@calimom2524 Yes girl! It totally bought a package of those yummy grocery store frosted cookies the other day. The checkout guy asked me if I was going to share and I said, "what do you think?" haha, never!
@mrsbubbles-2 DH won’t eat anything but velveeta! I could go either way, but I grew up on Kraft and I like to put one noodle on each prong of my fork. The proper way to eat Mac and cheese!
This may be a random, may be an early FFFC: I am the adviser of an honor society on campus and yesterday was the initiation ceremony. We took a group photo (11, including me) and we were staged in this kind of arc. I was closest to the camera, and you know how when you are closest to the camera, you look a LOT bigger than everyone else? And then when you are pregnant, you actually ARE bigger than everyone else? Well my physical reality and the optical outcomes of my placement in the picture resulted in a seriously BAD picture! When the marketing person sent it to me, I immediately cropped myself out, before sending it onward to the appropriate people, lol.
I do not discriminate on the mac and cheese. Orange powder, weird squeezy kind of liquid in a silver bag? I'll take it. Give me all of the mac and cheese.
@neeraja_k are they able to put you on a sliding scale for insulin? We did that with mine and now I am able to "splurge" a little when I am feeling extra sassy.

This. 100%.
Although I can’t do the cheap, store brand stuff. It has to at least be Kraft glue-like cheese. A girl has standards.
@mrsbubbles-2 it's my nutritionist. She is the only reasonable one lol. She understands the pregnancy cravings. If it were up to my mfm he would probably say NO cause he is a dick nugget. And we are still on the search for an OB who I like. I am really not an unreasonable person lol.
I will take mac and cheese or basically cheese in general any way I can get it. But, I will say that sometimes I order gourmet mac and cheese out and I am disappointed with it. Like it's a little too "not fake" for me.
@Brezzy1928 - omg yes! There are things that just don't need to go in mac n cheese. No truffle oil please and thank you! @hoodwink89 - girl my nutritionist is my biggest problem right now! I have 3 and the one I saw on Monday is my least favorite. Like, I know my body is an asshole, can we please find a good balance of meds and diet so I'm not starving but my sugars stay under control? Is that too much to ask? Sorry, pity party table for 1. That's awesome that you're working with someone that is sane lol!
Now I want some mac and cheese. My coworker did bring me some fries from Wendy's and those were delicious. But now I'm sitting here thinking, oohhh cheese fries would've been even better...
I've tolerated dairy so much better since becoming pg (lactose intolerant), so I basically am making up for lost time at this point when it comes to cheese.
@mrsbubbles-2 I recently discovered he'll eat sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans cold. He won't eat them heated up. But now he's at least eating vegetables!!!!
Fancy mac and cheese is stupid. I ordered some the other day and it came out white with bread crumbs on top. Excuse me miss, what is this crap on my mac and cheese?
I am also gonna throw some shade at fancy grilled cheese. There is a restaurant in town that sells gourmet grilled cheese and tomato soup. My main problems are 1. Once you throw meat on a grilled cheese (other than bacon) it is a hot sandwich or panini and 2. It's yucky fancy tomato soup not runny Campbell's like it should be. I don't want basil in there. You can make a grilled cheese out of any cheese(s) you want but, once you start throwing in pulled pork and herbed chicken I'm out. It isn't fancy food and that is the point. Stop hipstering stuff!
The hipsters just need to stay away from the food. Grilled cheese is bread and cheese. Tomato soup is the runny sodium filled crap from Campbell's. Anything else can get the hell out.
I made fried rice last night with leftovers from my mom's fridge. She liked it so much that she asked me to make more today for her to take to work for dinner. I made two giant pans of chicken fried rice with veggies and eggs, and have nearly finished one of already. It's really satisfying all of my cravings right now

@calimom2524 random discovery- there's this kosher boxed Mac and cheese called Wacky Mac, and it's probably the best boxed Mac and cheese I've ever had.

Getting caught up around here, the past few days have been trying. My daughter had a stomach bug and my son is teething. Great times all around.
