    I know this thread is old but I finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo over the course of three days and it was great, in case anyone is considering it! Looking for some recommendations, has anyone else has read anything great lately?

    @cm716 I went to school in Shaker with Celeste Ng for middle and part of high school. There's been a lot of Shaker pride around that book!

    @ginny_203 have you read The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah? I haven’t yet but have heard from a few people that it’s really good!

    @firsttimespartanmom yes I finished that right before my last book! Also loved The Nightingale by her. Maybe I should look into the other books she's written.

    I don't read those types of books very often. :( Have you read the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society? It's historical fiction and I loved it. I read Lilac Girls recently too, which was pretty good. It was about WWII concentration camps, and I totally judged the book by its pretty purple flowery cover, and I did not expect it to be as disturbing as it was. But perhaps you would enjoy it if it's your style.
