After finding out that we're having a girl this morning all I want to do is shop lol. With DS since he was our first we were bombarded with a TON of clothes and so much stuff that we didn't need to buy much for a long time. I totally have the option of getting clothes from my SIL, but I kind of want to pick things out myself. So not focused at work, oh well!
Bathroom reno is coming along, floor will be put down today, walls are getting prepped for paint. Can't wait for the finished version!
Also, H is out of town tonight through Wednesday so I'll be on my own with my monster, I mean toddler. Almost 2 year olds are so pleasant all the time.
My husband is in a job interview right now that could drastically change things for our family. Also, there's speculation that there will be an announcement tomorrow regarding a significant change in the company I'm working at. Needless to say, I'm doing diddly squat right now.
@nlc8424 Haha I felt the same way! I keep wanting to buy baby clothes! That's why I made the list of necessary things to purchase to focus on. Otherwise LO will end up with 100s of pieces of clothes and no diapers. Yay for new floors! What did you choose?
H is out of town here too. I'm having a rather up and down day. Great meeting with a new realtor, new matching dog collars came in, the house is clean. But my only remaining mover quit and I have to go to the DMV to register my car since it's late. I'm hoping to have some time this week to finish painting the nursery. The local ReStore keeps getting laminate flooring in and I'd love to get at least enough to put in the nursery! If not the entire upstairs.
trying to recover from too much busy this weekend, but it's not going great with two appointments, and 3 errands to run. ick. my body is sore. Crossing fingers that puppy's first follow up looks good.

I’ve spent the entire day so far shopping for couches online instead of working. I’m starting to feel a little guilty about it, but I still haven’t found anything I really like. I’m hoping we can get all the new furniture we need for the house and the nursery this week.
For the first time in a week, I’ve felt completely normal today.
DS got the stomach bug last Monday and so generously shared it with me. The worst of it was last Tuesday, but I was feeling off for the rest of the week. Then I got a smaller second wave yesterday morning. Today is a good day!!
There have ave been a few of us saying how opinionated family has already been, and I am sure we have many more opinions coming our way. Thought this was a good reminder
@nlc8424 I'm kind of the same way... But with bows!!!! My best friend has purchased all of the baby's 0-6 month clothing. It's gender neutral clothing so Polly will need some bows. DH has already recommended me closing the etsy account.

We met with a realtor last night to decide on whether to move now or wait a year and we’ve decided to wait one more year. We’d have to have everything going and decided in the next few weeks to make it for this season and we just aren’t ready yet.
So now I can turn my attention to nursery stuff since I know we are staying!
@stothi Yay!!! So happy for you that YH is finally home!

I am never hosting another shower ever again. Most especially one that is located half a dozen states away, where I have zero local knowledge. Luckily, 95% of the prep is finally done and the rest will get done when I arrive on Friday. Plus side is that things have fallen into place and it is all coming together much better than I would have guessed a month ago. Thankfully.
In other upside: have my chiro consult with a new doc at lunch today. My other one relocated far enough away to make it inconvenient.
@stothi HURRAY!! The wait is over! ... time for a mama get away!
Totally random: I’m 90% sure we are done adter this kid, but if it’s a boy... we’ll have used the names we were saving, and would go team green the 3rd time and name the baby Jack/Jackie from the get go boy or girl. Basically reversing how we’ve always done it. I kinda wanna so that anyways, like enough that I’m not considering using Jackie as a girl name for this pregnancy. Even though we are totally done w 2. *insert eyeroll emoji*

I spoke too soon yesterday. Now I’ve got a freaking cold. Ugh. The stomach bug is finally gone, I get one day of feeling good, and last night I could barely breathe and thus, couldn’t sleep. Ugh. So thankful for nasal spray and Benadryl right now.
@JLyn821 yes nasal spray for the win! I think it works so much better than cold medicine though I still can't convince DH to try it. Rest up and feel better soon!
@jhjocelyn Beware!!! We were pretty sure we were done after kid3 (as in we were trying to decide if one of us should get fixed) and after infertility x3 what was one month not preventing?!?!?!? ....kid#4!

We test drove a suburban last night in the generation that we would likely buy one of. We're not going to buy that specific one but since we've been seriously thinking about buying one (and probably won't be able to test drive it first - small town life) it was nice to actually test drive one!

Related to the talk of feeling done, I am hoping I may suddenly feel done after this one. I’m not holding my breath, and H and I are already talking about when to try for #5. Our first two (girls) are 22 months apart and our third and fourth (boys) will be 23 months apart. I’m planning to just go for it again about 2 years after this and then pray we feel done. H mentioned taking another 3 year break and then going for another twosome ha! We’ll see. I’m crossing my fingers that “feeling done” will happen in the mean time. We both turned 30 in the last two months so hopefully time is on our side.

Oh and @nlc8424 and others, enjoy the shopping! I found out I’m having another boy who will be born in the same season as my last boy so I won’t be buying anything. Womp womp. (I have a lot of girl stuff but it starts with new baby sizes in the spring season and it’s been through my two girls and my niece so I could have reasoned my way into a some shopping for a girl!)

DH felt a kick on the outside tonight! Baby was being super active after a few days of not a whole lot of movement. DH put his hand on my belly and she gave one of the biggest kicks yet! I said "OK you have to have felt that!" He said "That was her? That wasn't your stomach?" LOL no! That was definitely her!

I'll never catch up on the past 5 days but hi, I'm alive.
Bachelorette party was fun and the stripper wasn't even that bad because he didn't get totally naked and when he came over to dance on me and I just said "thanks but I'm pregnant" and he left me alone so it was actually pretty amusing.
The less than stellar part was that DS had a stomach bug last week and I caught it. I spent most of Saturday evening at the bachelorette party throwing up (at the time I thought it was because I went too long between breakfast and lunch) somehow was fine for the drive home Sunday, then TMI spent all Monday requiring a bathroom and a bucket. Stomach has settled for the most part but I'm still having a hard time drinking more than a couple sips of water or Gatorade at a time so I've been trying to decide if I need to call my OB about fluids.
I usually drink more in a day than I've managed to drink in the past 4 days combined so I'm feeling pretty run down and wiped out. Doesn't help it's month-end at work so we're really busy.

@DanyTargaryen Ick, boo to stomach bug! If you're not peeing at least every 3 hours and/or your pee is very yellow/dark or smelly, I would say you need fluids. Or if you start having even painless contractions at a close interval. If not, I would myself take a wait and see approach. You may want to try Popsicles or any fruit or veggies with high water content that you can stomach, that can help a lot. You probably do need salt replaced too-that helps us actually hold onto the water in our system.

So chips and the watered down Gatorade I'm working on right now were probably a good choice!
I actually just left my OB's office a message. Hopefully they'll tell me to just keep trying to sip away but after writing my post it made me realize I've been fighting this long enough that they should probably have some input in what I'm doing.

I feel like an almost new person after taking benadryl last night plus my allergy pill, I've had so much sinus pressure it's been terrible.
I've been enjoying 70+ weather with sun this week and it's been fabulous. DS has been outside almost every day and playing hard which makes him a happy camper. Hope that everyone else has made it out of winter too at this point, would love to see some more garden/planting pictures since we won't be doing any this year.
