I'm 9 weeks today. Apparently baby is now considered a fetus, not an embryo. According to Ovia, baby is the size of a Eastern Tailed Blue Butterfly.
2. How are you feeling?
Not great. I feel queasy and exhausted most of the time these days. I haven't been exercising, which I was actually doing pretty well with until about 1.5 weeks ago.
3. When is your next appointment?
NT scan is May 29.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary:
I'm looking forward to being out of the first tri soon and hoping I start to feel better.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
He actually interviewed me for my first job out of grad school. He was just one of the interviewers, and didn't really have any deciding power, but that is how we first met. I got the job and we started dating about 7 months in.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 9 weeks .baby is now a fetus .
2. How are you feeling? Very tired .very tired. Nauseous on and off .Moody af .
3. When is your next appointment? Nipt on 5/15 .
4. Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary: I had my initial ob appt and it was just overwhelming . All the Ama stuff had me feeling so nervous. I just want to get through this pregnancy. I'm also still nervous that this pregnancy will be like my first .I think I have PTSD from it .not kidding .
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? (taken from Thursday... it's tough to come up with good GTKY questions!) We met through mutual friends at a club.
@GoyaBean913@kadeephd congrats on graduating to a fetus! @GoyaBean913 sorry the ama stuff is causing you so much stress! I hope your next appointment gives you some reassurance. 1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 8w2d. I feel like everything from here on out is a milestone since passing the date of my prior early loss. I don't know if this counts as a milestone but I told my sister yesterday! Which makes it all so much more real! She was so happy she cried, it was really sweet.
2. How are you feeling? I've really felt fine for the last couple of weeks, but after seeing the u/s and talking to my doctor I'm less worried about my lack of symptoms. I'm pretty tired but I think that has more to do with my work schedule which is 7 days a week through mid-June requiring me to wake up at 4:45 everyday...which has been so draining and made me an emotional mess. I haven't really have MS but last night I did almost throw up after eating a slice of pizza, the nausea came out of no where. I think it's because I had just taken my prenatal too.
3. When is your next appointment? May 22nd for my more formal intake appointment I think?
4. Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary: Dear diary, december is really far away and I could really use a glass of wine...sigh...also my schedule is so sucky all I do is work and come home and sleep, I really miss my husband
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We met in college. We worked at the same place and had some mutual friends. We started dating after about 8 months of meeting.
@nerdeebird I can't imagine how you are keeping that schedule! I'm impressed. I have a much more flexible/relaxed schedule and I still feel like I'm barely making it through here. Also... I could really use a glass of wine too. I spent half an hour reading about the light consumption of alcohol in pregnancy last night before deciding not to, but I was very close to having a small glass.
@kadeeph sheer willpower...I'm in my field season for my phd and the type of data I need requires me to go out everyday unfortunately...at least it's only for a couple months. I'm really thankful I don't have too many symptoms. I was dreading having to explain to my undergrads why I keep throwing up, but it's been fine! **knock on wood** The hardest part is keeping track of everything I have to do on top of pregnancy brain/exhaustion... RE: wine, I feel like I have read sooo much about drinking trying to convince myself...and also haven't been able to bring myself to do it. Although I have let myself break other rules - I just ate sushi (not tuna) the other day. I really feel like a small glass every once in a while is probably perfectly fine, but I can also see why doctor's like mine just say no...it's easy for one person's every once in a while to turn into once a week and then a couple times a week and yada yada. I do think I'll probably cave at one point once I'm out of the first trimester...
