: Rave & Rave: Loving my new couples small group...everyone is sooo nice! But they all have little babies and one is giving birth June 2nd. I just met these people and they are doing a last minute small baby shower. I'm super happy for the girl...she's super sweet! But coming off a failed FET...I'm also sad. Best of this...I started writing a draft for my IVF blog last night, so that was therapeutic.

: We just got back from our cruise! Had a great time, now need to get to our public health department and get us both a Zika test yay! This next cycle will start my BCP and the whole FET process. They can’t do FET until at least 8 weeks after returning from a Zika area but they suppress for a cycle anyhow so timing works out perfectly!

    Questions for the group:
Does anyone know at what point an embryo could split into twins? I know it’s more common in older women but didn’t know if our frosties would have a chance of this since they’re day 6.

    5/3/17: started IVF + ICSI + PGS cycle #2, antagonist protocol (menopur/follistim/ovidrel)
6/7/17: ER, 1 egg retrieved, mature but did not fertilize, poor egg quality given as reason

10/11/17: ER, 5 eggs retrieved, 2 fertilized, 1 arrested at 3 cells and the other arrested at 5 cells, poor egg quality given as reason, doctor suggested it was time to move on to donor eggs but I asked to give it one last chance and kept on my diet/unprocessed/unscented/nontoxic products
12/28/17: started IVF + ICSI + PGS cycle #5, microdose lupron protocol
2/1/18: ER, 9 eggs retrieved, 6 mature and 6 fertilized, 3 survived to day 5 blastocyst, 2 PGS normal

: AF still hasn't shown! Supposed to be this past Saturday. 2 HPT are negative. WTF. Just my friggin luck that AF is late now bc I'm waiting on that to begin my IVF cycle! I'm supposed to start stims Saturday but I need my period first! So annoyed and disappointed in my body right now. I hated when CD1 rolled around month after month when we were TTC but now, of course, I want it here already. So disgusted.

@Mack2342 Thank you!! I've been meaning to at least write a little...if nothing else, for the future to help remember all the emotions and things that happened :) Plus, I figure it'll help family understand more.

@Momifbysea Glad you had a great trip!! I've heard in IVF twins can happen due to ICSI / PGS poking at them, but who knows! I always fantasize about that happening!

@ndz2018 Thinking of you! So glad you could be there for your girlfriend. It's always nice to have someone there that "gets it" and has been thru it as well. Eww on the suppositories part. I don't miss those things!

@mich_elle I know how you feel! My first AF after ER was right away, then the 2nd period was over a week late and drove me nuts! FX yours will be here soon! With all the hormones going on...it's normal for our bodies to be a little wacky.

AFM: OPK's have me excited, even if the odds are super low for me. I think just seeing 2 strong double lines is exciting at this point lol

Thanks ladies! AF *finally* showed today. I'm so disgusted and disappointed in my body right now. Like, really??? Not only can you not make a [email protected] baby, but you can't even menstruate on effing time?!?!? So annoyed. What a tease, I feel sick over it. And the fact that my RE hasn't responded to my vm or email is really pissing me off. Since AF was so goddamn late, am I still starting Saturday??? I haven't paid for my meds that are supposed to be here Thursday, I still need to sign off of some financial paperwork I just got this morning from them and still need to sign consent for the PGS. Everything was on hold until AF showed or not. Well, now what? No sense of urgency, I swear.

@peggy_gupta Ahh Mexican everything sounds good right now!! Weather here will be in the 80s, so I may have to find a margarita place as well! If these people don't stop coming in my office at closing, I may need an extra one before cinco de mayo  :D

kristimh80 - Haha sure go for it, one margarita from all of us then ;)! Btw I got my AMH test results and its about 0.6, sounds less right?!Should I be worried? Haven't met my doc yet.  Prolactin and Thyroid was fine tho.

@peggy_gupta It sounds a little on the low side, but I've seen girls with low amh do well, so try not to stress over the #. I have high amh and I don't think it helped much either for my last IVF cycle. With lower amh, you may end up taking more medication if you go the IVF route. There's a lot of variable besides amh, so wait and see what your doctor thinks :) When is you next appointment?

That's true other factors count as well. My next appointment is towards end of the month might be scheduled sooner as well, keeping fingers crossed. Any specific questions should I be asking my RE apart from next steps?

@peggy_gupta Did they also check your Vitamin D, Thyriod / TSH levels as well? Just checking, those were part of my initial bloodwork and was low on Vitamin D and needed another Rubella shot. Also, I take it your partner has been tested too for his sperm count, etc? If so, just see what your options are. See if any extra vitamins are needed. I know some RE's are picky and only want you on certain one's depending on your situation. I'm sure on CD3 (or around then) they may want to do a baseline sonogram to check your ovaries, etc. If not...they will when you get started with a cycle :)

kristimh80 -They did check my TSH and Prolactin and thankfully those two are fine.Vitamin D test was done by my PPC few months back and I was suggested to take Vitamin D regularly since a few months. Didn't get it checked lately. My DH hasn't got his sperm analysis done, that's another story. He isn't denying but taking his time, its tricky with him.We both are taking Prenatals, CoQ10 and Methyl Folate as suggested by RE.

I so much appreciate your insights for guiding me here, BIG thanks :)

@peggy_gupta Awe well I hope he's on board soon with it all! Not sure that they would let you move forward without knowing that key piece of information. But you never know!
