1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

13 weeks, baby is the size of a lemon, small peach, jalapeno pepper, or a clown fish.

2. How are you feeling?

Pretty good. Nausea has gone away for the most part and I've been getting little bursts of energy. Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen, made breakfast, painted (most of) a wall, and did a load of laundry! Go me!

3. Any appointments this week?

I have a regular OB appointment on Wednesday. In about 3 weeks I'll be having weekly appointments to get progesterone shots and they will be measuring my cervix either weekly or every other week because of having DS so early.

4. Rants/raves/questions?

I think I remember this from being pregnant with DS, but... does anyone else sometimes feel like they have a spherical weight sitting in their abdomen? Maybe its just growing pains, but sometimes my uterus feels like a sold weight just sitting in there.

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies.
We went out for dinner yesterday with my stepmom and my brother's grandmother. Today, DH made me breakfast and we are going to go see the Avengers movie in about an hour. DS gave me a wind chime he made at daycare and he hugged me then let go and said "now I have to hug the baby" and hugged me again

I have 3 furbabies, all cats. We have Turbo, a black and white long haired kitty we got from the animal shelter in Butte, Montana a month after I moved up there to live with (now) DH. Then Gracie, a white and gray short hair we got from a lady on craigslist because she had raised the kittens around her 18 month old twin granddaughters and DS was about that age. Lastly, we got Ivar Thunderhorse.... which is his registered name lol, a Norwegian Forest Cat from a breeder, because DH always wanted that type of cat and we had just had his 18y/o cat put down.
Although, my oldest cat, Turbo, is the only one we had before DS was born. After having DS I just don't seem to get the same connection with the newer cats as I did with my "old man kitten" (he's about to turn 11 but I always have referred to him as my kitten).

2. How are you feeling?

Pretty freaking good! Almost all my symptoms are gone except for heartburn, but it's much better.

3. Any appointments this week?

I have one on Tuesday. U/s and OB.

4. Rants/raves/questions?

Rave: Went to a baby expo yesterday and my Dr ended up being there. They were doing free u/s and I got one. My tech was able top see right away that we are having another boy!!

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies.
H had to work, but he got up and helped get ds ready so we could go to church. He got me a card and a gift card to Ulta and when I came from church, He had cleaned and vacuumed the house!! Ds and I took a 2 hour nap and it was bliss!

2. How are you feeling? Pretty good. Been a little more nauseous the last couple days and my sciatic pain is sticking around, but overall ok

3. Any appointments this week? nada

4. Rants/raves/questions? I'm excited to start feeling definite movement hopefully soon. I can't remember when I started feeling it with DS.

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies. We all slept in (or DH would have gotten up with DS and let me sleep in) and I opened my mothers day cards. We went to the zoo and I think we'll go to the botanic gardens in a little bit and try to get some nice ish pics of DS. Hopefully the heat hasn't killed all the pretty flowers!

We have 2 cats we got from the shelter. One is part russian blue and the other is a tabby. We've had them for about 5 years. They are sweet enough cats, but I had an egyptian mau before DS and he was the best. He died when he was 6 of kidney failure, and I had a really hard time with it. I don't know if it's just different personalities that I don't feel quite as strong with these cats or if it was because it was my first cat or now that I'm a mom I see them differently? I have no idea and feel kind of bad saying it, but my current cats aren't quite as babied and loved as my first was.

Really good, most of the symptoms are gone except that heartburn is becoming a bigger annoyance lately.

None

We did the gender reveal last night with our parents and siblings....WE'ER HAVING A BOY!!!

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies.
We went to brunch with my parents and brothers.

I have one fur baby, a 8 year old orange and white tabby named Boo.

12, baby is the size of a plum!

2. How are you feeling?

Eh. I still have good days and bad days, but the nausea/vomiting is definitely still very present. Otherwise I'm great though!

3. Any appointments this week?

Tuesday for the NT scan

4. Rants/raves/questions

I feel like I'm growing differently this time. I never really hit the fat or pregnant stage with DD, I had NO belly until 16 or 17 weeks and then I had a clear baby belly overnight. I put on a maternity shirt that I loved last time (so soft!) this morning and it just made me look like I'd been eating too many snacks.

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies.
Our plans were to go to the zoo but it rained on and off all day so that didn't happen. We ended up going to the mall and just walking around and enjoying time as a family which was perfect. Plus I got to take a nap when we got back despite DD boycotting hers which was fantastic.
As for fur babies, we have a 6ish year old beagle. The rescue we got him from thinks he was a failed hunting dog and he has clearly embraced life as a house pet in the past 3.5 years. He now pulls to go back home on walks if it's warmer than about 80 or cooler than 50 and seems to prefer resting on the couch or playing with his treat puzzle toys over real exercise. He's such a lovable goof though.

15 weeks, the size of a magic 8 ball

2. How are you feeling?

My boobs got really sorry all of a sudden and I have been getting some minor cramps. I read that the little aches and pains could be because of things growing and moving around so I'm hoping it's just that.

3. Any appointments this week?

Nope, not this week

4. Rants/raves/questions?

I think I am starting to feel some movement and it makes me so excited. I'm hoping that means that everything is going good and is still on track. Hopefully I'm not just imagining it.

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies.
Last night we took out my in laws for a combined Mother's Day and FIL Bday dinner. Today we took my parents out to dinner. Other than that we just lounged around the house.
Side story: My younger brother told me Happy Mother's Day today via text and I literally burst into tears. I'm not a mother quite yet but him thinking of me just brought tears to my eyes.

We don't have any pets. We talked about getting a dog once we got our own house but now that we have our house, we don't think we are home enough to have a pet. As much as we want a dog we just can't in good conscience, get one and leave him (or her) locked up in the house all alone for so long.

Ehh... the nausea comes and goes still. Been getting more heartburn and reflux type crap though

Just super glad to be end of 1st tri/start of 2nd tri this week.

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies.
Ugh... Mother's Day otherwise known as sit in a car all day and listen to MIL bitch. It was fine I guess, I compromised and told MH I'd go along with yesterday so long as I get to pull the my first's mother's day I do what I want card next year. We drove 2 hrs (one way) with my in-laws and their effing two shih tzu's (cause MIL couldn't "leave her babies" and already "promised them they could go with") to go see MH's grandmother. Like... I enjoy seeing H's gma but good lord pregnant and stuck cramped in a car with wet dog smell for hours on end is effing TORTURE! Plus getting to hear "well it's MY Mother's Day too" from MIL and "well when I was pregnant (50 years ago)..." *head meet wall* Neveragain.

We have 3 meowfaces. The Brat Princess: Bohica, who is a big fat lazy calico who will whoop your ass if provoked. She is very much H's kitty. He is her hooman. She loves me too but is not as attached to me as she is to H. She RARELY shows herself to anyone else but is VERY loving towards us (and tolerates DSD) so no everyone thinks she's a jerk cat, but she really is the best. Tarfu, the Cuddling Conqueror, is an orange tabby that is very slinky and is the perpetual middle child. She is DSD's kitty and loves that kid something fierce. She's our jumper (she will jump ontop of the doors from sitting on the floor) and also is the talker and will meow at you in response to you talking to her. And then there's my kitten, Razorblade Suitcase: Yorkels, who is about a year younger than Bo & Fu. She's all black except for a white patch between her back legs. She is the baby/trouble maker and has absolutely zero vertical jump and likes to roll around and fall off of things. She's about the same size as Tarfu in length and weight but has these itty bitty short little legs. She also will eat just about ANYTHING. They're all such weirdos and their individual quirks make me giggle on a daily basis. <--- TL;DR: I like my cats. They're idiots.

@lurvleybunchococonuts Sorry you had to be trapped in a torture car! I'm so thankful my MIL lives on the opposite side of the country. And I agree, cats are amazing and wonderful entertainment.
+1 with the heartburn/indigestion nonsense. EVERYTHING is causing it! Anything remotely spicy or acidic will start the indigestion and that triggers the nausea.

13 weeks, baby is the size of a lemon.

2. How are you feeling?

Nausea is still present but the vomiting has subsided a lot, thankfully. Starting to have bits of energy back which is awesome. My reflux is out of control though and headaches are starting to become a thing.

3. Any appointments this week?

Nope, not for another 3 weeks.

4. Rants/raves/questions?

Contemplating switching from my OB to a midwife, same clinic/hospital but different service however I don't feel like I understand the difference enough, anyone with insight?
Also, anyone else with cysts, my last us around 12 weeks they found one measuring the size of my uterus but said they sent concerned but want to monitor it.... I've been googling (which of course sends me into panic) and am just not sure if the discomfort is from the cyst of RLP.

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies.
I had a lovely day. My younger sister surprised me with flowers and a lemon ha. My DH abd I cleaned (since I had energy) and reorganized our pantry before going to a graduation party with my family.

@jkmartin723 - I answered your midwife vs OB question on the randoms thread, but as far as the cysts go if they weren't concerned I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had 3 large cysts at my anatomy scan with DS, and they weren't causing any problems (I didn't have an u/s between 12 and 20 weeks so I don't know when they showed up).

@lurvleybunchococonuts - ugh that sounds terrible. Yay for not having to deal with it next year though!

1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 13 weeks. Lemon!

2. How are you feeling? Pretty much normal. So thankful to be through that rocky first trimester. I still can't get over how different it was from my first.

3. Any appointments this week? Nope! Not until the 25th, which will be almost 7 weeks since my last one. Glad I invested in my doppler for peace of mind through the lengthy gap between visits.

4. Rants/raves/questions? Could have really used a nice Mother's Day glass of wine yesterday.

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies I took DS to church to surprise my mother-in-law with a Mother's Day corsage and gift, then came home to have a cookout with my side of the family. Pretty low-key, but we had fun.

My bulldog is currently recovering from surgery. He had a couple of suspicious masses removed. One ended up just being a cyst, but the other we're still waiting for the results. Hoping it's not bad news.

2. How are you feeling?

Pretty good, just some annoying heartburn.

3. Any appointments this week?

Nope, had my 12 week appt on Friday and am anxiously waiting the results of my NIPT. Fingers crossed for a healthy baby - also excited to find out the sex but healthy baby first

4. Rants/raves/questions?

My 2 year old (accidently) kicked me in the stomach pretty hard yesterday. I'm sure all is well as I know baby is pretty protected in there but man it hurt.

5. GTKY: What are your Mother's Day plans and/or tell us about your fur babies.

Mother's Day is still a tough one for me since my mom passed away when I was pregnant with my DS. So we went to the cemetery to visit her which is never fun and other than that I took a long nap and pretended it wasn't Mother's Day.

We have a 12 year old Maltese-mix dog. Before my DS was born she was our "baby" and was always getting petted and spoiled. She has since moved down the totem pole and doesn't get as much attention and isn't very happy about it. Although, she knew it was coming since after I had my DS she wouldn't even look at him for a good 6 weeks, haha! She was really hoping he was just temporary. Now she licks his face and loves to play with him but I'm sure she wishes she was the only baby around. Not sure how she will react when this one comes.

@lachnessmomster - fingers crossed for good results!

@jkmartin723 - I went with the midwives at my OB office for my first pregnancy and had a great experience, including delivery. I loved that they were there the entire pushing time and were really patient/encouraging. I don't have any experience with the dr side but will definitely be going with the midwives again.

15, and according to the ultrasound tech the size of a Barbie doll.

2. How are you feeling?

Nausea is slowing going away. Still get nauseous if I don't eat but at least it's not every 2 hours. Fatigue is gone.

Next week. Had the gender scan yesterday.

We got our gender reveal scan and know who little one is!! Waiting a week to make it public, since our friends are doing their gender reveal for their first on Saturday. Other than that, spent some time with my mom and called DH's mom and sisters to share in the reveal. Best mother's day present we could think of.

We have a 6 yo chocolate lab named Bailey Logan, for Bailey's Irish Cream and Wolverine (we are comic book fans). He's our first son and absolutely loves DS, except when he's trying to chill and DS falls on top of him or bites him. He loves to snuggle and is a playing machine! He and DS chase each other around the house and it really is the cutest thing.

1. 14 weeks, peach.

2. Feeling pretty good other than continued horrible round ligament pain. So annoying.

3. Had an OB appt yesterday and all is well. Had the NT scan last week and that went well too!

4. I have to pee all the freaking time which apparently is normal because of hormones but didnt happen this early last time- last time it wasnt until I got big in third tri that the peeing all the time thing happened.

5. For mothers day we went for a hike, then had sushi (don’t worry I didn’t have any rolls that are raw, womp womp). We have no pets now but I love animals and hope to someday. Not while we live in a small apartment though, sigh.
