@laurad75 If you do end up on supplements, try the ferrous gluconate. It was recommended by an OB at my practice for being better absorbed and not causing as much constipation - she said that's all we need

Wanted to share one thing with you all, I ended up getting a second very cheap cell phone a couple weekends ago. My husband got it online and it was like $25 for the phone and a penny per call and a couple cents per text. My husband had to reset my cell phone the other day and then he went out for like 5 hours with friends. He assumed that it would turn back on but it didn't. I tried to use skype to call him and my mom and it didn't work at all. I left messages from skype and they didn't get them until the next day. My husband wasn't paying attention to his emails like he was supposed to because he was distracted and couldn't call me back anyway. My mom wasn't expecting an urgent email from me and hung up on any skype numbers because they seemed like spam. We have no land line and my husband had his phone with him. I was not in a state to drive after surgery and I then had a major panic attack. I knew it was only a few hours but I realized that my only other option if something wasn't right was to go next door to a neighbor's house. If I was in pain or bleeding or scared and crying, this obviously wouldn't be fun to walk that far and then scare and sneak up on them like that.
Long story short, everything was fine, but I was pretty frazzled. It all worked out fine and nothing happened but we now have a plan b and c in place for communication. Especially since I have the cerlage and then will be going into 3rd trimester soon. So plan B is obviously the backup burner cell phone and my mom and her boyfriend and my husband all have the number programmed in their phones so they know who it is. Plan C is the google home which can make calls out even if my phone completely shut off. I also plan on probably telling some neighbors that I am pregnant soon, just in case. I don't really want to because then I have to discuss so I'll wait until the very end to do that and see if necessary. My mom said in the old days this is what they did so you had someone around to help if need be.
I am also planning on starting a hospital bag soon too. I figure it wouldn't hurt much and I've had a little practice with this before. But that way I am prepared and it's one less thing to have on my mind.
I haven't been able to take my 21 week bumpdate photo yet (I was 21 weeks Sunday) my husband has been out of town.... so here is mine from from last week!

Guess what you guys!?!! This morning I woke up down about 3 lbs! I really haven't even been doing anything all that differently; I fully believe my body is just doing what it needs to do to grow this baby. But now at least as I approach 25 weeks tomorrow, it's got me at more like a half a pound a week average gain since my 20-week appointment, not the <i>pound and a half average,</i> that it looked like at my 24 week appointment, because of this one stupid randomly high weight that day. :/
