We had our 10 week ultra sound yesterday (should have been graduation from our RE). Unfortunately they did not find a heart beat. Baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks 2 days right after our last ultrasound. So we were diagnosed with a missed miscarriage. It's been a rough 24 hours.
It will be at least 2 months before we can try again. We have one snowbaby left so we may try another retrieval before transfer.
@ChristenMA83, words cannot express my sorrow for you, that is such a horribly painful thing to have to go through. There's no getting over it, but I do hope you're able to push on and keep moving forward.
@kristimh80 excited for your ERA cycle and I hope it provides the answer you need.

@wishing-and-hoping I’m all for the talking to all body parts and gametes at all stages! Can’t do any harm!!!
QOTW Well mostly my rose bushes and butterfly bush. The rose bushes are extremely high maintenance. They can have more than a hundred flowers at a time during peak months! Otherwise we don’t have much as we are planning a complete re landscaping this summer. Because back to back IVF banking cycles is not enough stress
Otherwise currently priming. And Oh. My. God. The estrogen is kicking my butt. I put a new patch on every two days and I spend 8 hours feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck. I am sooooo tired. I never felt such extreme tiredness. Luckily we should finish on Sunday so 5 days and counting. This priming had better bloomin work!!!

QOTW: Gardening is my zen. Nothing much is growing yet since we are pretty far north but I will start planting this weekend! Mostly veggies and herbs.
*** TW pregnancy mentioned***
So an update on me. I'm 6 weeks PG tomorrow. I don't want to jinx anything (and it feels weird writing this here) but so far so good on all fronts. I wanted to write this update because I remember multiple times during our journey googling whether someone could get pregnant naturally after so many months of infertility (multiple googles happened at 12 months, 15, 18, 24, etc). So I want to say that yes you can. Unless you or your partner have a problem where they tell you there is zero chance of conceiving there is always a chance. I think this is especially true in circumstances like ours where we had unexplained IF. And while I will feel much better saying I've "graduated" from this board after another 6 weeks, I am feeling incredibly lucky right now. A month ago I was worried that I would have no viable eggs for IVF. Our RE literally told me that my ovaries were like an old watch that doesn't keep proper time anymore (all based on low AMH and what he interpreted as too fast follicle development). It's really easy to feel hopeless (and I did every month, every AF, every BFN) but there's always hope.
The only thing I could say that I "changed" was that I was being fairly strict with my diet per health team's recommendations. I cut out almost all sugar and dairy (including things I used to eat alot of like yogurt). I was eating an almost entirely plant based diet except a small protein of lean meat at dinner (more or less). But I can't say that this made the difference or not because I have had a healthy diet for the last 2.5 yrs so not sure if this really changed anything.
I'm a bit frustrated that because it was outside of treatment plan, we can't get into a Dr. for any additional testing until the end of the month. Fx!
** End TW***
I plan on lurking by the board in the coming weeks. I'm sending you all love and hope as you continue on this journey. xoxoxo

@ChristenMA83 I'm so sorry for your loss, that is just so unfair FX to everyone, it sounds like there is a lot of action on everyone's treatment plans at the moment. Hope the symptoms settle down quickly. Afm bloods should that I successfully O'd last week, so now I keep on waiting and hoping. Qotw - weeds, my garden is almost exclusively weeds. Vaguely considered getting out there last weekend but my shoulder is stuffed atm so seemed like a good excuse not to
@ChristenMA83 I am so sorry for you. Sending lots of love and hugs
QOTW: Nothing growing much yet.
1. How long have you been TTC? 16 months for number 1 2. What is your diagnosis? Nothing yet. Got a call from the fertility clinic saying that there is a 6 to 8 month wait.
Thank you all for the kind words. It's weird, this is the first time since December that I have been free of all medication and hormones. It is startling how much more energy I have - I guess I forgot what my normal body balance felt like. This is also the first time since December that I didn't have a timeline to look forward too since we're in the waiting for my body to regulate stage. This is a frustrating place to be for me so I'm going to have to find some completely unrelated stuff to focus on.
We go on vacation next week which will be a nice distraction. However we are renting a house with three of my oldest friends and their families (including 5 children under 5). They all know our current situation and will do their best to be sensitive I'm sure...but I know there will be challenging moments.
@be08ryan & @kiwieloping a big congrats to you both. Kiwi, your post was very uplifting and hope-inspiring.
@wishing-and-hoping fingers crossed for your IVF. Keep on encouraging little embryo.
@ChristenMA83 that is interesting about your hormones going on a re-set. I started an infertility therapy program yesterday and we talked a lot about losing my sense of what is "normal" for me. It's hard to remember at this point what my hormones used to be like and also what it felt like to not be mentally/emotionally consumed by something all the time. I hope your vacation is free of difficulty and that you're able to have some "you" time apart from others and their little ones if that's what you need. Let me know if you come up with anything particularly distracting... I need more of that in my life.

I 100% hear you on your body feeling different without all the meds and hormones. I'm not on anything right now, and I just feel so different. Like, even mentally. But maybe that's because I'm not dealing with the active stress of doing a treatment?
@wishing-and-hoping - I'm jealous of all your herbs! FX for your results from this IUI!
@emmasemm - sounds like the roses must be pretty nice though! Hoping the priming makes your bloom like those roses! ;-P
@kiwieloping - CONGRATULATIONS!! Great news!!! That is awesome news!! In the back of my mind, I always hope that will happen for DH and I, so you are giving me hope! Just the other night, I was saying to him: "Really, all we need to do is just keep having sex."
AFM: I'm definitely still around, just not spending as much time on TB, since I'm not actively dealing with treatments.
@be08ryan congratulations! I wish you a very uneventful 9 months
@kristimh80 I hope this ERA cycle will help make your next transfer a success!
@ChristenMA83 I am so sorry that you find yourself back here. I can only imagine how sad and frustrated you are right now. I hope these two months will give you time to focus on other things for a little bit. Channeling that extra energy into organizing the house sounds like a good place to start. Enjoy your vacation and don't feel guilty about taking a time out or two if you need it
@wishing-and-hoping sending all the best vibes for this IUI as well as getting through the TWW! Ditto for it being hard to remember a time when life wasn't consumed by tcc . Glad you've found a therapy program that is working for you.
@emmasemm I'm really hoping the priming does the trick for you and that the fatigue will be worth it! Your rose bushes sound lovely, albeit high maintenance.
@kiwieloping thank you for such an inspiring update! Really happy that things are going well and I hope the rest of the month goes quickly for you and that you bring us another good report.
@mighty-mouse sending good vibes that the wait goes fast for you and results in a good outcome!
@meri-mac ugh I really hope the delay to get into the fertility clinic doesn't turn out to be that long. Or conversely, that you don't end up needing the appointment after all!
@funkykey sending so much your way. Take all the time and space that you need and join us whenever you feel up to it. I'll answer your question about the pelvic MRI below ...
Me: 37 DH: 35
Married since February 2012
TTC since February 2017
10 natural cycles = all BFN
Dx: weak ovulation with possible LPD; Rx: Clomid (4 rounds); Puregon + Ovidrel + TI (3 rounds) 7 medicated cycles (see above) = BFN
During the last medicated cycle, they found a small cyst on an ovary and ordered an MRI to check for endometriosis
May 2018 switched to an RE and did more testing while trying naturally
AFM, Monday was a big day for us, with my MRI in the morning and our
first consult with the RE in the afternoon. Basically, the MRI went
fine, however the results were inconclusive The cyst on my right
ovary, the one that prompted the whole thing, is no longer there. But
there was a new cyst on my left ovary that may be functional or may not
be. It will need to be followed by my new doctor. Also, there was one
small area that might have some endo, but it might not.
There
was some unexpected excitement after the MRI (re: I fainted). Because I
was so fixated on the prep I had to do at home (let's just say it
involved an enema), I failed to pay any attention to the other product
they gave me just before the exam. It turned out to be Glucagen, which
is used to treat severe hypoglycemia (it quickly raises your blood
sugar), but is also used during a pelvic MRI to slow down the movement
in the intestines and allow for a clearer picture of the area. Well, I
was diagnosed with mild hypoglycemia many, many years ago and I mostly
don't have to think about it as long as I eat a decent breakfast and
always carry a piece of candy with me in case I start to feel my blood
sugar dropping. Since I didn't realize what they had given me during the
exam, I did not eat anything once I got home and ended up fainting
shortly after due to what I assume was a severe blood sugar crash.
Thankfully I managed to call DH just before I passed out and he rushed
back from work. I think I was out for about 3 minutes. He made me drink
some sugar water and then gave me breakfast and I was fine after that,
although a bit freaked out and very tired.
The consult went well
and so far we really like the RE. She looked over all our tests and
asked us a lot of questions, mostly about our medical history. However,
because the MRI was inconclusive, she couldn't give us a diagnosis or
suggest any protocols. We both have to do more testing and will meet
with her again in mid-June (I hope). She did say that depending on the
results, the next move will either be surgery for me or IVF. I really
don't want to have surgery unless it's absolutely necessary, so I guess
I'm hoping it's straight to IVF? In any case, we won't know much more
until we meet next month to go over the results.
ETA: QOTW!
QOTW: What's growing in your garden/yard this year? We live in an apartment, so we don't have a garden or yard. Last year we did herbs and cherry tomatoes on the terrace, but we haven't yet bought anything this year. I don't have much of a green thumb, so it's mostly up to DH. I love flowers though and we had a lot of rain this winter, so the spring blooms in our city look especially beautiful right now!

It's been a while since I've been around here, I needed sort of a mental break after the CP in February.
Things with the RE are going well. I had a saline sono and HSG and everything looks peachy. All blood work came back fine except my thyroid. I've had Hashimoto's for years and it finally started to mess with my TSH the last year or so. The RE thinks my dosage from my PCP is too low so he upped it. There's no real way to treat the antibodies although he recommended Sterlenum (sp) as a supplement. So I've been doing acupuncture, chiro care, and taking my mountain of pills daily.

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to follow along but haven’t been active because I started my new job and I’m in a cubicle environment so it’s difficult to bump. Anywhodles, i know there have been some big ups and downs for people on here—too many to name, but know that I’ve been sending hugs and cheers as needed. The following are just a few and forgive me for leaving anyone out!! Totally unintentional.
@funkykey Words can not express how sorry I am to hear about your last FET. I just want to shake someone or something in anger for you, like why can’t the universe give you a break?! I’m glad you’re not completely down and out; I am ALWAYS rooting for you. Remind me—are you going for a second opinion?
@emmasemm You have certainly had a rollercoaster of stress with this cross-country IVF process! Hopefully things are calming down!
@ChristenMA83 I’m so, so sorry for your loss. I can’t even imagine what that must be like. So many creepy internet hugs, my friend.
@Worldtravler0522 It was great to see you back here! I know how much you’ve been through and, as with @funkykey, I want so much for you to FINALLY get your take home baby. I’m glad to see some movement again on your end and I’ll be right here cheering you on.
@SoonToBeMommaHowe OMG Congratulations!!!! This is such wonderful news!! Hooray!!!!
AFM Mid-cycle for FET #3. We’re doing a natural cycle, and I’ve pretty much been doing “everything wrong” in my mind for the first part of the cycle—drinking, eating so much sugar, not really bothering with the pomegranate juice or pumpkin seeds, etc. Lo and behold I saw my RE for my CD10 ultrasound and bloodwork yesterday and I might O early this cycle (which is good because I was slightly panicky about the FET timing as we leave on a short trip on June 1). I’m attributing it to the Red Raspberry Leaf Tea I have managed to drink daily this cycle. Anyway, I think not having to take pills every day coupled with significantly lower expectations after two CPs, has contributed to this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ attitude. Who knows? Maybe not overthinking will be the ticket.
Hey y’all, long time no see! I want to address all of you personally but I’m not thinking clearly...in the hospital, waiting for the surgeon (an hour late...) for my Endo laparoscopy I have been so very nervous for daysssss and I am just ready for this to be over with!!!! I’ve never had surgery before so I’m pretty much a nervous wreck!!!!! Hugs and love to all of you, can’t wait to be back and trying soon!!!!!!!

@kristimh80 I hope the era gives you some answers

I'm sending you all love and hope as you continue on this journey. xoxoxo

FX to everyone, it sounds like there is a lot of action on everyone's treatment plans at the moment. Hope the symptoms settle down quickly.
Afm bloods should that I successfully O'd last week, so now I keep on waiting and hoping.
Qotw - weeds, my garden is almost exclusively weeds. Vaguely considered getting out there last weekend but my shoulder is stuffed atm so seemed like a good excuse not to
QOTW: Nothing growing much yet.
1. How long have you been TTC? 16 months for number 1
2. What is your diagnosis? Nothing yet. Got a call from the fertility clinic saying that there is a 6 to 8 month wait.
@kiwieloping H&H to you!

that is interesting about your hormones going on a re-set.

7 medicated cycles (see above) = BFN
There was some unexpected excitement after the MRI (re: I fainted). Because I was so fixated on the prep I had to do at home (let's just say it involved an enema), I failed to pay any attention to the other product they gave me just before the exam. It turned out to be Glucagen, which is used to treat severe hypoglycemia (it quickly raises your blood sugar), but is also used during a pelvic MRI to slow down the movement in the intestines and allow for a clearer picture of the area. Well, I was diagnosed with mild hypoglycemia many, many years ago and I mostly don't have to think about it as long as I eat a decent breakfast and always carry a piece of candy with me in case I start to feel my blood sugar dropping. Since I didn't realize what they had given me during the exam, I did not eat anything once I got home and ended up fainting shortly after due to what I assume was a severe blood sugar crash. Thankfully I managed to call DH just before I passed out and he rushed back from work. I think I was out for about 3 minutes. He made me drink some sugar water and then gave me breakfast and I was fine after that, although a bit freaked out and very tired.
The consult went well and so far we really like the RE. She looked over all our tests and asked us a lot of questions, mostly about our medical history. However, because the MRI was inconclusive, she couldn't give us a diagnosis or suggest any protocols. We both have to do more testing and will meet with her again in mid-June (I hope). She did say that depending on the results, the next move will either be surgery for me or IVF. I really don't want to have surgery unless it's absolutely necessary, so I guess I'm hoping it's straight to IVF? In any case, we won't know much more until we meet next month to go over the results.
7 medicated cycles (see above) = BFN
Sorry to here the MRI wasn't more conclusive @mirabelle33. Hopefully the further tests and new RE will help get things on track.
7 medicated cycles (see above) = BFN
Things with the RE are going well. I had a saline sono and HSG and everything looks peachy. All blood work came back fine except my thyroid. I've had Hashimoto's for years and it finally started to mess with my TSH the last year or so. The RE thinks my dosage from my PCP is too low so he upped it. There's no real way to treat the antibodies although he recommended Sterlenum (sp) as a supplement. So I've been doing acupuncture, chiro care, and taking my mountain of pills daily.
******* TW Pregnancy mentioned*******
I got a BFP last Thursday at 10DPO. I had my first beta on Friday and it was 28 which is ok for as early as it was. My progesterone looked great. I have a second beta tomorrow. I'm too scared to even acknowledge it.
******* End TW********
I'll probably become more active now that my head is back in the game so to speak.

@mighty-mouse Sorry for AF. She showed up for me too. I am becoming numb to the disappointment. That's something at least
