We all need a little Kanye in our lives this morning Happy Monday ladies! It's cold and snowing (flurries only but still...) and I'm so effing over it.
Other than the WTF state of our closets, our house looks damn good! *flex*
I think having people over is my only motivation for house cleaning beyond the basic vacuuming and dusting of the living room and master bedroom anymore. I am, however, sore all over and sleep deprived.
Our bathroom remodel starts today!! I feel bad for the workers though because it is POURING out. It's also giving me 2 work from home days this week too so no complaints here
We did so much on Saturday I'll probably be sore for the rest of the week. I'm so glad I have the summer off so I can get stuff done in the nursery, because it's going at a snail's pace right now.
We got our quote back on our new carpet! Now we just have to make time to go in and sign the contract and pay. I'm hoping we can get on the schedule for May so it's done sooner rather than later. The nursery is one of the rooms getting new carpet.
I just want to say that Tammy Duckworth is my newest hero! I've been listening to some of her interviews recently and she is so honest, down-to-earth, and positive. I know that there are a good number of women here (as well as in my real life) who started chose to start their families later in life and/or have struggled with infertility and I think politics aside she's an awesome role model for us. Also, next time I feel like complaining I'll remember that this woman is doing what I do but she's 50, has no legs, and works one of the hardest jobs in this country. I'm humbled.

Our neighborhood was the only one in the COUNTY without power this morning, beginning at 1:00 am when a tree snapped in half and landed squarely on the power line around the corner from us. Between it being about 42 degrees, overcast, super windy and pouring rain, and needing an LED flashlight to get around, my hair and makeup looked amazing this morning.
The Boston Marathon is today and its POURING rain. I've run this race a handful of times and have run my fair share of marathons in the rain but its the worst I've ever seen. I feel so bad for the runners.

@laurad75 - that is so cool that you've run the Boston Marathon! I've done a few halves but could never motivate myself to do the full. That is really really awesome!
@sarcasticowl - sorry about your power but hey, your morning is off to a terrific start
I thought I brought enough snacks to get me through until my MFM appt today but really, I don't know if I even have enough to get to lunch! This hunger lately is out of control!
@laurad75 Yuck, running in the rain is the WORST. So much chaffing! I used to run marathons and 1/2s before my son was born. Ran and entire 1/2 in Philly in the pouring rain to the point that there was 4-5" of water on the ground and we were all just sloshing in the streams. It was one of my faster times lol.....Cause I just wanted to get somewhere warm. Maybe it will work out well for those runners!

I'm in Boston. It's soooooo miserable. I have three friends running today and so far they're still out there as far as I can tell! I wanted to go cheer the runners on but I have to work. I'm also freely admit to being a wimp and don't want to get cold and wet. The upside of the weather is that the American runners are kicking ass!! I got a little choked up watching the online coverage of Desiree Linden's win.

I feel bad for everyone getting snow April and snow just don't go together in my mind...yuck. One year we had snow flurries on April 1st and I felt like I couldn't tell anyone bc who would believe me, haha (I'm in Texas so that's super late to be having any wintery anything). We actually had a nice day in the low 80s and my biggest irritation is with myself for not going outside and playing for a while. I'm planning to take the girls to the park tomorrow so maybe I'll feel better about it tomorrow.
I have been lurking for weeks, mainly at night, and the fatigue is real so i havent even had energy to respond. 20.2 weeks and I feel HUMUNGOUS. #3 is no joke. How am i going to do this for 19 more weeks? Also, so damn tired I have let my kids watch more boss baby than i care to admit.
i feel bad for the east coasters! growing up in ND i can totally relate to the crappy weather in april.
hugs to all. my goal is to post more but... you know, life.
Now the app has pop up ads and sponsored links at the bottom of the page? Ugh. This app is getting on my last nerve.
Holy crap. I hit ‘love it’ on your post and that somehow magically meant I was clicking a pop up and it blasted my screen.
The ads on the bottoms are obnoxious too. I hit ‘quote’ here and instead of taking me to the text box it took me to the bottom ads. Dear bump, advertising so heavy handed is NOT gonna make me click on these things - not on purpose at least
I can't remember what thread this was in and the bump is too glitch for me to deal with looking for it, but @melissaf22 were you the one who sold Lularoe? If so, I have a question for you!
This is going to sound dumb but where do I log out??? Lol! I opened up TB on my cell, not the app, so it's the mobile page. I'm logged in under my old account and can't find where to log out! Halp!
I know some have asked about the Amazon welcome box. I got an Avent bottle, Nuk pacifiers, a big, muslin swaddle blanket, onsie, Lysol cleaning wipes, huggies wipes, and a bunch of body wash, shampoo, lotion samples.
@hoodwink89 did they automatically send that to you? I made a registry a month or so ago and never got one! My target was also out of boxes when I went! WTF!
@mrs_drc_rn you have to go through the checklist and have a purchase off the registry for $10+ and then they ship it to you. You also have to have Amazon Prime.
For the Amazon box you need to check that you've completed all of their categories, and then buy something over $10. I had a semi difficulty time finding the category checklist, but I'm not sure if it's bad UI or stupid pregnancy brain!

@mrs_drc_rn It's been a while since I did it, but if I remember correctly: you have to have Prime, make a baby registry, check off all of the categories/or add items to each category, and buy something cheap (at least $10) from items you added to your registry, then you should be able to request the Amazon Welcome Box.
I'm fairly certain my hair is getting curlier. It's usually mostly straight, but it has a lot more wave to it than I'm used to. I was thinking it was just due to having a haircut and it being lighter now, but I think it might be hormonal? Is that a thing?
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
@mrs_drc_rn I had to add random crap to fulfill their checklist and then you can submit for the welcome box. Then I went and deleted all the random crap I added!
You don't actually need to add the random crap! I thought so too, but up at the top you can just mark the categories as checked off and that works. Just make sure every small category is checked.
@mrs_drc_rn My local target was out of the welcome boxes too. So disappointing.

@melbel0824 well dang, that didn’t work for me so I had to do it the annoying way! I was on the iPad and had such a hard time clicking, maybe that was why.
My target was also out of the boxes and amazon has said it’s out of stock forever, I just want my free stuff!!
i did an overnight at work last night and besides being dead exhausted I also can barely move today, some one sane should have talked me out of doing it.
I've spent all morning on the phone seeing to my crazy grandmother's affairs and debunking the lies she's told all over town. I am absolutely worn out. I don't even have the energy to take advantage of this beautiful day to do anything constructive that I should be doing.
I'm just now sitting down to eat some "lunch" which all I could think of was: a can of butter beans heated up, some plain celery sticks, and crab salad on 6 Ritz crackers. It'll probably blow my blood sugar out of the water and I'm almost beyond caring. Must be nice to be able to eat candy or pasta.
