Re: WTF Wednesday 5/9

  • There is a woman who comes to our office once or twice a week and EVERY TIME she is here she manages to screw up the printer, without fail. She will let it run out of paper and not refill it, she will go to the print jobs that require a password to print and delete them, jams the printer and doesn't unjam it, or print something legal but not put legal paper in then wonder why it won't print and then just leave her print job up so no one elses will print out. It is so frustrating!

  • @PensiveCrayon so much yes to this! I get more annoyed than I probably should when I have to read about bloggers’ kids and how they did or didn’t nap over the weekend and the bananas you tried to use up, and anyway, here’s the veggie burger recipe for the delish burgers we made on Thursday that taste just like the local joint.
Please just give me the recipe, and I’ll be so appreciative that I might continue reading about your life. Don’t bait & switch me with food.

@PensiveCrayon my favorite is when I finally get to the actual recipe at the bottom and with no warning, it has some weird/uncommon ingredient in it for NO APPARENT REASON other than pure sh*ts and giggles.  Awesome, I just spent 10 minutes reading your short story entry about cupcakes and now I can't even make them  :|

Tonight we told my parents about the new baby.  They were thrilled but now my anxiety is through the roof and I can sleep.  :s I haven’t had my first appointment yet.  If we weren’t going to a concert tomorrow where friends will figure it out, I wouldn’t have told anyone until I was obviously showing.
  • @PensiveCrayon Yes!!! I always scroll straight to the bottom. I don't need to read a short story on how you made that cupcake, I just want to make it myself.

@LLynde5 I think that's normal in the beginning to worry! How far along are you? When is your first appointment. I hope you have a good time at the concert. I have been invited to a wine making party thing at the end of the month and have to think of some sort of excuse as to why I can't go because everyone will wonder why I'm not drinking.

@AdorkablePixie I am seven weeks and do not have an appointment until the 21st.  My new OB isn’t concerned that I had diabetes and spotting with my first and some early loses prior to this pregnancy.  She said the normal eight week appointment will be just fine.  I trust she is right!! My symptoms have been way more manageable this time then with my daughter.  So I have been taking tests every so often because sometimes it just doesn’t seem real.

Good luck with the excuse.  I used no drinking during lent for my DS. Worked great!!  My friend got me with saying she was on a cleanse.  She she was able to go to everything and no one questioned her because she is very health conscientious.  But food poisoning works for a one night skip!
  • Wtf Thursday:
The power in my whole house is out and I can’t take a shower without the help of Sesame Street. Arghhhhhh

@LLynde5 I am glad I am not the only one still peeing on sticks to double check!

WFT I just woke up from a three hour nap.  I didn’t get much sleep last night.  I felt a little sluggish this morning but I still have an eight hour work day to finish.
  • Wtf Thursday: Brooklyn 99 is cancelled. Noooooooo!

  • @Llynde5 I definitely took a pregnancy test again the other night, just to be sure. haha Sounds like you needed that nap!

@morgantu My husband is pretty upset about that too. lol I've never really seen it. He use to watch it on Hulu.

@AdorkablePixie I guess I did.  I don’t remember laying down but woke up in a complete state of WTF three hours later!!
  • @Llynde5 When I was pregnant with DS I was working from home and started feeling dizzy so I just laid on the couch for a minute for it to pass, I woke up 30 minutes later. oops.

  • @LLynde5 when I was pregnant with my first, I would come home from work and lay down “just for a minute” and wake up an hour or two later without even knowing I fell asleep. There’s nothing quite like first trimester exhaustion.

Not so much of that this time because I’m hyperthyroid, so that seems to be canceling out the uncontrollable napping.

@Katzalia and @AdorkablePixie glad that this isn’t abnormal!!  Lol
  • WTF. I love chewing gum & the mint has been helping with nausea but I bite the inside of my cheek every. single. time. Is this pregnancy? Or is my jaw out of whack?
