@lalala2004 Not yet, but I got a pack that was on sale on Amazon months ago, as I figured I'd have a bump long before now. Nope! They're comfy, but without a bump they're kind of pointless and feel like they fall down in the front. So I'm rocking some oh so attractive "granny panty" briefs that fit well enough for now.
I have always worn the Lacie thong from VS and they are low enough and stretchy so I think I'll be able to wear them throughout pregnancy, most of the maternity ones I have seen look pretty much the same as them anyway.
*TTC History*
Me: 37, MH: 38; Married August 2017
TTC #1 October 2017: BFP on 12/1/2017, DD born 7/24/2018 @ 37+1 after induction due to preeclampsia
TTC #2 January 2020: AMA, dx with DOR in May 2020
IVF July 2020: 16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 12 fertilized, 3 blasts, 2 PGT-A normal
FET 10/7/20: BFP on 10/12/20!!! (EDD 6/25/21); First beta 10/16/20 (9dpt): 148; Second beta 10/19/20 (12dpt): 621; Third beta 10/26/20 (19dpt): 4732; Fourth (and final!) beta 11/2/20 (26 dpt): 22,000+
@lalala2004 The seller's size chart seemed a bit off. Maybe if you're normally proportioned it'd work out better? But the "larger bottomed" reviewers sizing suggestions were helpful. I ended up ordering the 2XL and they fit snugly enough that they're not falling down, but not too tight either. Granted I haven't washed and dried them yet, so no idea how the shrinkage would be, as they are cotton.
Straight out of the package they fit fine, seem made well, and the fabric is nice and soft. But without the bump to take advantage of the lower front, they felt odd to me. It felt like I was letting my jiggly fat belly fly free which is uncomfortable, lol. So I just got some up-sized briefs until I can use the maternity ones. If ever at this rate.
I see they're back to full price, I ended up getting them on sale for about $9 a few months back, so I felt it was worth the risk if they didn't end up working out.

That's actually all I wore my first pregnancy, but I'm finding them really uncomfortable to sleep in.... So really I just need some maternity underwear for pajamas

That was me too, but after labor I now have these lovely hemorrhoids all the time and my whole drawer full of thongs just really doesn't work anymore. Tragic. I hate regular underwear so I'm also really struggling in this department. @lalala2004 I haven't bought any maternity underwear, but I've definitely been looking. I just sized up a ton in briefs/boy shorts.
@shri929 I'm sorry. I never had the shots, just a lovely capsule that left some nasty looking discharge. Did you have the option of a vaginal suppository?

Negative on the maternity underwear. I managed to avoid them last time, and I'm hoping to this time around, but we'll see! I looked into it last time, but most of them didn't look a whole lot different than regular. I just sized up in boy shorts and briefs with a comfortable waist band and wore them low.
Yeah, I just size up on underwear and look for something a little wider at the hip. Since they'll be a all stretched out and not fit afterwards I just buy cheapies to get me through
@shri929 I did them for several months and they are no fun. I'm pretty sure I have permanent nerve damage thanks to them. Are you self-injecting or is your partner doing it for you?

@shri929 I had the suppository supplements but not injections. The side effects are not great, made me sick all the time. I can't imagine the shots. Any chance you could do the suppositories (ask for the white ones not the red ones, the red ones leave pink/red discharge which can been concerning)
@Stac928@princesslockness I have been doing the suppositories for a few weeks and they decided to switch to shots. I thought the suppositories were bad but, omg! Take me back! @laurad75 omg nerve damage, really? I did notice that it felt like some of my back/ butt hurt into my leg. I’m getting them done at the drs office

Is anyone else having lots of food cravings? I seem to get ‘stuck’ on craving a specific food for up to a week until I finally cave and have it. This has been going on for around three weeks now.
I had some cravings with my first, but not sure if they’re just stronger cravings this time or if it’s because I’m not indulging my cravings as quickly and frequently as I did then.
@lalala2004 I’ve never worn maternity underwear, but I buy the cheap multipacks from Target/Walmart in larger sizes if needed. They are super stretchy, so I’m still wearing my ‘normal’ size.
I didn't even know that maternity underwear is a thing. This is my second pregnancy and I've always just worn my regular underwear which are mostly stretchy active briefs and boy shorts. They stretch over the lower part of my bump without a problem. I will, however, comment that having some super-cheap (basically disposable) granny panties is an absolute must post-partum.

@shri929 It's just a theory that its from the PIO shots but after months I have a lot of sensitivity in my upper leg/ side of thigh. That's not where we did the shots but that's what I'm feeling.

@lalala2004 I never needed them before but I did break down and got some from motherhood a month ago and it was heaven! I think I’m carrying lower this time - I carried super high with my first and a little lower each baby since. And I’m carrying more weight too. So the hanky pankies I wore in the past literally hurt, were insanely unflattering too, digging in.
so I’m in granny maternity panties all day every day now. They feel amazing lol!!!!
I LOVE my maternity underwear I got from motherhood. I wore them even after the baby last time because they were so soft and comfortable - they didn’t fall even without a bump.
Also off topic to everything else - is there a nursery thread I missed? Can we get a sticky for one? I’m AWFUL at decorating but I love seeing others ideas and find it inspiring. Plus some of our boards members are pretty crafty/creative so I’m curious to see what pops up..
I also didn’t know there was a such thing as maternity underwear. I am currently wearing the VS stretchy thongs but they are becoming uncomfortable. I always feel like I have a wedgy ( which they didn’t feel like that before). I think I am just going to size up on some regular underwear for the time being.

@lalala2004 I just bought bigger underwear from Target. They came in a pack and are super comfy.
@shri929 I do weekly progesterone injections. I do them myself, so unfortunately I can only get to one butt cheek and after seven weeks of them it’s starting to get itchy where I inject.
I finally got a couple of suitable bras! I've been putting it off because I don't know where to buy them from a brick and mortar store in my current town, but since I'm back in my hometown visiting, I figured a trip to the boutique was in order. They are wonderful and comfortable, and nursing bras, so I should be all set for the next year or so, fingers crossed!

@mapleandbacon the maternity ones have the give just as the waist band, where as sizing up makes the whole thing bigger. I suppose if my booty didn't grow too the maternity ones would make sense. But sizing up works fine for me.
Along the same thread of underwear... sorta... What's up with this sweating?? I'm soaking my underwear if it gets over 60°. It's going to be a long summer. A long, damp summer. Might have to start wearing Depends.
I was also going to add that I got a 2 pack of the under belly maternity panties from Wal-Mart, and they're nice, comfortable, and affordable. But I don't really see what the big difference is other than the stretchiness, maybe.
@Firemanswife11 I can attest to the teeth ruining!!! I essentially had no cavities before DS and now my enamel is just shot since having him and it’s rare I can go a whole year without one now. And they are weird ones like in the front of teeth by the gum line too.
My teeth are horrible after kids. Like anything that ‘bears watching’ has turned into a serious cracked/broken in half tooth within 6 months. It’s awful.
I can also partly blame it on my high school doc, who didn’t tell me to rinse my mouth after taking my discus inhalers.
