I have another... my newest morning sickness meds just aren't working today. Worked great all weekend, but stopped today -_-
I think I am feeling progressively worse. This is my first time being pregnant, so I have nothing to compare it to or know what to expect. My nausea can now be lessened as long as I eat often enough--but I feel like I am eating all the time, and I still have an aversion to vegetables, sigh. I can only do tiny activities before feeling really fatigued, and now I am also starting to have aches and pains in my back and knees (I was overweight to begin with, but now I feel like my knees have just admitted defeat).
Additionally, a doctor (not my OB) I went to see for a chronic cough says it's allergies, and recommends that I take Claritin. Hubby has been asking me to take it as well, since I cough a lot, especially in the evenings. However, I am just scared to take anything at this point so I haven't started taking it yet. Ugh.
Anyone is a similar boat on either topic?
@troystory17 See, I was 12w3d when they drew my blood. That's why I'm a little worried about the results. I feel like I was plenty far along for there to be enough fetal DNA in my blood to test.

@jkmartin723 - oh no, I'm so sorry. Vomiting is the worst. I hope you and DSS feel better soon!
Those of you that are teachers are amazing. Thank you for everything you do. I can only imagine how under appreciated ya'll feel sometimes.
My b*tch is that poor DS has an ear infection. He spiked a fever while I was working Friday night and had it until 1230am when I gave him tylenol and then he woke up fever free so I thought maybe we were in the clear. Fever came back a few hours later so we went to the doc. DS gets ear infections frequently after colds (which he's mostly been over for a few days at least). Dr said one of them is pretty bad and his ear drum has a good chance of rupturing. DS must have a high pain tolerance because when I asked him if his ears hurt he said no. I know there's nothing else I could do with yesterday being Sunday, but it just makes me feel so guilty. And now I have to get him to take 10 days of nasty amoxicillin.

@ashkee05 can you get some new hires in?
@bqtmom25 I hope he cleaned it up later!
@lifesabeach85 - he definitely does not like the pink drink. We put it in yogurt which he eventually got down. 10 days of this is going to be hard. I need to go back and see how many ear infections he's had. The problem is we've seen our old ped, our new ped, and the general clinic that's 3 minutes away (vs 30 for his ped) that does walk-ins. I'll have to call the pharmacy to figure that out.

@middleschoolmommy Oh My Gosh! I LOATHE missing work. It is the devil. I am sorry you are dealing with so many students missing work. I don't grade anything in resource. (More testing and IEP paperwork is my struggle) I taught 4th grade last year and finally told my students they had to copy from my teacher copy onto blank paper. I was not making copies of missing work. I was always so behind in grading missing work because it was so effing time consuming. I feel your pain and am sorry.
@susan112118 I had to take antibiotics when pregnant with DS. I had an asymptomatic bladder infection at like 36W. I was so scared of taking them I broke down and cried at the appointment. Taking them does outway that later though. DS is perfectly fine and does not have any reprocussions, if that helps.
@mockingjay1 My DS loved amoxocillon. He had to take prednislone though for some asthmatic issues and that crap is AWFUL. I tasted it. The doctors office mixed it with a "snowcone" sugar flavoring and he took it just fine. I tried to replicate it by making sugar water at home. It went okay. Maybe try mixing it with a "snowcone" flavor?
My BF is we were driving over the mountains on Friday night, late, to make it to a town about 4-5 hours from us. (Colorado I70) We were going to watch my little sister run a 1/2 marathon on Saturday morning. We couldn't leave until 7 or 8 because my DH worked. We got stuck just before Vail Pass summit because the highway was closed from a rockslide. It was 10pm by this time. We waited about an hour before they started turning people around. (The detour would add 2 hours to our drive.) We turned around into a rest stop to figure out if it was worth the detour or just go home. We were there 5-10 minutes when we decided to try the detour. We go to get back on the highway in the opposite direction we were originally going when we noticed the highway was open now. Luckily we were able to get back on and only lost like 1-1.5 hours instead of 3 but the darn highway patrol could have waited 5 more minutes and we could have just kept going. We were near the front of the waiting. We didn't arrive until 2:30am and were up at 5:45am to go watch my sister. Blah!! She did well and got a PR though so that was cool.
@blue2mango thanks! I'm dreading all the calls and noted from parents next week when their child complains that I won't take their work. I'll probably have to explain that grades were due on 5/11 over 50 times! Hope you were able to get some rest after your long trip!!
@mockingjay1 Getting kids to take antibiotics is the worst. DD will usually cooperate the first couple of days and then I have to force her the rest of the time. If you find any good tricks pass them on! I hope he feels better soon.
@ashkee05 That sounds like an actual nightmare, I am so sorry. I hope those open interviews do the trick and you get some support quickly.
I shockingly don't have a BF this week. I think I'm just too tired and crappy feeling to care about much lol
