight or so. I guess if we still struggle with it in a few weeks we can adjust? @kristah2 do you want to change your Sunday ticker change into a December 1-8th check in? You can keep the questions and stuff the same but change the name and dates?
I agree about not assigning. Some days I'm more active on here because work is slow, others I have a hard time checking in early.
It looks like other BMBs start all the due date check-ins on the same day, but I have no preference one way or the other. It might be easier for people to remember if they just all get started on a Monday.

@Hollyyyyy there’s a link for the February BMB on the homepage on desktop but when you click on it it says “page not found”. The December page was up for almost 2 weeks before anyone could have even had a December BFP but it seems like there’s usually a delay.

The day of my NIPT blood draw the genetic counselor told us that the test was $299 OOP. Got a bill today from Sequenom for $1100 Guess I’ll be making some phone calls tomorrow.

@coco2787 definitely call! I just called my hospital where I had my er visit for spotting after receiving a ridiculous bill, and they knocked it down by $600. Call, complain (nicely), and if all else fails go full pregnancy hormonal with crying

For mine it was much cheaper if you did self pay. It is much more expensive if they go through insurance. I’m going with the expensive option, so I’ll be working on my deductible vs. the cheaper would have nothing going toward my deductible. Maybe that’s what happened in your situation?
Sorry to double post, but this dog. Usually, we have a mutual dislike but are tolerant of one another. She is my SO's dog through and through. She's part vizsla, which are known to be Velcro dogs, so she is usually his shadow. However, since about 5 weeks pregnant, she has become my shadow and is always by my side or at my feet. My other two dogs could care less about the pregnancy (one even seems more standoffish, as she's usually a love bug). But I have a new soft spot in my heart for this red dog who has elected herself my pregnancy supervisor.
@Activebaby it shouldn’t have even gone through my insurance since I knew and my doctors office knew that it wouldn’t be covered. I’m hoping they made some kind of mistake and it’ll be an easy fix because I do not have an extra $1000.

@coco2787 your furbaby is adorable! I don't blame you for crying if that's what it comes to. Fortunately for me it didn't come to that! Hopefully your situation is the same.
@coco2787 I had genetic testing done through Progenity a year or so ago, and got am unexpected $4,000 bill in the mail. My RE said to call them and tell them she (RE) said to give me a discount, so I did, and they lowered it down to $99. The hoops these companies make you jump through are such BS.
I actually made "dinner" tonight. Pretty proud of myself
@Hollyyyyy your dinner looks amazing. I should have thought of that while I was at the store earlier. At the time the only treat I wanted was oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and they just had oatmeal raisin, so I passed. Maybe I’ll go back out (it’s just a 10 min walk to the nearest grocery store) and get cheesecake.
@tumbleweed-1 Omg, have you been to Potbelly's sandwiches?! They have these HUGE oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and they're amazing. You gotta try it.
