What’s everyone stocking snack-wise in their fridge right now? I need to get groceries but I can’t think of a single snack that sounds good except frozen Totino’s pizza. I’ve been into cold things lately. Lots of fruit and yogurt but they don’t sustain me for long before I’m starving again. I want to look on Pinterest but photos of food are grossing me out. So ready for these food aversions to be over with...
@MouseMama817 I've been eating a lot of yogurt lately. Some other ideas are cheese and crackers, apples (I like to keep mine in the fridge so they're crisp and cool) with peanut butter, um...I'm having trouble thinking of things that are cold. What about smoothies? Frozen berries, bananas, and orange juice is always a winner. Add some yogurt (or protein powder if you can stomach it) for some protein. You could also do bananas and peanut butter with milk. I'm not the greatest at snack ideas. I probably eat too many granola bars and other packaged snacks for convenience. I pack our lunches every day for work/school, and trying to think outside the box gets old and takes too much time.
I have started to stock up on energy jelly (I don’t think they sell that back home stateside, but I guess it’s kind of like what runners use). Full of vitamins and about 200 cal each, doesn’t taste horrible. Weird to think I’m actively seeking ways to get calories in.. nausea you suck.
Mealwise I want anything with vinegar. I didn’t teally pick up until I made a meal where every dish was full of it.. whoops! Been drinking a ton of OJ and milk, too. Other than that all other foods suck until I’m ravenously hungry enough to take about 5 bites.
dragged my overeating ass to get a salad from my favorite mexican place (they have an amazing salad option there).. walked out with a burrito instead. #cantstopwontstop
@pink_polkadots That does sound delicious. I made DH go out for Taco Bell last night and I’m about to make him go out again for watermelon and pineapple. I don’t have crazy nausea, just a generally unsettled stomach and insane food aversion— I can hardly stand to go in our kitchen right now.

Got a package of mini chocolate croissants from the store this weekend. Hadn't had one in AGES. O.M.G... sooooo good. Heat it up in the microwave for about 20 seconds, let it cool and enjoy. #mouthgasm

almost nothing unfortunately. I'm currently having a hard time finding anything that appeals to me. I'm normally someone who loves food, so I never imagined I'd be one of the people having to force food down.
I am not really hungry for anything and am having a hard time eating any meat at all. Does anyone have any suggestions for something easy and protein filled?

Hello! Don't forget to change your screen name on The Knot's website so we can all get to know you better and remember who you are! It's hard to remember all the knotties.
As for protein, how about greek yogurt, peanut butter, or cheese sticks? You could also get some protein powder if you can stomach it. I mix protein powder in a blender with a banana, peanut butter, milk, and some ice cubes and it's delicious and has tons of protein!
I just finished a taco salad that I made out of leftovers from last nights burritos and now I'm sad cause I ate it all. It was soooooo good! BABY WANTS MOAR FOOD!!!! OM NOM NOM NOM! Btw have I mentioned I am RAVENOUS today.

Pretty much everything sounds disgusting but i’ve been obsessed with cherry tomatoes/carrots/cucumbers dipped in hidden valley ranch. Oh and vanilla bean ice cream! I havent really thrown up but i have no desire to eat until im ravenous and nauseaous. Its a vicious cycle!
apparently my fat ass has gained too much weight already i guess I'll try to tone back the french fries and chocolate until I feel comfortable working out. I guess I do look 4 months pregnant and I'm 10 weeks.. can't blame it all on bloat! womp womp, been loving the burritos and muffins.
Thankfully I'm not vomiting and after changing from a prenatal with iron, to one without, my nausea is finally almost gone! I begrudgingly eat super healthy. I'm not the cook in my family (so I feel too guilty to complain), so even when I want some good ol' "American shit food" (anything from a box) my australian wife gives me salads, kale, grilled meats, fruit, eggs, granola, yogurt... clean and healthy. However, I was finally able to negotiate a classic american cheesy chicken and spinach casserole- and it was amazing. She said she'd make me any American dish I wanted and I swear i googled for about 2 hours trying to find the perfect pasta cheesy goodness recipe. She is also promising to make me homemade mac and cheese this week (we live on an remote island so cant get my favorite kraft mac and cheese) and i'm so excited- almost makes the horror of eating another kale salad for lunch go away.... almost.
Re: What My Pregnant Self is Eating (April)
Also gagging on most veggies, but force down smoothies with hidden spinach semi regularly!
