I feel like crap today. Just total crap. I want to go home and sleep and not think about food that will make me feel sick. Not think about work and what I need to do. I just want to sleep for the next four weeks.
Thinking about pooping has never ever been a thing before pregnancy, and now if I'm not thinking about the baby, I'm thinking about pooping and dreaming of the days when I took it all for granted.
@sparkymcgeee and @leighbrek we're in the same boat. I am so nauseous. I've tried eveything: sea sick bands, ginger, water with lemon, Jolly Ranchers. I feel like I'm seasick 24 hours a day; it doesn't let up. I feel like I'm going to puke, but it never happens.
I managed to eat breakfast without feeling sick this morning and pooped for the first time in 4 days and was so psyched and thought: today is my day! But now I feel nauseous and tired again and I’ve already had my coffee allotment for the day. And it’s not even 9:30 here. Happy Monday.
I've been living off bacon egg and cheese bagels from McDonalds.... I just went to a McDonalds in another town and they said they stop making bagel at 10AM and I started crying at the drive thru window.
Someone on FB posted a video showing how to make spaghettios popsicles and I gag every time I see it. People keep commenting so it keeps jumping to the top of my feed.

@blueowl08@galactickates it was posted by one of DH’s fraternity brothers. He loves posting what he refers to as “extreme drunk food”. If his kids weren’t so freaking cute I would have unfriended him over this.

Nauseau has just kicked in HARD! Vomited today at work into a sink in a closet before teaching 9th graders; said vomiting was through both mouth and nose.
Something must be in the air today! I haven’t had bad nausea at all. Then today, the most important day of the month at work where I have a bunch of tight deadlines due before noon I couldn’t stop throwing up all morning. I’ve never been more miserable.
Already got into an argument with my mom over sleep training. She thinks the reason DD isn’t a good sleeper is because I waited too long to CIO and I need to do it by 8 weeks this time which I am against. Of course she doesn’t agree that DD’s MSPI had a big impact on her ability to sleep and when I tried a lot of the things she suggested with DD and they didn’t work. She just says I didn’t do it right.
But my sister sleep trains really early and her kids are good sleepers so she says it obviously works.
@pttomato CIO at 8 weeks seems really early to me. I didn't sleep train until 6 months and my kids are pretty good sleepers. I'm sorry she is comparing you to your sister. I would find a polite way to tell her to STFU

I was away at a conference for work all last week, came back today, and discovered that my colleagues are still the grumpy, selfish complainers they were before I left. HOW RUDE
My wife and I have conceived a babe with my body and frozen donor sperm through IUI, with medication support (clomid, ovidrel, and injections of progesterone) IUI #1, #2, and #3: Dec 2017, Jan 2018, and Feb 2018 - all BFN HSG Test: April 2018 - all clear! Someone microwaved fish in the kitchen today. I sincerely thought that only happened in bad sitcoms. It was just as terrible as you can imagine. Shout out to my coworker who sprayed febreze up and down the hallway.
This morning I got my first real wave of nausea. Watery mouth, food aversion, the works. So I’m going about my day trying to ignore it, eating a light snack & drinking some ginger tea while on a conference call... and my boss - sitting 3 inches from my food and cup of tea - STARTS CLIPPING HIS FINGERNAILS. Omg I almost lost it right then and there. Nails clippings flying everywhere. Mean mugged him meaningfully and moved my food and tea to the opposite side of the desk. Seriously, why me???
I hate dealing with insurance. Just tried to fill a prescription for metformin the first time on our new (supposedly top notch) health insurance plan. Apparently because I take the extended release tablets, they need prior authorization. My doctor needs to justify why I need the XR version. Meanwhile, I took this drug for 3 years using my old crappy insurance, and only had a $5 co-pay.
In the meantime, I'm paying $58 damn dollars for 5 pills while my new insurance gets its $#!+ together.
@AshVA you & me both. Ughhhh!!! Seriously. Every time I talk to them, I have trust issues. Different reps say different things and no one has it together. Sorry you have to deal w this mess!
@AliKay20 I despise how opaque insurance policies are. It's impossible to get anything but the most basic plan descriptions up front. Even after you sign a policy, they never send a comprehensive list of documents that explains every nuance of coverage. There's always some internal document that purports to limit the coverage for one thing or another. I'm a contracts lawyer; I want all the terms and conditions up front!
@blueowl08 fish in the microwave should just not be allowed in the workplace. I've only had it happen once at work where someone warmed up fish and the whole lunch room smelled for the rest of the day.

I hate insurance companies.
This is more common than you think sadly and it’s because the drug manufacturers set their prices so high even on certain generics. The metformin extended release (brand names: glumetza and fortamet) can cost $$$$/month to the insurer. The generic extended release of glucophage is much less costly but doesn’t come in 1000mg strength. Compared to the non-extended release which is practically pennies a day...
Hopefully it’ll all get worked out for you! In a perfect world, doctors should be able to prescribe what they think is best regardless of the cost to the patient and insurer.
My DH decided he wants to do the keto diet. So he gets up early to cook a bunch of meat... which of course he burns and sets off the smoke alarm. Great way to wake up. Also now the whole house smells like burned meat. Great for nausea.
Today I got $160 bill from the insurance company for my routine screening lab work for the hepatitis and HIV screening and whatever else they test for I don't remember having to pay for this at all with my first pregnancy and so far I already have gotten $200 in bills from my doctor's office and insurance company I don't understand how so much changes and two years. We did switch insurance providers at work but I work for a hospital and that is where I'm going to get all this testing done I don't understand how it's not covered. It's so annoying

Define "works." I have a SIL who did CIO, too. And yes, her kids did sleep through the night way earlier than mine. But frankly mine are smarter and more talented than hers. (And it's not just me saying that; other family have noticed too because we have kids the same age; we were pregnant at the same time for our first 2.) Maybe it's that CIO from a young age traumatized her kids and contributed to their issues, or maybe smarter more ambitious children are just less likely to sleep through the night at a young age. I did what worked for my family and my children, and you should do what works for your family and your children.
@drabong88 I got my global bill for my OB ( appts, ultrasounds, delivery, and PP check up) and its literally 4x more than it was with DD two years ago. Yes we changed from Blue Cross of Alabama to BC of Illinois but seriously? How does that count for 4x the price??
I wish the bump allowed the option to ignore a whole thread. It's annoying seeing the same old thread get bumped with new notifications I don't feel like reading. The OCD part of me can't handle the 1 new notification without clicking on it to go away. I try really hard to resist... but I always give in....
I refresh the page to see my cleaned up screen and someone else has posted. The cycle starts over again. Madness.
