@harleyquinn0621 I also don't feel prepared.  DH wants to wait until after the shower to buy furniture and it's making me anxious.

    How far along are you?
    28w3d

    Why are you high-risk?
AMA, RPL, partial/marginal placenta previa, marginal hypertension (though now it's been very low), and GD

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Friday-ultrasound to check placenta location (fingers crossed we've created some distance between it and the cervix); also follow up with OB about GD management.  I had two weeks to try with diet and exercise, we will see if the team thinks I've been successful and what the next plan of action is.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
We are having record breaking heat and I'm going to lose it.  If it's this bad in May how the hell do I make it in July and August.  Seriously, WTF

Rave--my mom had the opportunity to travel to Scandanavia, she brought the baby such and adorable sweater.

GTKY: What time in history would you like to go back and see?
I have not really thought about it.  I'm sure almost every era would be interesting in some way.  Given my prior career in sign language interpreting, it might be very cool to go back and see the first school for the deaf open (American School for the Deaf in Conn).

Why are you high-risk? I'm old and diabetic

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Growth scan on Friday - I think they're going to start 2x month scans after this one, then normal OB appt on Monday

Rants/Raves/Questions? Just can't believe we're hitting 3rd tri! We went to Babies R Us this weekend to knock out a few things that we need for baby so we got some crib sheets, a changing table thing and changing table pads. We still need a monitor so I'm debating if we should go back this coming weekend.

GTKY: What time in history would you like to go back and see? Ooooh, tough one! I would say I'd like to spend a week in the 1950s - gimme all the poodle skirts and saddle shoes lol!

Lots of exciting appointments this week! @harleyquinn0621 - good luck at your cerclage check! I'll keep my fingers crossed that there hasn't been any change since your last one!
@Stac928 - Good luck with your placenta check, I hope it moved! Also keep us posted on what your doc says about your GD management plan! All the fingers crossed you can manage with diet and exercise!

@mrsbubbles-2 I’m can’t believe we are in third trimester either. It’s crazy. Now I’m feeling pressure to get things done.

My OB mentioned more frequent growth scans coming up. Hopefully yours will go well!

    Why are you high risk?
    high AFI

    Additional testing/monitoring this week?
    No

    Rants-
I have 2 mosquito bites and panicking about Zika despite knowing it's unlikely.

    Raves-
Finally found out I passed the GTT!

    GTKY-
I can't think of anything specific.. I like the Disney world answer above though!

    @harleyquinn0621 @Stac928 @mrsbubbles-2

Why are you high-risk? AMA, 2 MC's, removed uterine septum, cerclage

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Going in for my dreaded 3 hour glucose test tomorrow. Womp womp.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not excited about the test tomorrow, but know I need to get it over with. Had a bit of cramping this morning that didn't go away so I got concerned and called the doc. She thinks it's just RLP and i Need to take it easy and drink a lot of water. So i'll probably be sprawled out on the couch for the rest of the night.

GTKY: What time in history would you like to go back and see?
Oh man - so many! Like Ancient Egypt, the Renaissance, Victorian England... basically any time but now :)

    @harleyquinn0621 @mrsbubbles-2 @stac928
Good luck ladies!! Keep us updated how it all goes!
  • How far along are you?
    29 weeks and 3 days

    Why are you high-risk?
Baby was diagnosed with congenital heart defect  (TGA with a ASD) during my 20-week ultrasound.

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
No testing/monitoring. We did met with surgical team and I met lactation consultant.  Both were great meetings and gave me hope about the situation.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Just feeling tired at the end of the day. Having to pee a lot and chasing my 3 year old all day.

I wouldn’t mind going to the 1950s because I like the clothes.
  • @Meggiebeans so glad the meetings went well!

cerclage check today... i continue to shorten but the MFM basically said it's expected at this point so they are not going to do any further checks... but next week they are going to do a 28 week growth scan .. and then from there it's just appointments with my regular OB .... i think after my next appointment on 06/14 they switch from once a month to biweekly

  • Update: placenta hasn’t moved, we will keep monitoring but looks like c-section between 36-37 weeks.

Im on insulin now. And doing a 24 hour urine catch, there was protein in my urine. So even though my blood pressure is beautiful they are worried about pre-eclampsia.

So we are ginna try for every complication possible in one pregnancy.

  • @Stac928 rough news :( sorry to hear!
have you had any bleeding so far with the previa?
  • @hopeful91 no bleeding

Most of my complications are pretty asymptomatic. No high blood pressure, no prior signs of blood sugar issues.

    Guess I’m just special :-/
