    Thanks for starting @loverin!

welcome to the third tri @cseley321 :)

    AFM...

32w5d, we had our second 3D on Monday & I have a regular ob check tomorrow & get my TDap.
Been feeling pretty good!  Itching still but not nearly as bad.  It supposed to be 80 & sunny today so I'm hoping to get some sun on this bump!
DH friends threw us & another couple due 5 days after us a really nice shower on Sunday.  All the baby gear piling up is starting to make things feel real.
also, does anyone else's baby(s) get the hiccups multiple times a day??
  • Loading the player...
  • Hello everyone! Welcome @cseley321!

@aera11 glad the itching seems to be getting better - hopefully it won't be too much of a pain for the rest of your pregnancy. I experienced hiccups for the first time over the weekend, which was so weird! She doesn't get them too often but every now and then, mostly at night.

AFM - 30w6d. Have our "Newborn care" class tonight and a follow up with the MFM tomorrow to check on the placenta function. Little girl is still a wiggle worm so I'm not as stressed going into these appointments. We had our shower this past weekend and it was so much fun. Pretty casual and got a LOT of new born clothes. Hopefully she'll actually be able to wear all of them! Didn't get any diapers or really much off our registry, which I thought was a little odd, but oh well! Have a list of essentials of stuff we need but didn't get (wipes, diapers, bibs, burpclothes, thermometer). My mom literally had an entire suitcase full of baby clothes she had bought - thankfully in some larger sizes. It definitely makes it feel more real! Also went with my parents to purchase the nursery furniture as that was their big gift to us - waiting on the call to set up delivery.

  • Thanks for starting @loverin! Yesterday was an insane day for me I wasn't on TB at all.

I'm 33 weeks! Yesterday was such a busy but great day. I do a home based direct sales business and all of the ladies in my unit through me a surprise baby sprinkle last night! I was so overwhelmed with gratitude and was blown away. I can't believe how much this little girl is loved by so many and she's even born yet! Feeling super thankful. I'm also feeling super large, haha! My feet are hurting now if I don't take a break often enough. I'm definitely feeling myself slow down. We had a huge mom swap this morning which is basically a free market so I got a ton of baby girl clothes, clothes for DS and a few items I'd registered for, all free! It's a great week for scoring baby stuff I guess :)
  • @loverin thanks for starting!!
    @cseley321 Hi Again :)

@mtpbadger Sounds like you had a fun shower that's awesome! If u think u have too much new born stuff maybe u can exchange some of them.

@Aera11 glad to hear the itching is finally getting better!!  I probably get hiccups 2-3x a day. That's how I can let ppl get a chance to feel the baby do a Lil something.

AFM: 34+6 exciting to think I will actually be 9 months soon it's so surreal.  My back is finally starting to feel better but I have to say I'm really tired all the time!  I find myself tripping over my own feet while walking too long.  I just have to make more of an effort to watch where I'm walking and take it easy! I still feel like I'm sitting too long I'm squishing the baby as silly as that sounds.  Have to fill out my registration for the hospital, I keep acting like I have all the time in the world! Go back to both drs in a week and then it's every week!

Guess I should get my hospital bag together, what's every body's must have items??

  • @Hopeful_mom I thought about that but no idea where half the stuff came from and NO ONE (not one single person) gave a gift receipt!!
  • @Aera11 I get the hiccups a couple times a day as well. He actually has hiccups right now. They come a lot of times after eating and I just ate some cheetos and spaghetti for lunch. It was sunny here last week, I got into my bikini (in my private backyard) and sat in my 80 degree hot tub in the sun. I never use it as an actual hot tub, just as a "pool" in the summer to catch some rays. It was nice to be in the warm weather and get a little bit of color on this skin.
@mtpbadger Sounds like a fun shower! Yay on thew nursery furniture. :) We also got minimal gift receipts and kept almost everything. Funny how many people don't go off the registry.
@TravelingCouple How fun of your staff to do that for you. So sweet! My feet are the same. We went and ran errands this weekend looking at new carpet for the house and my feet hurt so badly afterwards.
    @cseley321 Welcome!
@loverin Thanks for starting this week. :)
@Hopeful_mom I feel like I am getting more tired everyday as well... I bought a new lightweight robe for the hospital. Also bought the nursing bras. I guess flip flops and slippers are good as well. The list I downloaded seems like a lot of stuff, so not sure if we will need all of that. I still need to put it all into a bag.

AFM I will be 34 weeks tomorrow. AHHHH. I feel like we still have stuff left to do, but little energy to do it. We want to get all new carpet in the house, so we have been looking around at that.
Baby boy has been moving like crazy and it has gotten to the point where they hurt at times. It seems like he rotated and is now kicking me in my right ovary area which hurts like a b*&$#. Sleeping still sucks and insomnia rears its lovely head a couple nights a week. One night was up until 4am just wishing to sleep. No appts. until 5/15 then move to more frequent appts. I am "ready" for this baby to come out, but not really "ready" if that makes sense. ;)

TTC 4 years. 7 failed IUI's with either Clomid, Femara and/or Trigger Shots. Started IVF journey in February 2017. Polyps removed in May. 1st IVF Transfer September 26th. BFP. Expected due date 6/14/18. Baby boy born 5/25/18 at 6 lb 9 oz. My bundle of joy.
  • @loverin Thanks for starting!

@cseley321 The 3rd trimester will fly by, seriously! Now I'm getting antsy about when the baby will come (any day now!)

@Aera11 I have felt baby hiccup a few times a day, but not every day. On average once a day.

@mtpbadger We got so many newborn clothes at our shower too. I actually tried my best to at least get store credit for them because I actually bought a ton of clothes myself at a deep clearance already lol. That's awful though there are no gift receipts!

@TravelingCouple Aw that's so sweet of your coworkers!

@Hopeful_mom I get tired a lot too, and it's hard to be on my feet especially now they are swollen :( I kind of have a hospital bag packed, but I'm sure I'm gonna throw things in there last minute knowing myself.

@Holls214 I felt that way too, being ready for the baby to come but before full term I knew it was to everyone's benefit if he waited until term.

AFM 39 and a half weeks and counting... twiddling my thumbs here! I finished washing and sterilizing all pump parts and bottles we have, laundered, cleaned the toilets, basically getting ready. I'm a huge procrastinator and in retrospect it would've been so much easier to just get everything taken care of when I wasn't so huge! Next appointment is Thursday morning and I wonder what my OB will say. I want the baby to come on his own. And I started working from home yesterday (thank goodness) because my swelling has gotten out of hand - plus I was tired of being asked the same questions over and over again! (how much longer, you're huge, etc.)

    Hi ladies!!
    Happy new week!
29+3 here and no appts until next week.
We finally built the crib on Sunday & worked on things around the house to prep for baby. I was obsessed with organizing the linen closet...??????? Like seriously, WTF is wrong with me? But now I'm much calmer with a newly organized linen closet. My next victim is the cabinet under the kitchen sink. Obsessed with getting that organized

Whyyyyyyyyy does TB not upload my entire message??? I had messages for all
of you!!! Ugh too tired to retype it all though.
  • @hopeful_mom for the hospital bag, I just packed everything I figured I may need for a 3 day stay in case I had to get a C section (which I did).  Remember, the hospital will supply a looootttt of stuff, like diapers, wipes, etc. basically you need nothing for the baby except the coming home outfit.  I did overpack, but since I was there for like 4 days it was no big deal for my husband to just put the extra stuff in the trunk and take it home if we didn't need it (for instance, i brought my pump because i was hoping that the LC would help me figure out how to use it).
  • Aera11Aera11 member
How was your newborn care class @mtpbadger? So glad your shower was fun! Do you think since you know it's a girl, people were just excited to get you clothes & not registry things?

Happy to hear your back is better @hopeful_mom! Yes, the hiccups are so strong that I can definitely let anyone feel
or see them!  Even the movement is crazy obvious.  This baby just gets the hiccups at least 2-3 times a day if not more & I didn't know if it was normal.  I haven't thought about a hospital bag yet but probably should. We also need to work on a name  :D

Cheetos sounds so good @holls214!  I just had some baked cheddar sour cream ruffles but I'd way rather have cheetos. Sorry about the lack of sleep :( have you tried a unisom or half of one?  I still take 1/2 every now & then so I can get a good nights sleep.  I know it's safe too because it was part of my morning sickness regime.

@helloworld9 omg you're in the final stretch!!!! Let us know what your ob says!
  • Well I can see we're all having trouble sleeping as we're checking TB ;)

@coco305 same exact thing happened to me last week I was furious and exhausted!! And mad at myself I didn't copy it before posting not to lose everything as it has happened before! Glad u r getting organized! I literally did the same thing the other day, fixing our pantry/spare room that has turned into an everything room where you can no longer see the floor...so glad that's one room in better shape!  Now onto the next probably should've started this before 8 months though  :D
@helloworld9 u are truly in the home stretch how exciting!!! You're brave and patient!! How are you feeling?
@Aera11 I'm also starting to think about names too not there yet but a Lil closer!! It's something right ;)
@holls214 glad I'm not the only one eating some nosh here :) my day started with fruit and ended with baked lays and dip.  I just feel like I snacked on crap all day today. Yet I also felt nauseous too definitely an odd day!!
@cseley321 thanks for the info I really need to wrap my head around it!
@TravelingCouple awwwww a sprinkle that's so awesome glad everyone is so excited for your addition as it should be!!

Anyone else dye their hair? My OB said I could in my 2nd tri and I've been waiting but my hair is really feeling just so ratty to me! Anyone else?

  • @travelingcouple that is so sweet that the girls in your unit surprised you!

@hopeful_mom you are in the home stretch! I haven't even thought of a hospital bag yet! I know on my hospital tour they said they supply most things but to bring a going home outfit for baby, you can bring your own pillow (just make sure it is in a pillow case other than white), and anything to make you feel comfortable. I'll probably bring my boppy, a pair of slippers and flip flops, and maybe a robe to wear after birth.

@holls214 I totally get what you mean - you're sort of over pregnancy but the thought of actually having to take care of a newborn scares the sh!t outta me! Mmmm cheetos. Those have been my ONE craving during this pregnancy and I eat a little snack bag at lunch every day. I didn't have any yesterday and legit almost cried standing in front of the pantry when packing my lunch LOL.

@helloworld9 thankfully my sister warned me that everyone at showers gives newborn clothes so we had focused on buying some larger sizes (0-3 and 3-6 mo). I'll just feel bad if shes not able to wear half the stuff people gave her! Oh well. You are almost there! That's so awesome  you can work from home! My office has a telework option but I highly doubt my supervisors would allow me to work from home unless I have a dr note (hmm....maybe I would be able to get one). Can't wait to hear great news soon!

@coco305 welcome to nesting! I just HAD to clean out under the bathroom sink the other weekend. There were much more pressing things to do, but once I got it in my head, I just needed to get it done and felt so much better afterward!

@aera11 the newborn care class was kind of stupid honestly. We watched a 30 min video which had some good information, and then the instructor jumped all over the place for the next 70 minutes. She's a RN/Lactation Consultant so she tended to focus a LOT on breastfeeding and potential issues, which wasn't bad, but there's an entire class on breastfeeding. We briefly (I mean spent about 5 min) on swaddling and diapering and that was about it. I guess I had thought it was going to be different somehow - more of "this is what you can do if your baby has gas; this is how you bathe your baby; etc.", which was covered somewhat but very very briefly. We did get some good hand outs that went over how to add baby to health insurance; numbers to call; schedule for baby's appointments, etc. We have a labor and delivery class next week and then breastfeeding in June so I'm hoping those will be better.

@cseley321 welcome to the third :)

@Aera11 YES on the hiccups! My little man had them like 5 times yesterday. They started out to where only I could feel them around 28 weeks and now you can feel them on my whole stomach. Some people love them and it's cute in theory, but I get a little annoyed by them too  :p It's cute how annoyed he gets by them though, he starts moving a lot when he has them!

@mtpbadger Yay for showers! We got a ton of stuff that wasn't on our registry that we also didn't get reciepts for. We've gone through and tried to figure out the store if we can (we got some stuff from Carters, Target, and Walmart, we figured out by googling) that we'll be taking back for the same reason. We got a lot of either newborn clothes or just clothes that I know we won't use. So maybe try googling the brand and see if any specific stores pop up selling those clothes?

@TravelingCouple how sweet that they did that for you! I'm so glad you got some of the things you want/need for her

@Hopeful_mom it's getting real huh?! I can feel myself slowing down as well, it's crazy how your body makes it reality this last trimester, I feel like an old lady cause I walk so slow! One of the things I've seen that I wouldn't have thought to pack in the hospital bag is nipple cream if you plan to try and breast feed at all. I would have thought to wait until I'm home to need that but apparently it helps alot to start with it to help protect! I'm thinking I'll pack mine in the next week or 2. Also, I've colored my hair /highlighted since 13 weeks!

@Holls214 I'm right with you on being ready but not ready. I'm not ready to not feel him kick (although I agree it has gotten much more uncomfortable in the last 2 weeks :grimace: ) cause I love that feeling but I'm ready to have my body back to where I can eat at 7 and not throw up or can not worry about every little thing and if it's something I should be worried about. And I'm ready to meet him  maybe just not ready for all that comes with that quite yet lol

@helloworld9 so close! are you dilated at all or effaced at this point?

AFM 34 weeks tomorrow! Crazy. We had birthing class last Saturday which was good. Enough information to feel informed but not so much that I was more freaked out than I already am. I will say sitting through a 9 hour class at 33 weeks pregnant is not super comfortable, I can't stay in one position for long before something starts to hurt so I was constantly moving around. We have an ultrasound tomorrow at the high risk doctor to check on our little man's kidney. Short backstory - during our anatomy ultrasound they found that one of the tubes draining to his bladder from his kidney was 1mm larger than "normal". They weren't concerned but have to check it because it's outside the normal range so we had another AS at 23 weeks, it was still the same. So the one tomorrow is to see if it's resolved itself. Even if it hasn't, as long as it hasn't gotten worse I don't think they're worried. So I'm hoping that maybe we can see his little face, he's been head down and impossible to see even at 23 weeks! He's very open about being a boy though  Then on Friday we have my normal check up with my doctor and then we are off for a short but much needed babymoon! We are going to a place that has a pool and I'm drooling just thinking about it. My husband so doesn't understand why I've looked forward to that since around December haha I'm beyond excited and glad we're doing it now! We've got the nursery set up and now it's just organizing everything, I'm loving getting everything ready

@mtpbadger ahh gotcha, yeah I'd for sure assume they'd focus on safety bathing diapering etc but any breastfeeding tips are helpful too!

    @loverin omg 9 hours? I couldn't...I'd be so antsy!
  • Aera11Aera11 member

    Happy HDBD! 33 weeks :)
  • @Hopeful_mom I have highlighted my hair twice since being pregnant. I couldn't take it anymore. I have a good friend who is a stylist and just had twins and she was doing people's hair up until 8 months, so I didn't stress about it too much.
@Aera11 Your outfits are seriously so cute!! :) I am just sitting over here in my underwear and a t-shirt at my desk working at home haha.
  • @Aera11 - Yes to hickups! multiple times per day, and often in the evening right when I get to bed.

@Holls214 - I get what you're saying about being ready, but not really ready. It's weird, I always looked at other pregnant ladies and assumed how they feel. Now that I'm pregnant myself, and oh-so-close to the due date, it's totally different from what I've assumed. I'm ready to meet my baby in person, but I don't think I'll be ready to actually "be mom" till the baby is in my arms.

@Hopeful_mom - I did highlights in 2nd trimester. Now I'm making and appointment to tint eyebrows and lashes. They've already dissapeared off my face into blond fluff (thanks, genetics). Since I'm not planning to bring any makeup to the hospital, and would like to have a decent first picture with the baby :) While at the salon, they do free bangs trim, so I'll get that too.

AFM, I'm looking forward to my Fri OB appointment (will be 35 weeks then). I think I finaly gained a pound or two, belly if definitely getting bigger, and we'll be discussing my birth plan! And right after that, we have a weekend-long labor&delivery class to attend - how exciting! Hopefully they'll have plenty of breaks, since it'll be 7 hours each day, class full of pregnant ladies :) Then I will need to wait for another 2 weeks to have the last U/S to check the baby positioning (at 37 weeks).
Lots of very intence movements from the baby. And pretty much constant bladder pressure. Ouch. I'm still sleeping ok, but having harder time finding a comfortable position in the evening (plus all the kicking), so most of the deep sleep happens towards the morning hours.
Sitting in the office for 8 hours is now pretty much impossible, so I tend to come in late and leave early.I talked to my manager yesterday about how my physical discomfort is now starting to affect productivity. He was very understanding, and told me to do what I need to do to be comfortable and work remotely whenever want. So I'm beginning to plan how to hand off my projects to others, and will probably be working exclusively from home starting in 2-3 weeks. As much as I planned to work till I go into labor, now I'm thinking of taking sick leave the last week before the due date. I have about 1.5 weeks of sick leave left this year, plus a week of vacation, so this should be enough, even if the baby goes past due date.

  • @aera11 love the dress and bump!!

@fuzzydust you’re getting close! That’s awesome you’ll be able to do some stuff from home and then take time off before the baby is born. I’m still trying to figure out my leave and everything. Guess I should get on that!

Bump pic! Is it weird that only the last week or two I’ve actually felt pregnant?? I don’t know if it’s cuz my bump grew or what. And it definitely grew!! MFM appt went well - placenta function looks good and I’ll go back Monday to measure her growth. I know my belly has gotten bigger so hopefully that means she has too! I can’t imagine what this belly is gonna look like In another two months....yikes!

  • @FuzzyDust Exactly how I feel as well about actually having the baby... Are you getting your lashes permed and tinted? I have been wanting to do that because my eyelashes can't even handle mascara with the pregnancy. They are so short for some reason. I have been exclusively working from home, which is kind of boring, but sitting at the office all day sounds horrible as well. I think I am with you on taking a little time before the baby comes and being done with work.
@mtpbadger Love that dress. Bump looks great! Glad everything went well at your appt.

  • Happy (Belated) bump day :)
Baby and I are in the home stretch!!! I was 3cm dilated yesterday at my appointment!! Dr. says I'm unlikely to go past my due date at this point and IF I'm still pregnant at my appointment next week (39w2d) we can consider sweeping my membranes to get things started... Not sure if I should do this or not, I'd prefer baby chooses when she comes.. We'll see.

@hopefulmom I want to dye my hair after this baby comes; I can never do fun colors because of needing to look professional for my job, but I have the summer off, so I want to put some purple streaks in under my layers :)

    All these beautiful baby bumps!!!!!!

i don't think I've experienced the baby hiccups yet.
Regarding dying my hair, I did it at 19 weeks and again at 29. I have a lot of gray hair to cover, my hairdresser uses an organic, ammonia free dye...how the eff is hair dye organic anyhow???
So when do the checkups at the OB become internal?? I have my 30
week appt next week, but I'm assuming it's still too early for that.
@ReesaAnne16  how exciting!! Good luck this next week.
@Holls214 looking good!! If I worked fro
home, I'd be so happy. As it is, I want to work in pajamas all day everyday. It took so much effort to put on jeans today. But I couldn't do another day of leggings without feeling judged
    @loverin love the accent wall
@fuzzydust ugh I'm sure the sitting is becoming awful. I do not look forward to that.

So question...anyone else's boss in denial that you will be going on maternity leave??? He refuses to discuss next steps and what he's going to do in my absence. He keeps pushing it to "next week"
  • Beautiful bump photos ladies!

I just had my 40w ish OB appointment. She did a cervical check, still closed. :( She says I should come in early next week for an ultrasound to check fluid levels and to do a NST. If nothing happens by 41w, she wants to induce at 41+2. She says the risk of stillbirth increases after 41w which is frightening to me. I'm trying to think of ways to get this baby going!! She says sex and a membrane sweep are the only ways she knows would work. So I guess I better get my groove on with my husband every night now, which the thought to me this late in pregnancy seems really difficult to do logistically. I'm reading online about walking, bouncing on a yoga ball, climbing stairs (this sounds like torture), pumping your breast, etc.I guess I can try walking the mall a bit later. I'm a bit scared of pitocin since I've read it can make contractions really painful.

  • Looking good ladies! Love the shiplap wall.
@coco305 I used regular dye. I didn’t know they have organic stuff. My boss isn’t around much so I had to arrange who was doing what for my maternity leave. I see my boss like once a month maybe.
@helloworld9 I had a friend who did the castor oil thing and had sex to induce the baby. It worked for her. I don’t know much about the castor oil though... hopefully baby will come soon!! Thinking about you.

  • @helloworld9 there are pressure points to help induce labor too! Red raspberry leaf tea if you're not already drinking it. I second castor oil, my Doula said that'll be our go to if I'm late and they mention induction
  • @helloworld9 I had luck with pressure points and acupuncture getting contractions started. Squats are also great. If you have an exercise ball, sitting and rolling my hips in big circles worked. In the end, I could never keep contractions going because her head was stuck, but these all got them started!

@helloworld9 oh my! Definitely try raspberry leaf tea, pressure points, walking, yoga balls, the works! Regarding sex, is it intercourse/semen that gets it going or is it an orgasm? Cause yeah,  maneuvering sex at 9months cannot be easy.
@Holls214 lol TBH I think organic hair dye is bs, it's like saying I pump organic gasoline. But it has a lot less chemicals than regular hair dye, and it covers my grays...so win/win
  • Nooooooo to castor oil. That is super dangerous. Yes, it does work but is not worth the risks.

@Holls214 - I'm doing just the tint - eyebrows and lashes. I only found one salon that does the lashes. They recommend to repeat every 4 weeks, but who has the time and money. I wait till mine get back to the normal blond state before coming back in, usually every 2 months or so.

@coco305 - I'm 35w, still no internal exam, and I think it's optional anyways, unless you start having labor symptomps. So weird about your boss, maybe he's just not comfortable talking about it. My old boss became very uneasy when I told him I was pregnant, averted his eye, mumbled "we'll take care of you", and left my office :D My new boss is very supportive though, as he had a kid recently, so he undersands that at 8 month pregnant the physical discomfort affects my work, and he just asks that I prep a doc describing my projects and who'll be handling what when I'm out.

@helloworld9 - I have a co-worker who had her membraines sweeped for both of her pregnancies and went into labor the next day each time.

AFM, I just had my 35 weeks appointment, and yay - gained 3 pounds from 2 weeks ago (I lost weight back then), and fundal height is now 36cm (1 week ahead, when 2 weeks ago I was a week behind!). Also, from just feeling my baby, dr thinks he is head down!! That's another yay (baby was horizontal at 28 weeks)! She scheduled u/s next week to confirm.
Since I've been feeling less movements in the last 3 days, they also did a non-stress test, and the baby looks beautiful on it. It was interesting to see that while resting HB is about 120, it sometimes goes as low as just over 100, and right after a movement it spikes to 140ish. So for anyone freaking out about HB measurement at the appointment - it's quite a range.
Another thing that the test reveled is that I'm having quite regular contractions
The doctor told me to talk to the baby about staying put for at least another week, since she's not on call this weekend. I'm pretty sure I had those for at least a week now, just wasn't able to recognize it (or distinguish from regular baby pressure/stretching) till I could see the immediate feedback from the machine.

  • @fuzzydust that's crazy that you are having regular contractions!! What exactly do they feel like? I feel like I have a lot of "streching" or baby pushing her feet out (it's always right near where her feet hang out) and I talked to my OB about it at my last appt and she said it could either be that or localized braxton hicks which are both totally normal. Just wondering what the difference could be out of curiosity.

I went to a baseball game yesterday and am worried I overdid it. It was the first HOT day here, 90+ and slightly humid. Granted we weren't really walking around, just sitting in the sun for a few innings and then moved to a shady section higher up and I was drinking plenty of water. Usually I can tolerate heat fairly well but ppl weren't kidding when they said pregnant women's bodies run warmer than normal, I was miserable! Baby is still moving fairly regularly so I'm not too worried, she just feels lower than normal and some pressure lower than I've noticed before. I have a check with the MFM on Monday so looking forward to seeing her again!
  • mtpbadger - It feels almost like a baby is pressing on the top part of my tummy (right under boobs), it gradually becoms stronger (tighter), then peaks and slowly releases. During it the whole belly becomes rock-hard. Mine were about 5 mins apart, 1 min long each, and continued through the whole NST (~25 mins). There is no pain with it, so I'll keep assuming it's BH for now, even though they are pretty regular  :# I could track it on the machine, as there was a separate sensor for it, so every time I felt the pressure, I could see if it's the baby or a contraction. Back home without the monitor it's hard to tell the difference again.

  • Everyone's bumps r looking good!!! @Holls214 I feel like u first have a bump now! So cute!!

@coco305 my first internal was at my high risk dr during my anatomy scan checking my cervix.  I go this week 36w where they do a strep test which is internal so u probably still have some time.

@FuzzyDust @mtpbadger that's very interesting that your OB Called those BH.  I didn't  think they were contractions.  I get that numbing feeling under my right boob as well...feels like the area is falling asleep.  I just thought the baby was trying to kick out through my ribs.  My OB did say that we have nerves on our ribs and that's why I'm in pain.  I stretch my arm over my head trying to give more room.  Very interesting for sure!!

thanks for all the hair dye info I think I'm gonna go for it in about another week or so.

@helloworld9 you're so close hoping you'll go soon!! I've been terrified to have sex that it's funny it's recommended at the end...I do think itsfor the orgasm to help, you should double check!!  Good luck mama!!

  • @helloworld9 it's actually for semen that you have sex to bring on labor. It's supposed to naturally efface the cervix
  • Hopeful_mom - it doesn't really feel numb, it's just uterus tightening, but it definitely starts from the top. And it clearly registered by the machine as a contraction (and you can see how it's consistent and gradual up and down).

My belly keeps getting rock hard and I feel it. It's tightened before, but now I'm feeling it, usually after I eat or if I'm walking too much. Anyone else??
  • @coco305 yes! I was just telling DH walking back to the car (after yet another baseball game) that I kept getting these tightening sensations as we were walking. I’m not sure if she’s just moving around in there when I’m walking, if they’re BH or what.
  • Aera11Aera11 member
Yes to the Braxton hicks!  Two nights ago they were so strong I needed to sit down.  The tightening of the stomach is crazy weird! It gets so hard & sticks out so much.
