@lifesabeach85 to an extent certain topics would be great as their own threads. The ones you listed would be great ideas once we get to that point. Not EVERYTHING needs to go under current threads, like the name thread, sure it could have stayed with randoms, but it's more fun on it's own. So long as it's a thread meant to FURTHER the group and not an "aw" specific to one person or something like 8 different "how do you cure MS" threads there's nothing wrong with starting specific threads. (I feel like I just said thread WAY too many times)

I've been told (from OB-GYN and endo) that diabetics aren't recommended to go past 38 weeks due to a 1/4 chance of premature placenta breakdown resulting in still birth, so 36-38 weeks is my window that I shoot for. I just look at it as 2-4 weeks automatically knocked off my due date
I usually have to fight with my insurance about how much insulin I need at the end because it looks like I'm stockpiling it or something. They'll send me a letter to check if I've applied for my provincial coverage, but I usually haven't reached my deductible for that yet.
I take humalog via pump. Haven't had to adjust basal rates yet, just my carb/insulin rations. Usually 1:8, but I'm 1:12 right now.
@prairiemomma82 I have type 2 i'm luckily only on insulin when I'm pregnant. I'm already getting letters from my insurance regarding weather or not test strips are necessary yeah I'd say if i'm on insulin checking my blood sugar would be pretty necessary.
I haven’t participated much *tw* due to my first pregnancy ending in loss, I just didn’t feel comfortable. I finally had my first appointment this week and got to see the heartbeat, so I feel a little better about this pregnancy. I’m also due late November, so I just feel so behind since some of you are getting close to the end of the first trimester. I’m only 6 weeks 6 days today.
Im going to try and make an effort to step up and participate more. My last BMB I participated in every ticker change and chimed in periodically when i had knowledge about something but it wasn’t regular enough to make the FB group at the end. That’s another reason I’ve held back, but I’m not going to let that experience stop me. I will definitely try and provide more support to all of you.
+1 to being exhausted. I bump while DS is at school twice a week for 3 hours (while also running errands and such), during his nap, and usually check again real quick at night. I try to read everything, but I don't always have time to comment on everything. I hope if someone is really in need of support they make it obvious/are blunt about it as someone mentioned above. I am sure none of us want to make someone feel ignored!
@middleschoolmommy - I hope you feel better! @MojieJo - I hope the doctor can give you some answers about your elbow!

@BabyBoyH92016 +1 for feeling behind everyone else. I am at the end of November too and depending on my next ultrasound, possibly even early December. I think in the beginning it’s hard to feel like a part of the group since even a week makes a big difference.
@mockingjay1 Thank you! It's been giving me trouble for a couple of weeks now, but it's getting worse. I have a feeling that for now it'll be rest, bracing and trying not to bend it too much some I can't take anti-inflammatories.
At least it's my non-dominant arm. Could be worse.
@MojieJo I know *sometimes* certain types of cysts can be treated or have some relief after applying heat. I hope your doctor is able to provide some answers beyond surgery. That must suck, I can't imagine how frustrating a feeling that must be to have 1/2 your hand go numb

Today was 3 of 3 1-hour-long presentations this week--my job is to process student loans and get graduating students ready for repayment.
Usually I walk back and forth across the stage while I talk. This week I had to ask for a stool b/c I am at that beautiful stage of pregnancy where I can't stand for a full hour, much less talk the whole time. I feel like I should preface this by saying I'm 5'5" and 160lbs. Average-sized.
The group of students are going to be Physical Therapists, so they're all SUPER athletic (lots of muscle shirts, backward baseball caps, and men and women over 6'2"). So the guy who had to go find me a stool was looking at me like I was one of those people on the "My 600-Pound Life" TV show.
Then on the way out, one of the guys asked me if I was walking back to my office, and I told him I'd take the shuttle. He said "oh I walk across campus every day" and then sped past me with his 5'-long legs.
While I'm not looking forward to getting fat, it will be nice to have a visible reason for being this lazy.

@kbrown2385 I was induced with my son after going past 41 weeks, so I feel like this very well can be a December baby too. Currently my due date is November 26.
@soehlerk I hear you! I work on a campus as well, and it can be daunting going to and from meetings (fortunately I only have a couple a week). I have been having a ton of fatigue as well. About 6 months ago we got amazing new motorized adjustable desks at my office, and I don't even feel like standing with mine now most of the time.
My current shame (in addition to my diet of mostly beans and rice, sigh) is the state of my house. I pride myself on being clean and organized, but I think the past year has proved me wrong. Now, I just can't keep up and things are piling up. My husband helps but his expectation level of cleanliness is not the same as mine. I need to go through things, donate, and make room if I even want to think about making a nursery once we're a bit farther down the road. I've thought of hiring some help with cleaning, but there's so much organizing that also needs to be done. We have a four-bedroom house and we effectively live out of one bedroom, the dining room, and the kitchen at this point. Even more sad is it's just my husband, my dog, and me. Is anyone else finding it hard to keep up with organizingcleaning it all?
Nov. '18 September Siggy Challenge: Falling into Fall
@prairiemomma82 Prepregnancy I take tresiba and victoza once a day. My last 2 a1cs were 5.5. I wish there were studies for those during pregnancy because they are AMAZING at keeping my sugars normal. I feel like I'm so up and down with novalog and levamir. =/
@serabjorn Oh yea. The moment I got pregnant I really started letting things slide. My husband also helps but his standards are different (like putting dirty clothes on the floor directly in front of the laundry basket). In my defense I have a toddler and a Labrador that sheds like a mother but still. I’m usually pretty triggered by a messy environment but I’m trying to ease up on that since I won’t be able to stay on top of things the same way once LO gets here. I’m practicing for that now
I feel like I’ve seen professional organizing services on Groupon. Maybe you could enlist some help there if you’re feeling overwhelmed getting started.
@lurvleybunchococonuts I may have to try some heat while I wait to see a doctor. Can't hurt, I guess!
It feels a little better since I wrapped it with an Ace bandage for most of the afternoon. I think I'm aggravating it by holding my arm bent so much (using my phone) and sleeping on that side.
@soehlerk I’m in the same boat as you lol. I walked about two blocks while on the phone with my husband and he laughed because I was huffing and puffing. It’s crazy how quickly I felt out of shape lol. I can’t wait to show so I don’t feel so lazy lol.
@serabjorn I feel like my house is falling apart as well. To top it off one of my dogs (an American Eskimo) recently had a flair up of atopic dermatitis and is losing hair like crazy. Like seriously leaves a silhouette after laying down, creates a cloud when shaking crazy. I feel so bad for her and guilty that I seriously considered shaving her a few days ago because it was soooo bad. She’s on a new medicine now so I’m crossing my fingers it works. But I’m avoiding all company because in addition to the clutter that has formed there is hair all over my house. It’s embarrassing but I don’t have the energy to keep up with it.
Two Furbabies: Mika (american eskimo) and Gypsy (wire-haired terrier, dachshund mix)
Twins: Kaiden and Zara born 10/2018 conceived after 6 years of infertility via a medicated IUI
@serabjorn I was just complaining about the state of our house. We have two dogs who shed and who are constantly bringing in leaves. The kids’ Easter stuff is everywhere. The playroom needs a trash can taken through it. And we have piles of clean laundry waiting for proper folding. I’m so exhausted though. It just isn’t happening.
+1 to feeling behind. EDD of 11/25. It does get bette, at least until the last month (DD was EDD of the 24th of the month). Then I just got grumpy that I was still pregnant while everyone else had a snuggly baby.
The state of my house is pitiful. MH has been good about helping out but he's so slow and just doesn't notice things that need to be done without me asking but it's better than me having to do it all myself.
@BabyBoyH2016@hollyeva my edd based off my lmp is 11/28. My last ultrasound was putting me at 12/2. I go Monday to see if they are going to change my due date or not. It’s hard watching everyone talk about the testing while I still haven’t seen the heartbeat.
I’m a terrible housewife. While people wash their floors daily and keep all toys picked up, I’m lucky if I change the laundry over and empty the dishwasher . Now im not saying my house is dirty, just not picked up all the time.
My memory is so bad I cant remember everyone who has tagged me/replied about my comment... But it's not that I feel ignored, or that no one replies to me. Even if tons of people reply to me, it's like an overall feeling that I'm not that memorable. I suck at explaining what I'm thinking so hopefully I make sense. It's clearly almost bed time haha
@CanadianGamerMom With your Tina Fey signature and your creeper profile pic, I think you are very memorable. I'm also interested to know what games you play. I didn't see if you responded to PP about that or not.
WHY is it uncommon to get an ultrasound every
week? There are two humans growing inside of me! If I was a doctor I’d want to
monitor the crap out of this!
@preggersabroad one reason may be that too much monitoring can cause worry and unnecessary interventions about things that end up being totally fine. If one week, one baby didn’t grow quite as fast as you would expect (even if still in the range of normal), or a hr was just a bit below where it has been (but still in the range or normal) you might freak out! But then the next week it could be that that baby had a growth spurt and the other baby was just sleeping. But if you have less frequent U/S you can just see in more general trends that all is well. One of my sisters had frequent u/s with her older son (had a slower hr but ended up being fine) and kinda wished she didn’t have to for that reason. It’s the same reason some women choose to have intermittent rather than continual monitoring during labor.
Some of my responses have disappeared... I think it has something to do with the app! Like I can't find my introduction on the first post.... And there's two others that I posted that didn't show! Super weird. Just so everyone knows! I am a real person and I really am pregnant! HAHAHAHA Do yall think I should re-type my intro?
@EM0704 Honestly, the intro thread is so long...I stopped reading it. Maybe that makes me a terrible person, but, it’s just too long and overwhelming for me!
The bathroom on our floor is out of order today. I have to pee way too often at the moment to have to walk to a different floor every time I have to pee...at least our badge works on the next floor up, so I don’t have to go down to the lobby every time.
@runningyogimama Ugh, I would be walking back and forth all day long! Hopefully they get it fixed soon!

@tessiesmom26 I’ve basically been up there once an hour so far, haha. It’s been closed since yesterday afternoon, which is unusual, and they aren’t working on it, so I have no idea what’s going on. Ugh!
@runningyogimama I stopped reading it too. It is long. I kept up with it for a while, but now I'm so far behind. Hopefully by being active on the board, I'll get to know everyone.
@runningyogima@wannaflickone +1 to not keeping up with the intros. I will occasionally click and read the 10+ new posts, but it's hard to remember if they aren't actively posting!
I have a question for those mamas who choose team green. Why? What are your reasons for not finding out the gender? My bff was team green for her 1st and said it was because it helped her get through a natural birth - the finally finding out if she had a son or daughter.
I'm so impatient. I had to wait 18 weeks with DS and almost went crazy. This time around, I will find out the sex of the baby in 2 weeks. Just 2 more weeks to wait and it's STILL driving me crazy have to wait!
Pfft, I can't keep up with anything... reading posts, doing dishes, remembering my kids names... oh well!
@middleschoolmommy With all my older three I left gender a surprise. Being high risk, I had weekly fetal assessments by the end, there was no surprise in baby's size or anything. It was the one natural little mystery I could leave, so I enjoyed that suspense (plus it was fun watching people guess!) My oldest always called the baby by it's correct gender and name though, when he was 2 with his brother, then at age 4 with his sister. Funny!
DH found out early with both of his and he's already impatient about finding out about this one! I've been informed that it will NOT be a surprise this time haha.
@middleschoolmommy I feel like there is only so many things in life that can be a true surprise and that is one of them. I've always said that I would wait to find out, especially with my first. All subsequent children, should there be any, I will be finding out, but I want my first to be a surprise.

@middleschoolmommy We found out with our first two and I was glad we did. Now I have one of each and I truly have no preference either way. The idea of the surprise and it being such a secret is exciting to me.
@middleschoolmommy we’re team green and everyone constantly asks us why! Like the others above, I feel like this is one of the few things in life you can actually be surprised about and also I hate pink so if we have a girl I don’t want people buying her horrible pink outfits.
I play mostly video games. Mostly an xbox girl. Halo, CoD, GTA, Garden Warfare, Rayman, I play Zumba s bit too, and of xourse Minecraft. I play PC a bit too (Ive been really missing playing Prison Architect lately lol).
@middleschoolmommy I’m one of those people that needs to know the sex ASAP. I found out at 12 weeks with my son via genetic testing, and will find out early this time as well. I still see it as a big surprise. When hubs and I found out last time we went to Baby Gap right after the doctor and bought him his first outfit. It was very exciting and such a nice treat to find out the sex after a stressful first trimester. It just made it seem more real.
We should find out the sex right before my husbands 40th Birthday, so we are hoping to announce the pregnancy and sex at his big Birthday dinner.
@middleschoolmommy - We'll see how this ends up, but I think we're going to be team green. We found out DS was a boy through NIPT testing and I'm having that testing done next week with this baby so my willpower will be put to the test. I had a preference with DS, and I don't think I really do this time. DS will be 4 in November so for a boy we'll even be the same season of clothes. I figure clothes/blankets are easy enough to buy if it ends up being a girl. Everything else we have is pretty gender neutral. Baby will sleep with us for the first 6+ months so I'm not worried about decorating a nursery right away either. This could also be our last baby, and I think I'd regret not being team green at least once.
