knock on wood, cross your fingers and toes...

jack has been 3 days without a sleeping spell!! he still has feeding ones, but the nurses say that his ability to snap out of (v. good the past 2 days) and our comfort level (pshaw - this is SO blase at this point) will have more to do with him coming home than not having any feeding ones at all.

i had kinda just been feeling that he would NEVER come home and now it looks like he is on his way...and, oh CRAP the house is NOT ready!! DH is gonna have to suck it up and not get any sleep for the next few days so that we can organize and get ready for him! YAY BABY JACK!!

  • Once they finally turn that corner there is no going back! ?Sounds like little baby Jack is well on his way to doing just that. ?I can totally relate to the house panic. ?All we did was count the hours until our little ones came home and then when the times came it was like, OMG!!! ?We need more time to get ready! ?Good luck and congratulations on your son's progress.

  • Congrats!! Now clean clean clean or rest rest rest. There is ababy coming home and you will be exhausted.
  • Exciting stuff! I'm crossing everything for you!

As for the house... ask people to come over and help! My friends and family came over the weekend before DS came home and cleaned from top to bottom... everything had been neglected for the 3 months he was in the NICU, so it was seriously needed and SO appreciated!

  • AWESOME news!  DD had feeding spells close to going home as well and they said the same thing.  Our house was NOT ready at all.  But you know what, it didn't matter in the least.  She certainly didn't know it and noone that was at the house cared.  We were all just in awe of her and enjoying every moment of her being in our home.  Don't sweat the house stuff ...
  • knocking and crossing over here Smile DH worked so hard on our house too as we closed on it the day before I was put on bed rest.
