Re: gender neutral everything being gray....I do plan to find out (next Saturday the 19th!!) but I actually prefer more gender neutral stuff. I love all the gray and black and white , and our nursery will probably be gray/blue (because blue is awesome). But, I am finding out so I can add a pop of color because all gray is kinda boring. Gotta have some color, and since the rest of the world isn't quite on the gender neutral train, I feel like it's going to be hard to get a good variety of clothes without stepping into "boys" versus "girls". that being said, I have no qualms dressing my kid in "boy" clothes if it's a girl. Just because it's blue, doesn't mean boy!
I might be in the minority, but I consider ALL baby clothes to be gender neutral unless the outfit says something like "Daddy's girl" or something. Lil Monster will be wearing DD's hand me downs, pink and ruffles and all regardless of their sex. DF has a tendency to shop only in the "boy's" section cause he hates pink, but I still make him go into the "girl's" to balance it out.

@mytrueloves I feel the exact same way! We have hand me downs from friends with infant clothes that were considered for “boys” or “girls”. Lots of animals, trucks, some Disney stuff, all the colors. We re-hand down anything we don’t want our kid wearing which is usually because it’s ugly or weirdly commercial or promotes some weird gender normative attitudes (“our strong little slugger” was one...) anyway it’s been kind of fun.
@mytrueloves Same. #3 will be wearing all of Z's clothes regardless of sex. I'll eliminate the ones that say little man and stuff to that affect if #3 is a girl, but fire trucks and ninja turtles will be heavy in his/her wardrobe no matter what.
That's how I am with these cloth diapers. I got a really good deal on a set of 8 ($3 a piece w/ inserts) and some of them are a little more girly. My mom goes "You're going to put him in colored elephants" (there is some pink and purple ones). I told her yup, because it's going on his butt and I don't care.
