I’m irritated today because my husband and I got asked by his siblings what we are doing for his mom for mother’s day. First of all I have my mother and grandmother to consider, and I’m also a mom. I get so frustrated by mother’s day because it’s only one day, and even though I’m a mom I’m usually running around trying to please others. I’m thinking of telling both our families we can celebrate on different days and taking the real mother’s day to relax with DH. Either that or just saying screw it and splitting the day in half. Maybe if I’m lucky I’ll get a foot massage or something.
@missybutler94 ugh this is my pet peeve about the day. We get back from vacation the day before and I just want to relax at home with DH and DS and maybe be a little pampered—not drive 30 mins to spend Sunday with MIL
That’s also my BF about mother’s day. My moms family always wants to go out for brunch at 10am, but at a restaurant over an hour away. That means we’re leaving the house around 8:30am, so I get up around 6am to make sure we’re all showered, dressed, & ready. Not happening this year. DH is working that day, and I’m not dragging DS that far when I can sleep in.
My BF is that I haven’t been active because this damn app was acting crappy but now it seems back to its old less crappy self. Come on, TB, apps aren’t new!!
We got a new fridge delivered yesterday and the delivery guys wouldn’t hook up the water line and DH and I couldn’t get it to work without leaking, so now we have to wait for a plumber. And instead of it being a fun new thing it turned into a huge fight. Ugh.
Frickity frack... my insulin pen broke while I was doing my lunch shot. I don't know who to call - my prescribing physician? My pharmacy? And I'm annoyed because I calculate out my carbs for the correct dosage so I'm just kinda crossing my fingers that I got the right dose.
My MIL told my fiance that she looked through my registry and "just didn't like anything". I have been bitter about it for about 3 days now(not constantly I am not that psycho). I realize it's a silly thing to be upset about but I can't shake it. I made sure our registry had a bunch of things at different price points and was all stuff we need and to hear that she didn't like anything made me feel like all that effort and research was wasted.

Your MIL can go sit on a stick. Its not up to her to like the things you find useful or needed. You put them there because they are what you will use, wanted, or thought would be a nice addition.

Yea that is something he should not have told you. I would be pissed to because she is basically saying she doesn’t like your taste. I would tell him to tell her she doesn’t need to buy anything. UGH!
