@katy0990 I'm glad you got answers and you'll be on a supplement as a precaution! Hoping everything continues to go well. Your beta numbers look awesome!!
Agreed! Being able to take action is great. All of the just waiting is maddening otherwise

1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 6 weeks 4 days - already passed all four milestones especially now that we saw the little beating heart a couple of days ago on the ultrasound
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? The queasiness is terrible. I can't find anything to eat. I just feel awful pretty much all the time. Plus the exhaustion which of course my 5 year old and 2 year old don't understand why mama doesn't want to run around the backyard all the time.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? My anxiety is actually really good. I only got anxiety when I had to go to my ultrasound on Tuesday. I did get anxious the other day about having a third kid. But otherwise I haven't worried because I have been too busy being queasy.
4. Any appointment updates?
Next week I have my first OB appointment.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Nothing is really happening in my life currently actually. @misfithero@morgantu Thanks for checking up on me! The appointment went really well. Saw a HB of 130 in that little blob of mine. Definitely gave me the relief I needed...for now.
Something i realized today: My EDD with this little babe is the day after my MC started, just one year apart. What a bittersweet thing.
Definitely bittersweet. My EDD is one year and one week after I needed a D&C. Luckily DH’s family has a history of December babies, so the good outweighs the sad. *hugs*

@morgantu, @echo-charlietango, @texas_t - I may have said this before, but the anniversary of my MC was April 8 and I got my BFP on April 10. Talk about a hot mess of emotion.
I had my ultrasound this morning and we saw the flicker of the heartbeat at 5 weeks 4 days! I am actually measuring a day ahead, but we will keep the 12/31 due date. I am glad we are keeping it, because our announcement ties into NYE. I am still spotting, which the doctor said if that continues I have a 70% chance of a successful pregnancy at this point. If the spotting stops, I have an 85% chance of having a successful pregnancy. I feel so much better!
@katy0990 So glad you could see the heartbeat, and so early! I think that's a great sign! And glad you get to keep your due date, it's such a special one. Fingers crossed that the spotting stops soon!
First off, this thread is only 2 days old and I feel so behind. Sorry for not replying specifically to everyone else in the SF fan club, but I don’t remember who exactly said they liked it because I just read a lot of posts in one sitting.
I like SF too! As an Oregonian, I learned at a young age that we are supposed to hate all things CA. I don’t “like” CA that much, but the north part is geographically pretty much the same as OR. It’s just CA gets too hot, and sales tax throws me off & pumping gas is confusing (two things OR’s don’t do), and it’s weird when I go in the ocean and my limbs aren’t immediately numb from the cold. I really do like SF though, it feels just like Portland. The buildings & hills remind me of home, the vibe is similar, and the Bay Area is much cooler than the rest of CA. That’s all of my limited knowledge. Lol (I’ve only been to SF twice).
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? I’m 6 wks 2 days- this was the point my fetus stopped growing last time, but I didn’t know for another 2 weeks when I had my first appointment & u/s (yay for the mind F that is a MMC) 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? I think I still have symptoms. My morning coffee is giving me stomach cramps, which is new. Sore boobs, constipation, strong sense of smell, and really short patience. 3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Lol, I always have anxiety, but luckily no extra pregnancy related anxiety. I’m doing the “I’m pregnant today” thing and just trying to enjoy it for as it lasts. Buying baby clothes and making blankets way “too early”, etc. 4. Any appointment updates? Had blood work & urinalysis done already. First u/s is scheduled for 5/21. After I made the appointment I realized that’s when I’ll be 8 wks 5 days, which is exactly how far along I was when I had the u/s that was the beginning of discovering my previous loss. I’m trying not to think about that. Would it be silly for me to reschedule because of that? I’m worried that I wouldn’t be able to get in until way later and I don’t want to wait any longer than I have to. 5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Nothing exciting this week so far. There’s a spring craft fair tomorrow that I’m going to with MIL. It’s local artisans (think like Etsy shop type stuff). Hoping she doesn’t think I’m weird for buying baby stuff there already. Lol. GTKY: Are you taking a "babymoon"? or any other fun trips this summer? Ok, so another fffc here. My SO & I haven’t been on a solo overnight trip. *gasp*, I know. We’ve only ever vacationed with other people. So yes, I’d like a trip before there’s 3 of us. Lol. I go on trips a lot (mostly to visit my family who all live 2-4 hours away. He always stays behind to watch the cat, and I don’t blame him) I have 2 other summer trips planned. 1) I agreed to help a friend take her kid & mutual friends’ kids on an overnight trip to the coast. I’m bringing my car too because the preteens might need a break from the little kids at some point. We planned this months ago, now the two of us are both pregnant, so the trip should be... interesting. Lol. 2) the summer event I’m most excited about. My niece is visiting for a week for a “you finished Kindergarten epic-summer-kid-vacation”. I’ll have her for July 4th, I signed her up for a day camp at the zoo, I have a bunch of activities planned. I know deep down she wants to visit me because I have Netflix (all of the My Little Pony), but I’m still the cool aunt, for now.
@tumbleweed-1 That's a really personal choice re: rescheduling your appointment. My initial reaction is that you should keep it, since you may not be able to get another appt right away, but if it's going to give you anxiety or undue stress, changing days may be a good idea And OMG I haaaaaate that I can't pump my own gas in OR! I hate having to wait for the attendant to come over, and then waiting for 5-10 minutes once it's done for them to come over and remove the pump. I can do it so much faster myself! I don't miss the CA sales tax, though!
@tumbleweed-1 Like @Hollyyyyy said it's such a personal choice, but I would keep it for the same reasons she laid out - it may be hard to get another appointment soon. I totally get the feeling though. I had incredible anxiety that I would get scheduled on the due date from my MMC and, even though I knew logically it wouldn't impact the outcome, the fear and anxiety is very real. Whatever you decide, I'm crossing my fingers for you for a perfect scan.
...Hoping she doesn’t think I’m weird for buying baby stuff there already. Lol.
Easy! Just say that you were invited to a baby shower and you're shopping off-registry.

@tumbleweed-1 I feel your anxiety. My first us is at 8 weeks 4 days. Exactly the same day as the last time when we saw our precious LO, grown to the right size, but without a heartbeat. My OB said we probably lost it the day before, or even just that day. I'm planning to keep my appt, but totally understand your reservations.
@tumbleweed-1 LOL about supposing to hate CA. When I was in high school, a gal a year ahead of me who’d chosen to go to college in OR came back to visit and reported that everyone hated people from California (and I’m from the central part, which is more like the middle of the country). She was so unhappy. DH and I went up to Portland last summer - it was my first time there (DH has been up to run Hood to Coast before, and actually we were there because one of my friends from grad school did the running 40 miles for his 40th b-day - I may have walked like 5 of those ) Anyhow, I mean no offense, but all of the PacNW seems a lot the same to me - even Vancouver seemed a lot like SF to me. All lovely, just different from further south. DH (being from SF) would love to kidnap me to Portland or Seattle.
It sucks that dates can’t just be dates and appointment dates can’t just be appointment dates anymore. Last year on the EDD for our first pregnancy (also DH’s birthday), we learned that we got our first PGS normal embryo. This year, on what would have been the day before her first (and DH’s) birthday, we got the results of my second beta (for this, our third pregnancy).
I just scheduled my NT scan for the day before our first loss point (11w5d). Seems so far away...I haven’t even graduated from my RE yet and won’t see my OB till 10w5d. But as texas_t said, hopefully your appointment will provide some reassurance this time.

@texas_t I have to call Monday to schedule since my doctor’s office only works a half day on Fridays. I’m assuming that I’ll have the intake appointment at 8 weeks, but I am unsure if they will do another ultrasound. I’m hoping for one to ease my anxiety.
@tumbleweed-1 I completely understand your anxiety about the date. Personally, I would keep the appointment because maybe that will become a more positive day for you. Also, I love that you are doing something special for your niece.
Thanks everyone for your thoughtful advice and sharing similar experiences, I think I’ll keep the appointment. I don’t want to end up waiting until I’m 10 weeks. It would be nice to have a good ultrasound with a heart beat that day. Break the 8 week taboo.
@echo-charlietango good idea, but MIL knows we are expecting, and I’m a terrible liar. I might not get anything, I just want to look at what the have. @artemis618 it annoys me how insular OR acts. It wouldn’t be hurt us so bad that “Californians come up here and buy all our property and jack up prices” if we had a 3 tier tax structure, like the other states (income, property, sales). Because we don’t have he sales tax, but also don’t have a replacement, our property & income taxes are bloated. I don’t want a sales tax, but I don’t have a better solution. That’s mostly why the hate for CA- from what I’ve been told. @katy0990 I’m a sucker for my niece. Lol
I'm way behind on this thread. 1. How far along are you? Any milestones? About 8 weeks. Baby measured 4 days behind at first U/S so not sure exactly. Assuming LO is still alive and well in there I'm past all 3 of my loss milestones.
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Still no real nausea, sometimes I feel icky in the morning and if I need to eat. Boobs are huge.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I was good for a few days after seeing the heartbeat but now that I'm right at the point where baby stopped growing with my first loss my anxiety is high again. The lack of symptoms is still freaking me out too (even though ALL the symptoms proved to mean nothing with my MMC)
4. Any appointment updates? Another ultrasound on Wednesday. Terrified for that one. If everything looks good than I will have my first OB appointment on Friday.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I have one week left until graduation! Unrelated rant, I really wish Dopplers worked this early. GTKY: Are you taking a "babymoon"? or any other fun trips this summer? Probably not a babymoon, but I'm hoping to visit my sister at some point and see some friends in Florida. Also planning on going to a get together with my July '13 BMB in June.

Im going to lose my mind. We had a great ultrasound yesterday where we heard the heartbeat. My spotting seemed to have been letting up. Just a little while ago, I had a gush of red blood. My nurse wants us to go back tomorrow. She thinks I may have a hematoma but the doc looked around yesterday and didn't see anything. She says she is sure the baby is fine, but if I do have a hematoma, we need to know where it is and how to treat.
@lexidawg Ugh I'm sorry. You can't seem to catch a break. Could they see any fluid outside of your uterus? When I had spotting a fee weeks ago, my RE showed my where she could see fluid, but assured me not to be concerned since it was outside of the uterus and would come out eventually. Sure enough, I had more spotting the following day. I also agree with @texas_t sometimes you may spot or bleed a little after a Transvaginal u/s. I hope everything is OK and they can get to the bottom of it sooner the later.
@texas_t I did have a TV ultrasound. I am hoping that is the case. When it happened last week, I hadn't had one so I am SO SO confused.
@Hollyyyyy My RE looked all around on Wednesday and didn't see any fluid or anything at all. That is why I am confused. If it is a SCH, I would think he would have seen it.
I am still bleeding, but less now. At least I get to go in at 7:30am tomorrow and not wait all day.
@lexidawg Sending prayers and good vibes for some answers tomorrow. I am sorry you are going through this. I was having some spotting lady week and it worsened after my TV ultrasound. Hopefully, that is the cause. Please keep us posted.
@lexidawg I'm so sorry you're going through this. Sending good thoughts that everything looks perfect today

I just scheduled my NT scan for the day before our first loss point (11w5d). Seems so far away...I haven’t even graduated from my RE yet and won’t see my OB till 10w5d. But as texas_t said, hopefully your appointment will provide some reassurance this time.

@tumbleweed-1 I completely understand your anxiety about the date. Personally, I would keep the appointment because maybe that will become a more positive day for you. Also, I love that you are doing something special for your niece.
Lol
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
I have one week left until graduation!

@mommythlegend I'm so sorry for your friends loss
@texas_t I did have a TV ultrasound. I am hoping that is the case. When it happened last week, I hadn't had one so I am SO SO confused.
@Hollyyyyy My RE looked all around on Wednesday and didn't see any fluid or anything at all. That is why I am confused. If it is a SCH, I would think he would have seen it.
I am still bleeding, but less now. At least I get to go in at 7:30am tomorrow and not wait all day.
Thanks for all the support.
@lexidawg Sending prayers and good vibes for some answers tomorrow. I am sorry you are going through this. I was having some spotting lady week and it worsened after my TV ultrasound. Hopefully, that is the cause. Please keep us posted.
