I don’t find Big Bang Theory funny at all. I was a math major and work in a verrrrry nerd heavy analytical field but I just. Don’t. Get it.

I can’t stand it when people say that pregnancy is really 10 months because it’s 40 weeks. With that logic there would be 13 months in a year (52/4).
To me, this is the most cringe worthy statement. For real.

I don’t like the movie Bridesmaids. I just don’t find Kristen Wiig funny (except in Despicable Me).

I’ve never been able to get into the Simpsons. I just don’t think it’s very funny - same for pretty much any other adult oriented cartoon

Especially when you aren't actually pregnant for 2 of those weeks, and don't know if you're pregnant for another 1.5-2 weeks.

I tried to watch game of thrones once and just couldn't get into it. Everyone talks about how good it is so I'm thinking about trying to watch it again but probably not.

Suits are dumb. I work at a firm small enough I don’t have to wear one every day, though some colleagues do. I just hate everything about them.

I'm sure things will be different with my own kid, but l don't really find young babies to be cute. Older babies and toddlers can definitely be cute once they grow and start developing a personality, but newborns all pretty much look the same to me.

On the other hand, get me within a one mile radius of a puppy* and I'm like:

@AshVA DH is the same way. He doesn't like babies but obviously loves DD and thought/thinks she's the cutest baby that ever lived. lol

Seems like more of a convenience thing for diaper changes than anything else. Peeling a baby out of, then back into, a wet one piece sounds like a PITA. What's gross and creepy about a female baby/ toddler's stomach, but not a male baby/toddler's stomach?

@ashVA I'm talking legit skimpy bra type tops that sexualize young girls that creeps me out. A tankini is totally fine for convenience sake. It's not about the tummy. I feel like it's just fodder for pedophiles.

@MrsBinPA oh ok, if it's designed as skimpy and sexualized, that would be creepy. But a non - skimpy top and bottom that shows some stomach doesn't bother me.

Cats are amazing. I'm much more of a cat person than a dog person.

My UO is this board is WAY too slow and you ladies are all really nice. I need some snark. I almost brought it out earlier on a different thread but y'all are too nice so I know I would be seen as the "board bully" again.

Kittens grow into cats and it's awesome! I don't unappreciate dogs, don't get me wrong, but I will take my cats over dogs any day. I would rather have to clean the litter box than have to go outside on poop patrol for a dog.

@sparkymcgeee - I bet you the snark will come out before too long, once we all get to know each other a bit. I know we're a little tame right now...

@AshVA 100% agreed! I also don’t like lying so I tell all of my close friends that I will not be telling them that I think their newborns are cute.

My UO: I hate avocado. And I live in CA. I hate the texture, flavor, everything about it. Gross.

@blueowl08 My closest friends know I'm not a baby person. For others, I tend to stick with factual statements that sound like compliments, or focus on a particular feature. E.g. "wow, look at all that hair!" or "She definitely has your eyes!"

@sparkymcgeee We seem to have an abnormally high number of posters who have been around TB a while and know and follow the rules. Don't worry, we still have a ways to go. I'm sure there will be more follow me to FB/guess the gender of my 8w embryo from this u/s/etc posts

@AshVA I like babies and I think a lot of babies are cute. But not all babies are equally cute. Some are downright funny looking.

My u/o is I love cilantro. When there is an option for cilantro I say, give me more cilantro.

If you've been trying to get knocked up and it's been less than a year you should not say it "finally" happened. You should not seek treatment unless there are underlying issues or you are AMA.
You are not "finally" pregnant. You are normal. Congrats.

I guess my UO is that toddler bikinis are adorable. If anyone is sexualizing a toddler they aren’t going to need certain clothing to do it.

I don't like 90% of all cats, and I'll never get a cat no matter how much my kids beg. They get dogs or cage pets. The only cats I like that other people have are the ones you never see, or the ones that are like dogs.

I hate mayo or miracle whip. It's never good on anything, or in anything, and I hate that many "salads" are made with it.

Oh oh! Another. I don't think lovetiting a post on another board you are just lurking is ever bad. This place is so slow now that I have to lurk other places. So if I agree with something on TTGP or 2nd Tri or Dec18 you better believe I'm going to show my support for whatever they say. I'm not a creeper because of it.

Yep, she was one of those. I dubbed her slaps4jesus. it still makes me sad when I think of it. Her example was if the baby tried to crawl off a blanket or struggle during diaper changes, they’d spank.
