How big is baby? a tic-tac!

Symptoms? So tired and nauseous. And bitchy. And emotional. I just want my normal routine back.

R/R/Q: Anything sweet or greasy now tastes repugnant. FML. I tried to eat a donut for breakfast (picked them up b/c FIL is in town). Cream stick tasted great going in, and I've now spent the last hour trying to keep it down. I had what should have been a delicious burger and fries from a great local chain yesterday and felt so sick I had to take a 3 hour nap. Had to eat vegetables for dinner to settle my stomach.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late? Early. Always early.

    How big is baby? Blueberry

Symptoms? Just tired and nauseated but not to the point of vomiting but just feel ehhh

R/R/Q I felt super accomplished this weekend and got a lot done but paid for it last night. I was so tired and crampy that I basically just balled up in bed and passed out. So half Rant/Rave from getting shit done but being too tired after

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
According to my husband, late. But really that means I am right on time which is in a way running late. I have this thing where I am either walking in the door right on time or I'm like 30 minutes early with nothing to do

  • @catlady2015 I'm kind of jealous that greasy food is unappealing because it's all I want to eat right now and I know long term that is very bad. But at the same time I know how brutal the nausea and feeling sick are and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. FX it doesn't stick around.

How far along are you? 7 + 3

How big is baby? The size of an uncooked elbow macaroni.

Symptoms? I just feel generally sick. My stomach is unhappy if I don't eat enough or if I eat too much. but it's more like an angry digestive feeling than nausea. I am randomly nauseous and gagging throughout the day. I'm repulsed by vegetables and chicken and basically want greasy carbs all day. I always used to hate when people said this but I genuinly do like 5 months pregnant by the end of each day because of bloat. And the constipation / thirst is out of control. Oh and I go to bed at like 7pm.

R/R/Q Just ready for my next appointment. I have to wait an extra day (Wednesday at a different office this week) and the wait seems like it's taking FOREVER. I feel like if I see a good HB and baby measuring close to on track this week I might finally be able to relax a little.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
I used to always be early but since DD I would say I run more on time or occasionally late!

How big is baby? size of a M&M

Symptoms? MS bad. Not vomiting (well, exactly once), but have absolutely no interest in eating.

R/R/Q U/S appointment this Friday, which I'm pretty excited/nervous about.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
I am always early. I joke it's the German in me that if I'm not 10 minutes early I feel like I'm running late.

    How big is baby?

    A blueberry

    Symptoms?

    Nausea, exhaustion

    R/R/Q

I was volunteered to take our new summer associates to lunch today. Today also happens to be the worst nausea day I've had so far. This is going to be super fun  :/

GTKY: Are you usually early or late

I try to be early, but with traffic in the DMV I'm mostly late.

    How big is baby? Blueberry

Symptoms? So I was jumping in the shower last night and I’m pretty sure one of my nipples doubled in size during the day! It was nuts. Also bloating, gassy, and tired. Nausea seems to have subsided a bit the past couple of days.

    R/R/Q:

GTKY: Are you usually early or late? Early or right on time. I hate being late!

How big is baby? A jelly bean

Symptoms? All day nausea and fatigue. I felt terrible on Saturday and did nothing but rest and go for a short walk with DH and our pup. DH told me I was white as a ghost all day. Probably the worst I’ve felt so far. Thank goodness that was on a weekend.

R/R/Q  I went to a parade last week and a motorcycle cop waived in my direction. I burst into tears, sobbing: he seems so nice. Damn hormones!

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
I am early unless it’s something I dread going to. Then I will push it to the last minute. Thanks social anxiety! :)
  • How far along are you?
I’m measuring ahead so I’m 8 weeks 2 days. Puts me in late December but I’ll play here anyway! *see post in ultrasound*

    How big is baby?
    Raspberry

    Symptoms?
    Everything!

    R/R/Q
Rave: My OB was able to get me in today for an ultrasound. My principal was also super accommodating and found coverage for my class
Rant: I’m tired, cranky, and want school to be over.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
    Early!

    How big is baby? jellybean

Symptoms? I started bleeding again today after only working for an hour. I am on pelvic rest until further notice and I'm taking that as " light duty" as well.
My belly button has become flat against my stomach. I don't remember when this happened with DD but I know it wasn't this soon.

    R/R/Q: Id it Friday yet??

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
I was always 5 minutes late until I had a job that made us be there 15 minutes before our shift, so now I'm always early.
  • How far along are you?
7+5 (but measured 7+0 at a last minute ultrasound today)
    How big is baby?
    Still tiny
    Symptoms?
Ugh. Pretty constant nausea. Irritable. Bloated. Super strong smeller but everything smells like garbage or throw up. Feeling crappy lately.
    R/R/Q
had some cramping and spotting this morning so they got me in for an ultrasound. Heartbeat was slow but she said it was probably just because it’s still early. I go back next Thursday for another ultrasound.
@sfgiantsgamerbabe also very ready for school to be out! 14 more days here!

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
Early. Except for the first few months after DD was born when we were always running late. But now we’re in a good groove and back to bring early. (If you’re early, you’re on time; if you’re on time you’re late : ) )

    How far along are you?
    7w4d.
    How big is baby?
The size of a playing die.
    Symptoms?
Queasiness is back after taking a week off. I feel like I need to be constantly snacking all morning to make myself feel better.
    R/R/Q
Rant: I'm starting to try to navigate the Boston daycare options and it's already so overwhelming.  I can't believe I have to start putting my name on waiting lists before I've even seen a doctor! I feel like I can't even be picky about quality, I'm just beholden to whoever is semi-convenient and has openings. My sister put her name on a ton of waitlists in her second trimester. Her baby is ten months now and she still hasn't heard back from most of them!
Rave: My husband has lowkey been taking great care of me. He cooks dinner AND cleans up every night and has been encouraging me to go on walks with him through the park since I've been complaining about not having the motivation to exercise. He's a gem!
GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
I'm pretty adamant about being exactly on time with a 5 minute range in either direction depending on what I'm going to.

  • How far along are you? 7+2

    How big is baby? Altoid

Symptoms? Nausea, but fortunately no vomiting yet. (Knock on wood!) Definitely have to eat a lot of small meals since I can't seem to stomach as much at once as I used to. Boobs are feeling tender and heavier, and my areolas are taking over my whole boob.

R/R/Q I've had cheesy pasta twice in the last two days (mac and cheese from Panera and some lasagna) and both made me feel gross after I ate them, which sucks because I love mac and cheese. I'm definitely noticing that foods I used to be able to eat no problem, like greasy, fatty foods, now make me nauseous. I guess it's good that it's forcing me to eat healthier but I'm not happy about it.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
I used to be late for everything but I'm getting better. DH hates to be late! He was always late to everything growing up because of his family so now he likes to be early, so I've had to learn how to be early too. (I'm still almost always late for work, though. Oops.)

@Ghostie When I was pregnant with my daughter, I handled "healthy" stuff so much better, especially during the 1st tri, than my normal go to greasy foods. I think strawberries and lemons and anything tart-y were my go to!

How big is baby? No idea

Symptoms? Ugh, I'm miserable. I feel sick all day and all night. It's like this weird mix between over-full, repulsed by food, random nausea, and always a gag sitting in my throat waiting to make me dry heave. Smells make me want to cry. I basically had all the above and a headache/migraine all weekend plus I did nothing but lay on the couch and nap and then go to bed early for 3 days. And still SO COLD. I've waited so long for this so I don't want to complain,  but holy shit, I feel awful. My boobs hurt like a MOFO and they've gotten so big my bras are so tight that I can't breathe.

    R/R/Q I got nothing.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
    Late. Always late.

@kaf1788 DC is that bad too!  We got on a waitlist the same week we found out we were expecting. I still want to do some more research into a couple more to get on too since that was very rushed. It’s insane!!  I know so many people that get nannies so they don’t have to deal with it.

The size of a face on a d20 dice!
    Symptoms?
Constant NAUSEA. Exhaustion, heartburn, you name it.
    R/R/Q
Rant: No one showed up to my 11 year old's birthday party after having at least 12 RSVP, and making sure everything was ready and setup. It pissed me off and broke my heart for him at the same time.
GTKY: Are you usually early or late?

How big is baby? Raspberry?  Micro chameleon, playing die...

Symptoms? Exhausted, nipples hurt, I feel like I'm going to vomit constantly.

    R/R/Q I just want a nap.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
Pre kids, early.  Post kids, late.  Almost always.

How far along are you? ~8 weeks

    How big is baby? Raspberry

Symptoms? nausea & vomiting. The only thing palatable is really bland carbs. Extreme exhaustion. Sore breasts. VERY sensitive to smells. Just all the things....

R/R/Q I found an empty floor in my office building that has a couch that I sneak up to during lunch and take a nap on. That's literally the only thing holding my life together right now. Well that and my saint of a husband that literally does everything while I lay on the couch all evening.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
I am always rushing around like I'm late but somehow typically make it just barely right on time.
  • KLS123KLS123 member
@kaf1788mrsmang  Ugh same here in Houston. Is it normal for them to require a fee just to get on the waitlist?
  • mrsmangmrsmang member
@KLS123 we had to put down $150. And even if we never got a spot we never get it back. And that was just for one place. We will probably have to get on a couple more to be safe. Eek!
  • @DarkSerendipity Oh my God that breaks my heart too! Did anyone let you know why they didn’t show after they rsvp’d? That’s awful I’m so sorry

@KLS123 the majority of places here charge to put you on a waitlist. I understand why they’d do it but its so annoying. It’s not like I can just bank on getting into any one daycare so I have no choice but to pay the fee for multiple places.
  • @DarkSerendipity oh my gosh I am so sorry! How sad. I hate when people back out on commitments like that! I hope he enjoyed his day anyway.

    How big is baby? Macaroni

Symptoms? Just sensitive boobs and fatigue. Was experiencing mild nausea awhile ago, but not really anymore. Trying not to worry about that!

R/R/Q So excited to be on vacation in San Francisco right now! But really wishing I could indulge in my absolute favorite west coast indulgences of sashimi, raw oysters, and crafty beers.

GTKY: Are you usually early or late?
Early for sure, usually 15 minutes at least. This has something to do with my husband who is a professional musician and has to be early to every performance, or else!!
  • @green_olive what instrument does your husband play? My DH played the French horn in a couple local orchestras.
  • @gorgeousariel How wonderful! So you must know a thing or two about the obsessive earliness of musicians  ;) My DH plays the cello, freelances all over NYC.

@kaf1788 @mrsmang yup most places around here charge a non-refundable $100-$200 to get on the wait list. Good to know that seems fairly standard but is annoying nonetheless.
