Hi all, I'm nearing the end of the second trimester and have been thinking about getting a maternity support belt. Some of them look like medieval torture devices that in no way will look good under clothes, and the ones that look the least insulting I'm afraid might not be supportive enough. I'm having decent hip pain and have read that some support would distribute the weight a little better and not make me feel like I'm 80

Has anyone gotten one that they really love that also works under clothes?
Re: Maternity belt - anyone tried/loved/want to recommend?
When I did use it, it gave some decent support and fit under clothes nicely. It's -not- a true support belt; it's mostly for holding up clothes and body shaping, but it did help out some during my 2nd tri.

My job occasionally requires me to stand for hours at a time and this helped with the back pain. Also, I had gestational diabetes so I went on a brisk 15 min walk after lunch and wearing this avoided getting Braxton Hicks contractions.

Especially during my 8th and 9th month! I used it earlier on but was nervous it was squishing the baby as well and realized I really didn't need it. Bigger I got more u wanted to put it on. At home I just hold the bottom of my belt as opposed to wearing it as I don't like sitting with it on personally! And I wear it over my clothing as well, my pants anyway and my shirt covers it with no problem...but u do need a longer shirt
