I'm a STM to a 19 month old DD (Aug 16) and a 3 week old DS born 3/20. We're adjusting to being a family of four and I'm adjusting to being at home with two under two. I'm a high school teacher and will be off the rest of the school year and the summer. Currently EPing, as DS was born at a low birth weight due to IUGR (induced at 39w, 5lbs13oz). Hoping to get him back to the breast at some point.

@becausescience I'm a teacher too! I'm so happy to have the whole summer with him. I do have to go back for post planning though. Do you get to skip out on that?
@mccurleya I'm planning on going in the last work day to put my classroom "away." It is a half day but counts as a full day, so might as well get that day paid.

Hello! My name is Kiersten. I'm 27 years old and a first time mom! I'm married to my high school sweetheart, who is 28 years old. We've known each other for 10 years and have been married for 4. We had our first baby girl on February 19th. Her name is Alice Grace and she is amazing! I work at a large bank in Minnesota and my husband is an accountant for a property management company. We both graduated from Penn State University in 2012/2013. We are currently adventuring on this journey called parenthood together and loving every minute of it! We both also love to Crossfit and Worship. I am on a worship team at our church and my husband helps run the sound board. We actually run pretty boring lives so if you read all of this, thanks. And nice to meet you all, again!
@becausescience, we had to start EPing due to lack of weight gain. Ped wanted us to know exactly what she was getting. Now we’re trying to reintroduce the breast again since she’s up to birth weight and having a little luck. She’ll latch once or twice a day. I’ve found that hand expressing some milk onto the nipple will generally get her initially interested then I’ll gently express more into her mouth until she latches. The LC I spoke to today said just to keep introducing and hopefully they’ll eventually get it.
Hi again. My name is Stevi and I am a 29 year old mom of 3 awesome kids ages 5 (DS), 2.5 (DD) and 4 weeks(DS). I am a stay at home mom and have been since my oldest was born due to his bilateral club feet, which we had weekly appointments for castings that made going back to work harder so I didn't. Before that I was a surgical vet tech and was working on my exotic animals certifications. This time around has been harder starting with Callum having high bilis, then finding out I had endometritis, and then recently finding out my gallbladder was failing and then having surgery the next day due to severe vomiting and pain making it impossible to keep food down.
Hi again , I’m Jennifer and a FTM to Aidan who was born via C-Section on 3/21. I knew a section was possible due to another issue I had but I ended up having one due to some scar tissue being on my cervix which caused me to not dilate . I work for the state in Human Resources and my husband is a firefighter . I am on and off the bump bc I only have the app while I’m on maternity leave but I’m usually more active when I have access to a computer .

Hi everyone! I'm Shawna, I was a lurker my whole pregnancy on the April board, never participated but I really would like to now that I have similar challenges and tons of questions ( pretty sure I'm annoying the pediatrician lol). I'm 30 years old and a FTM to an almost 5 week old. I was high risk my whole pregnancy due to a bicornuate uterus, a SCH at 11 weeks, and a high AFP level at 16 weeks. He was born at 36w6d via primary C-section (he was breech) after my water broke. He had to spend 24 hours under the bili lights for jaundice but we got to come home together. We are breastfeeding and supplementing with formula 1-2 feedings a day because he didnt gain weight very well at first.
A little about me: I'm a lab scientist turned nursing student set to graduate in December. My husband and I have been married for 6.5 years and together for 8 years.
Hi again, I was active on here until January, and then things got way too busy. Now things have settled, and I have more time, I am glad to be back. I am a 32yo, SAHM to three. A 7yo DS, a 20mo DS, and an almost 7wo DD who was born in less than 2hrs on Mar.1. I am 90% certain we are done having children. We live a pretty boring life when it isn't hockey season.
Hi everyone, again. I'm 36 yrs old and just had my first boy, Joaquin, my rainbow baby. He was delivered via C-section 2/20 due to my health issues. Still having the day/night issue. I'm bf and supplementing with formula because my supply is low. Currently struggling with PPD and with having to return to work soon.
I'm Alexis, I have read more than I post but I'm still present here! I'm a first time mother to identical twin boys who were born at 36+3 on February 8th via induction. I was lucky enough to delivery both vaginally (after OB became well acquainted with my uterus while flipping Baby B from breech to vertex). My due date was March 4th, so I still consider myself a better fit for this board, especially after taking my sons' adjusted age into consideration.
I'm 24 and have been with my fiancé (29) for 3 years. I just finished my bachelor's in animal science in May and was looking to start my career in wildlife conservation/rehabilitation when I unexpectedly got pregnant, though doctors said it was nearly impossible for me to get pregnant due to PCOS. I went into the hospital in June with severe pain, the worst I had felt in my life before childbirth and we all thought it was appendicitis or a kidney stone since I had one last summer, but they told me I was 3 weeks pregnant when they gave me a "just in case" test before giving me an MRI. Turns out that was the "issue". I just couldn't stop laughing it was literally the most random thing that's ever happened to me! There was only one heartbeat that was found at 6 weeks, but at 10 there were two babies! I have always wanted identical twin boys since I was a young girl and I am so grateful! With twins, it wouldn't make much sense for a recent college graduate to work because any job I get will be entry level so the extra money and more would just go straight to childcare so I am just at home with the boys while my fiancé is the breadwinner. I used to work in a kennel/doggy daycare but they illegally used very harmful chemicals that said on the bucket it could cause reproductive harm so I made the decision after my fiancé begged me to quit when I was about 7 weeks along or so.
I can't wait until my twins start interacting with one another! As of right now they interact with everyone else but couldn't care less about each other at the moment haha.
I'm Kim im 28 and a mom of 2 my daughter will be 2 in June and of course my son is my March baby he will be 2 months on May 9th. I live in eastern North Carolina.
Hi I am Laura I’m FTM to Charlotte who is eight weeks old. I was somewhat on The Bump earlier but then fell off of it. I’d love to be involved again with all you excellent ladies. I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and am taking this new mom thing by trial and error. Can’t wait to get to know you all better.
Hi all! I’m a FTM to a baby girl born on 3/5. I lurked on the March board pretty heavily throughout my pregnancy but never commented because everyone had such a good thing going that it never felt like the right time to interject. I’m so glad that these two groups merged and we have a chance to re-intro. I actually wanted to intro weeks ago but the bump app had me in commenter purgatory. I live in the mid-Atlantic region with my husband and cat and now baby. I have three weeks left on maternity leave and I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. Looking forward to sharing support and tips/tricks with this awesome community of moms!
Hi Mommies! I'm Sarah, mommy to Wyatt (9 weeks). I'm 29 and a FTM in Northern KY/ Cincinnati. I was active on here from early pregnany through March when life with a newborn became too hectic. I'm hoping to be active on here a little more now that we are getting into a routine. I hope all you ladies are getting plenty of baby snuggles.
