Just had my first appointment today! They drew some blood and we scheduled a dating ultrasound for next week! She said I was 6+2 so my actual due date is 12/31. I think I will stay in this January board though if you'll let me
First appointment today. Had an early ultrasound. I told my OB I thought I was 5.5 weeks (would have been 6.5 based on LMP so I wanted her to be prepared). Got good news and bad news.
Good news: we saw a gestational sac and a yolk sac and she said it looked spot on for 5.5 weeks. No bean visible yet but that’s normal.
Bad: I have a pretty big SCH. My OB is going to bring me in for weekly ultrasounds from here on out until the SCH *hopefully* resolves.
Shes starting me on progesterone to support my lining (I was on it with DD). Holding off on taking baby aspirin because we don’t want to feed the SCH. (I need the baby aspring because of hypertension problems postpartum with DD. The earlier you start the better but for now we need to hold off).
I had blood drawn so I’m praying fo some good numbers tomorrow. No Second beta which I’m happy about because I don’t want to go down that rabbit hole.
For now just crossing everything I have two of that my numbers look good tomorrow and we see a healthy little 6.5 week bean with a heartbeat next Tuesday!

@BitterBetty12 - glad you got to see the bean, and everything's looking spot on for 5.5! Sorry about your SCH, I hope it resolves and your bloodwork comes back good!
@BitterBetty12 so exciting you got to see the bean! Sorry to hear about the SCH but it sounds like your doc is totally on top of the situation. I hope things continue to progress healthily for you!

It's good to read the positive news as it comes in. @drabong88 what a way to celebrate NYE 2018!
I got the betas from Friday that the lab forgot to run those were 293. Today's were 1549. Quite a jump! My progesterone isnt where the RE would like to see so he is changing me to a gel insert. I can't remember the name. Anyone here on something like that?

Ok, let's try this again. I have an ultrasound scheduled at a different location thanks to my awesome ob nurse. Scheduled for next Wednesday! Excited and oh so nervous
@CoastieGirl79 - I'm on a progesterone compound. Not quite a gel insert, but same idea. I have to insert mine once a day, before I go to bed. Wear a panty liner, it gets fairly gross when stuff comes out. The more insert type progesterone is better because it gets absorbed where you need it to be and it's more effective. FX it helps your numbers out! Glad your beta numbers had that nice big jump!
@CoastieGirl79 I was on crinone (gel that’s inserted with an applicator) with DD and will be again starting tonight. It wasn’t too bad for me. There is some gross discharge that will come out in the morning and sometimes throughout the day. But otherwise I didn’t have any issues.

Appt today - no u/s - they're not doing it until 6/11. but measuring right around 6 weeks and she blessed everything I'm doing and want to continue, so all in all, good appointment.
first sono this AM! McBaby was in my uterus exactly where it was supposed to be! Didn’t get a pic of the sono because my RE doesn’t give out copies of it until there’s a confirmed heartbeat just in case something goes wrong. She doesn’t want people harping over it, which I get. Everything looked great tho! I’m 5+4 today and she said it looked normal. She said she could almost make an argument for seeing heartbeat but didn’t want to confirm it and then have to negate that.
And my HCG was 6146! And progesterone was 16.5!
Another sono next week where we hope to see the heartbeat! Holy moly what a great mother’s day present!
