How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms); No symptoms yet. Major anxiety until my first US on 5/10.
Questions / comments / concerns; So we were preparing for IVF this summer, so I was working hard to lose weight (down 40 lbs). Then I got KU. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to be here since we'd been trying for almost 2 years, but now I'm having major anxiety about gaining it all back. On one hand it's been great because I can continue with my healthy eating habits and exercise routine, but I have major crisis of conscience when I have a craving and / or am too tired for the gym. I don't want to over do it, but it's a complete mind f--- if you know what I mean!
How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms); The anxiety is rolling in. We have had so many changes (the bfp, buying a house) these last two weeks and I just want to know everything's OK with the bean. My first appointment is 5/11 and it can't come soon enough!
Questions / comments / concerns: I'm also concerned about my weight. We moved about 7 months ago and I had to completely readjust my workout/eating routine. I wanted to be about 25 pounds lighter before the BFP (it was 15, damn you stress and cupcakes) and now I'm totally having second thoughts each time I want a treat. Fortunately, my body is helping and I haven't had many bad cravings, I'm just hungry all the time. Which I now worry isn't good either and it means I'm starving the baby (even though I have fluff and I know their needs get met first and I'm totally irrational right now). I know I'll gain weight for the baby and it's healthy, but it's totally different in my mind if I'm eating well and the gain is to support the baby vs. giving in to any miscellaneous cravings for poor reasons (stress, tiredness, boredom, etc.)
@BitterBetty12 - My DD's birthday is 06/22/17! Now due 01/07/19
Due date / how far along are you; 01/07/19
How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms); Excited! Nervous! Scared! My last pregnancy was perfect, amazingly...I was so nervous about my weight (I was 280 when I conceived) that I threw myself into fits about it. Now this time around I'm nervous about money (of course after having the first!). Feeling very tired and nauseous, and I am sad that I didn't lose more weight before having this one - I'm at 260lb now. I'm going to just still focus on eating well (I'm using weight watchers) but not eating such low portions. Exciting time!
Questions / comments / concerns; Haha, I'm mostly just scared it's twins!!! I have a much more positive outlook after my first pregnancy, but I still want to be cautious. Just staying positive
@RVAmom315 The thought of losing back what you lost when you worked so hard is really daunting! But here’s to hoping your body keeps helping you out and allowing you to workout and eat right!
@catlady1215 I wanted to be about 30 pounds lighter before I got KU! Right now I’m 15 pounds heavier than when I got KU with DD! On one hand I wish I would have lost more first, but on the other I’m tryinf to remember I’m here now and just need to do my best!
@KG8290 Woah! What a small world! I’m glad I’m not the only one in the two under 1.5 club!
Due date / how far along are you; 1/04/19, 4+5,
How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms); Ok. As each day passes and I don’t really pick up many symptoms I get a bit more nervous. I think by this point with DD I was already starting to have food aversions and my boobs were a bit sore. I feel like this time the little symptoms I did have are not so prevelant anymore. But I did have a moment yesterday and took a clearblue digi (my last test) apart and saw a nice blazing like beating the control by a mile. My appointment can’t come soon enough.
Questions / comments / concerns; So while I was pregnant with DD I was lucky enough to lose weight (I was down about 20lbs from my pre pregnancy weight a few weeks after birth). I managed to gain it back with just bad eating but I was still in my normal range. Then in November I started taking 50mg Zoloft for PPA. It was fine until January and then I gained 30 more pounds basically in a month and a half.
I atarted weight watchers a month ago and lost 15 pounds before I got KU. I’m really nowhere near where I want to be. But I’m continuing to use weight watchers to try and help myself eat sensibly. With DD I had major food aversions and a lack of appetite. I’m worried if I don’t have that this time I’ll gain way too much!
Me: 28 DH: 26 Married: November 2015 TTC#1: January 2016 BFP #1: 5/02/16 - MC: 5/27/16 BFP #2: 10/06/16: 6 - EDD: 06/20/17 DD Born 06/23/17 TFAS: April 2018 BFP #3: 03/21/18 - CP BFP #4: 04/23/18 - EDD 01/04/19
@BitterBetty12 I am about 15 lbs heavier than when I got pregnant with DS too. I’m just glad that I wasn’t more than that! My goal is to lose/maintain as I can (I know I’ll gain some) and then after baby really focus on getting back to where I need to be (as this is our last babe)
@BitterBetty12 YES we have to remember that we do the best we can and should treat ourselves with care. We're existing for 2(+) now! @RVAmom315 I am so glad we are month buddies coming over from the infertility boards. @catlady2015 I bought lots of high protien/fiber snacks, trail mix, nuts, etc....one that has cranberries and dark chocolate in it. I figure that while I'm feeling emotionally weak but not super crazy craving anything I will try to eat healthy versions of what I want. I'll save the whacky stuff for further along. We can all do this together! You have a lot of stressful things going on so remember to be kind to yourself @KG8290 love your outlook - Yes, twins would be quite the handful! Due date / how far along are you; 1/7/19 - 4 weeks 2 days
How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms); Definitely anxious. My boobs went up almost a cup size already, and I feel a tension/soreness in my lower abdomen that is getting tenser in my left side. I've felt mildly nauseous, but honestly I think its anxiety-driven. The fatigue is setting in too and my moods are pretty rocky! But whatever, this is all worth it! My bloodwork shows all my levels are going up - today's HCG was 277 and progesterone was 25. Woo! Looking forward to my sono next Friday even though I know I might not hear a heartbeat. Still excited to see something in there!
Questions / comments / concerns; This BFP came on the 4th round of IUI for my wife and me. I was starting to get worried about weight-related hinderances to pregnancy. I am 32 y/o, 5'7 and about 230lbs - a size 18...definitely not what is considered "normal" for my height/age. The thing is I absolutely love my body. It has taken me a longggg time to find body acceptance. I follow a lot of body positivity accounts on instagram and surround myself with messages of self-acceptance. I even wore a high waisted bikini for the first time this past summer-- and I felt F#&KING fantastic in it! The TTC journey has had me seeing the flipside of being overweight. I don't want to do anything drastic now that I'm KO, but I am hoping I can shed a few lbs even just to gain them back later on in the pregnancy. I have a history of buldged discs in my back, and have a large chest. I know I'm in for some tough stuff when (hopefully!) this pregnancy continues and I get bigger. I do Pilates 2-3 times per week and love it. As it's going to get nicer out, I hope to use the summer to continue to a level of fitness that is comfortable for me...and healthy for bebe!
So glad we have this space to check in with each other. I look forward to this journey with you all!
My wife and I have conceived a babe with my body and frozen donor sperm through IUI, with medication support (clomid, ovidrel, and injections of progesterone) IUI #1, #2, and #3: Dec 2017, Jan 2018, and Feb 2018 - all BFN HSG Test: April 2018 - all clear! IUI #4: April 15/16, 2018 - BFP!! EDD: Jan 7, 2019
Due date / how far along are you: 1/5/19 estimated due date 4w4d
How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms): I am staying calm for now, thankfully. We have suffered back to back losses and it's all I can think about. I cannot feel excited about this pregnancy and it honestly sucks.
Questions / comments / concerns: we were not actively trying to conceive because I wanted to focus on my weight loss. I lost 30lbs on weight watchers and I have a long ways to go before I'm at my target goal. I'm a little bummed about gaining it back but we are excited for this opportunity at our rainbow baby!
Due date / how far along are you; I have absolutely no idea.
How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms); I'm super anxious about this pregnancy. I know it doesn't help to worry but I feel like I'm stuck in limbo. I have morning sickness, dizziness, sore breast and I'm running for the bathroom just about every hour.
Questions / comments / concerns; I'm still completely shocked that I'm NEWLY pregnancy since I haven't had a period since Feb 7th due to PCOS. I have no idea where I am in the first trimester which is killing me. Had my first U/S Monday and only saw gestational sac, no yolk sac.
Due date / how far along are you; I believe I am due 1/5, thats whats I guesstimated using a conception calculator since my period has been really weird and I don’t remember the exact date it started last. So that would make me 5 weeks 4 days.
How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms); My husband and I had just decided to start trying for our second and here I am. The only reason I tested was because I was expecting it to be negative but my period has been so weird that I was expecting a negative. I was actually annoyed that I only had a digital because I felt like I was wasting it on a negative. I was sitting there looking on amazon for cheap tests when the test read pregnant. I was shocked. After the shock wore off I am thrilled of course because we have waited a long time to do this. This week has been coming to terms with all the things I can and can’t do now. The last day my uterus has felt alot of stretching. I am truly hoping to be as healthy as I can for this baby. I want to keep up with eating healthier and being active.
Questions / comments / concerns;
Last pregnancy the hcg actually made me loose weight in my first trimester, anyone else experiencing that?
Due date / how far along are you; Due 1/14 and I am 4 weeks 3 days
How are you feeling (anxiety / symptoms); I am a little nervous as right before I found out I was pregnant the doctor told me my cholesterol was high. I know it was from all the fast food I had been eating - back story my husband was working in another state and only home on weekends and I was depressed and eating my emotions. Thankfully now he is home full time and we have been eating healthy home cooked meals and have been walking after dinner at night but I am still really concerned. As far as symptoms my bladder is not the best so I fee like I have to pee every 20 mins. other than that I just have some light cramping, lots of gas and bloating.
Questions / comments / concerns;
This is my first pregnancy and I am 5'0 227lbs which I know is not great however I am just trying to stay positive for a sticky baby and keep on the right track of eating healthy foods and walking as much as I can.
