  • @jens_hoes Word. I’ve had that regret this weekend too.

  • My allergies are killing me, and my mind is in a fog from having the last 5 days off of work. Thank God I have a 4 day work week, because I'm barely hanging on. I've only been at work for 2.5 hours.

I busted out the maternity clothes tub.  Plan wait until 12 weeks will very likely fail.

Yeah, I’ve totally been enjoying my maternity pants. Sure I’m mostly the same size, but they make such a huge difference when sitting. I wonder how long I’ll wear mat pants PP?

  • @echo-charlietango You may be surprised. I swore I was never going back to regular pants but once the baby was out I wanted to distance myself from those damn full panels as soon as possible. (Also the sudden lack of belly made them slip down a lot more.) I ended up buying a larger size of cheap jeans at Target to get me through. This was still while I was in Utah, so probably only a week after A was born.

Now, though, I’m surprised by how positive toward them I feel again. So nice to let the flub hang out.

  • WHY do people post those stupid polls on their IG stories?! I always tap thru them too fast, and end up accidentally voting on them. I just voted thumbs down on someone's outfit :#
  • @Hollyyyyy IG has polls now? Oy vey. I have no patience for that platform. Sorry that folks don’t take one second to notify others of upcoming story participation! Also sorry that adults lack the confidence to pick their own outfits.

(PS, my outfit today is probably thumbs-down worthy, but it is comfortable, so anyone who doesn’t like it can just suffer/look away :grimace:)

  • @echo-charlietango You're not wrong. I have seen them when the poster is involved in some sort of MLM/Pyramid Scheme, like "Are you interested in Beach Body?" "Want to know more about Essential Oils?" Otherwise it seems to be more for fishing for compliments (hence the outfit poll) :| Stupid.
  • @Hollyyyyy Yikes, I have not seen those - I only used IG for two weeks before I was fed up with everybody's cries for attention and "OMG look at my baby" when I was struggling to conceive. Luckily I have enough MLM friends on FB that I don't need to go far at all for the fishing. Uuuugghhh. Remember when photos were shared without prior staging and advanced editing? Those were the days.

  • I use IG more than Facebook. I never update the apps though so I don’t think I have polls yet lol. Honestly I like just the pictures way more than the comments and articles and fakenews on Facebook.

I don't understand the point of stories on Instagram or Facebook in general.  Like what exactly is the point?  If you're gonna make a story out of something, why not just make a regular post?

@runrinserepeat I prefer IG as well. I have FB, but literally have not posted on it for probably over 5 years. I keep it since it's linked to my Candy Crush account (lol), and I have a ton of industry contacts on there.

@CecilB93 Thanks for the tip that Coco is on Netflix! I need to watch it. I'm actually currently working with one of the cultural consultants for the movie and haven't admitted to not seeing the movie.  Ha.

    @PensiveCrayon what a productive day!

  • @PensiveCrayon Can you come to my house and be that productive??

Also, my car died this morning.  I cried a lot (could have put this in why my pregnant self is crying or Tuesday TW). I just paid this damn thing off in March.  My husband knows about cars, so he tried to reassure me that it could be something quick and easy.  I on the other hand, believe that it is likely something expensive and time consuming, because that is my life. I will now be looking for a new car online today.
  • @deutschmama safe travels!! That's awesome you'll be home for a solid chunk of time! I went to Spain a couple years ago for two weeks and I didn't realize how much I miss hearing people speak English around me! Enjoy your time!
  • @deutschmama I hope you have an amazing month back home!! How much longer are you going to be in Germany? Will you be having baby over there? Safe travels!

@AdorkablePixie I think it called inside out?

@PensiveCrayon I am praying for the day I am productive like that again. I can’t stand the list of things I need to do getting so long but I just can’t manage.

@deutschmama hope you have safe travels and wonderful visit home!
  • @CecilB93 I saw Coco not pregnant and cried like a baby.

@hkom I don't get IG stories either.  They have them on FB now too.  I never watch them, just make it a regular post!

  • @AdorkablePixie @Llynde5 yes, it's called Inside Out! I love that movie. DH hates it because sadness makes him angry.. which is ironic.

@echo-charlietango your watermelon fancy drink hit the spot for me last night. Thanks again for sharing I'm excited to try more!

I put some Jergens Natural Glow on this morning in hopes to look a little less ghostly for the beginning of our wedding season next week and I smell like crap. What instant tanning lotions don't small bad?

  • Yes, Inside Out! I can't remember if I cried, I may have teared up at some point. Cute movie!

@Coco2787 if you watch it, have tissues ready! It really does have a happy ending, but the leading up to the ending is really deep.

  • @AdorkablePixie We watched Inside Out when I was working at a school and I totally cried.  I was not pregnant either.  I also cried while watching Waiting for Superman at school.  And also while we were on a field trip to the Holocaust Museum.  Those kids saw me cry a lot.

  • @kadeephd I totally didn't even expect to cry. My DH wasn't there, thank goodness. lol I'd love to visit the Holocaust museum one day.

  • @PensiveCrayon nice work! I folded half a load of laundry yesterday and was ready to be done. Lol, I guess I need to step it up!

@kadeephd Waiting for Superman just made me really angry. I watched it years ago, so I don’t remember all of the details, but it just felt like, to me, that they didn’t offer any solutions to make public schools actually work. It was just advertising vouchers and private schools.
  • @tumbleweed-1 I am not  a proponent of school choice so I put off watching it for a long time.  I was forced to at school.  I cried because of how we are failing these kids.

  • Too lazy to scroll back but thanks for the tip on Coco! I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my list.

Also re: yesterday's productivity, I actually googled whether there's such a thing as mild bipolar disorder and there is but I've concluded that I don't have it. I think it's just comes down to the fact that one of my first-trimester symptoms is lack of motivation to do anything. Same thing happened last time around. Fun!
