I’m thankful the rain finally stopped and it is sunny and gorgeous outside (even if the weather change does bring me a headache). I’m also thankful one of my BFFs is visiting this weekend with her H and two little kiddos. She’s doesn’t know I’m pregnant yet and I get to tell her in person.
I’m grateful for science and technology- even some of the low tech stuff. I can’t imagine doing laundry right now without a washing machine. But - even better!
I finally got to hear baby’s heartbeat last night. I know! I know! I’ve been able to see it on the ultrasounds, but this was so much different. I bought a fetoscope instead of a doppler (cost and paranoia, also a bit harder to use, so I don’t think I’ll decide I want to listen all the time). It was incredible to hear.
My bosses got me flowers and a really nice card that they both wrote in for administrative professionals' day yesterday (i had no idea until my sister told me when i was confused as to why...although they do get me flowers occasionally just to brighten up my desk). It is a tiny office, just the two of them and me, so it is really fun to feel so appreciated!
Also, we had a talk about my (at least tentative) plans for when baby comes and they are open to whatever i choose to do but also told me i am welcome to bring baby here any time if that makes things easier for me. It would certainly work given the environment and the work i am doing, so i am glad they suggested it!
I’m thankful I got to put in a formal complaint today for an entitled bitchy co-worker I can’t stand about how she treated one of the new-ish servers. It did my pregnant heart so much good! I also told them how she refused to watch my empty section for 2 minutes while I ran to the bathroom. I asked nicely but she didn’t want to go back up the stairs so she just said no, she didn’t feel like it!!!! WTAF bitch?! Don’t ever tell a pregnant woman she can’t pee because you’re a lazy pos.
That everything is just normal.. We get to see avengers tomorrow and get to know the gender on Saturday. I'm happy right now.. My son is taking a walk in the stroller with my mom and I'm watching greys anatomy.
That i made it through a 12 hour shift today, and I'm starting to feel better!!! Still can't breath out of my nose but I'm feeling all around better so that's great!!(:
I posted this in a different thread but I am so thankful we got our NIPT results and everything came back negative/low risk AND we found out we're having a little girl! Since then, I've also been thankful to see how excited my husband is about it; I love how he talks to her and puts his hand on my belly to say hi all the time.

Struggling with thankfulness today, as I'm a pretty crabby bitch.
Cant wait for anatomy scan!
"Babe. Do you need waffles for dinner?"
